GOOD MORNING

LANI  speaking of Trader Joes - Have you found that cookie box mix - a cookie that has everything in it  :D  I forget the title - It was on the end cap of a row the other day - I make them a bit smaller so I get about 22 or so.  That way I can give Tim 1/day  LOL  You sure accomplish a lot on a very efficient trip.  WOW  super scary about the fire.  Keep us posted.  Like the map.  I'm a visual person   ;) ;)

CLYNN   LOLOL the deer in the Colorado shop - then brings family   ;D ;D ;D ;D    God bless Erin's friend!!  Gosh darn - Who can you trust!!!  Get that letter out pronto!!  My brother the geographer loves telling us about all the hwys.  He has a photographic memory.

PHYL  Stunning fall photos this AM.  You're getting PT  5 days a week??  :o  How did the first session go?

KB   Sure hope that is a simple fix on the Jeep.  We got the dribbles from the big storm that missed you.  Lasted about 3 minutes at 6 AM  We so need rain.

TIG  Good job - Glad your photos transfer worked.  Many of those are familiar from our family camping trip eons ago. ( Rushmore and Devil's Tower for two)    Loved the porch sunset - WOW and the gravestone of the 7th cavalry horse cemetery.  Bison are so huge close up.  :o

LISA  What is the recall on your Honda?  Do they call you to come in for the fix?

OK  for All the gall bladder fans out there:    The gall bladder is too infected now to remove.  A catheter was placed in it yesterday to drain "the infection"  Material cultured to make sure all bacteria is covered by the 2 antibiotics he is being given.  Questionable how long he will have this - for sure a month - maybe 6 weeks before it will be removed and that has to coordinate with being off his blood thinners a prescribed number of days.  Normally surgery is an out-patient event - but like the back surgery he just had, they kept him overnight.   Time will tell.   He became horribly confused late afternoon yesterday - scary.  Likely a combination of the morphine for right shoulder pain - a consequence of the gall bladder as it refers it's pain the to that shoulder ( learn something every day) and the versed and fentanyl he was given during the procedure - not quite out of his system.  Tim has a very low tolerance for pain - Anyway,  they were going to put a 2 bed alarms on for night time.  We shall see this AM how it all turned out  Again your prayers are what allows me to sleep and get through each day.  :-* :-* :-* :-*   Today I need to have him out of bed and in a chair and make sure some PT gets ordered.  He won't go home til white blood cell count in down in normal ranges and diabetes is controlled.

The Pallas cat...Far North of Central Asia is where this cat is from.

Awe tsk...yes, right shoulder pain which I have is a co-symptom of gall bladder disease. Believe me, I've found myself wondering myself...just wondering but still.

Hoping his white blood cells return to normal quickly. But, at the end of the day, a better dx than could have been considering how you described his look early on...I'm happy for that.

Baz - thanks for the links to JD Souther. I particularly love the Rolling Stone piece with 10 videos/songs embedded. Good stuff.

I'm attempting to drive the Jeep up to the shop after 9am when traffic would be slower just in case it stalls on me. Will walk home and then hopefully have it still in me to take Ollie man for a short walk...his first

tsk, oh my, poor Tim. I pray it all goes quickly for him, we know how he hates not being well. It sure seems like he has gone through a lot lately, especially for a man with a low tolerance for pain.  Ed also belongs to that club!

tig, I knew that, I forgot! Wonderful pictures you took of the magnificent sights of that area! The phones take great pictures these days. All the personal pics I post are from my phone, I save them to Pinterest and post from there.

Phyl, love the pictures! I see 3 more puzzles to make! 365 - beautiful black wolf, I have never seen one up that close!

NEFL - Gabby and I believe A1 are doing some nestorations this morning. A beaky kiss too. Happy Friday

Clynn... Great you found someone to find the correct fix for your vehicle!
Yes, I usually post my pics from my Chromebook file, no problem. I was getting a message that the forum platform was having an error. Kind of like my cable box, I just waited for "things" to be right.  :o
Hopefully, Camper will have some of his pics to me soon.
Similarly... lately, when I want our Google Home assistant to turn on a light or something, I need to speak in a low to voice! Camper is bemused. I speak normally and she says something is wrong. Lol.

got my first walk in with Ollie man...he's fine. The dogs are out in their yards in full force today as temps are less humid and a titch cooler.

Also got my Jeep up to the mechanic without it stalling while turning into it on a busy road!...whew.

There she will sit until they have time to explore what's wrong with a call hopefully to me later today.
they are really busy and I saw every stall had a vehicle already inside it.

Good Morning Beakers......TGIF!!!!

kb - Wow, those are some clouds, glad the storm missed you.  Good luck with your car repair.

tig - Glad to hear the hail missed you!

Lani - Oh, didn't even think about the fires affecting your internet...yikes!  Thanks for the SWFL video.  Love the good night pic.

clynn - That is quiet a price difference for the car repair! Glad you found a mechanic you can trust, and who is reasonable.  LOL, Jeff's crab cakes.  They were so good. Thanks for posting.  Thanks for the info on I-80.  Thanks for the NEFL pics, Gabby & A1 look great!

tsk - The recall is on a fuel pump module that may have have an improperly molded impeller, per the form.  It also states, that an inoperable fuel pump could prevent engine from starting, cause vehicle to lose drive power or stall while driving, causing the risk of crash or injury.  :o
Reading on about ((Tim))...continued prayers for him, and BIG HUGS for you!

Phyl - Pretty morning pics.  Thanks for the 365.

karen, Puff and all - Morning  :)

Lisa - sounds like my vehicle has something similarly wrong to yours...fuel line or pump or sensor for me I am guessing.

when it stalled for me while driving yesterday and turning a corner it scared the living daylights out of me.
Yes, get it fixed as soon as you can.

Just a reminder for all those who want the latest and greatest!:

Data centers and now chat gpt 4 uses tons and tons of water and electricity. affecting nearby homeowners esp hard.

Yep, we are supposedly getting one nearby...a different city, but right on my town's border with it and less than a mile away.

People on fixed income only should get some breaks here don't ya think?..Property taxes on owned homes, sales taxes, and more taxes and higher utility bills.

Pricing some of us out to "nowhere"...

My water and utility bills are already high.

Royal Albatross update - Ranger Sharyn Broni posts 15 hours ago, Top Flat Track chick has fledged. :-*
In the below video from Lady Hawk you can see the last sighting of TFT chick before he fledges.

Royal Albatross ~ LGL Comes Back To Feed TF! Drops A Big Piece Of Food On The Ground! 😲 9.19.24
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzsjGbJ1LXM&t=12s

Sep 19, 2024  #TAIAROA #royalcam #albatross
Mom LGL flies in and lands in a bit of a flop close to TF. He is very excited to have a parent come in and immediately runs to her wheeing for his breakfast. LGL begins to feed TF and she regurgitates a large piece of food - TF is unable to swallow it and it falls to the ground. TF didn't try to pick it up he just kept begging from LGL.

LGL sees the food on the ground and she grabs it with her bill and swallows it in one huge gulp! TF continues his begging LGL for several minutes and LGL continues to try and feed him. I am not sure if she was able to regurgitate that piece of food back up for him. I am sure LGL needs the nourishment too. ♥ When LGL is finished, she walks down the hill and TF whees at her because he can still see her.  Thank you for watching!

TF chick keeps trying those wings, he spent the night further away from the cam. It'll be soon  :-*

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Eagles4, Lisa, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Omasawyer, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Clynn, Glad you found someone to fix your car correctly!!  Love the article on Iris, Finn and family! She did inspire hope around the world. Never give up #BeAnIris!  :-*... I always miss and think about Iris during her migration. I know she has left, I feel it, the nest feels empty. Yesterday, the only osprey seen on the 2nd Hellgate cam Iris's dead tree might have been Finn. Because Dr. Greene was on the ground at the same time looking for the family, and sighted Finn only. The male osprey always the last to leave.  :-*  ... Beau was on the NEFL nest the day before too. Never heard of A1, sounds like the sauce. He must be the one with the injured talon that showed up last year for a short time. This nest has lost my heart when the last of the Hamlet eagles disappeared.

Tig, thank you for the correction. It's a beautiful capture of a stunning sky showcasing a calm and peaceful moment.

Hi Tsk, No, I didn't look for cookies for humans, just for the pets. LOL! Scottsdale's Trader Joe is always packed with people. Rude, snotty people! And they're always in a hurry!!  Lord, give me patience with my cart in tow!  :-X And you have no idea how much worse it is in the parking lot!! God grant me grace!  :-\ ... Scottsdale's Costco is worse! Yes, a day in the valley is not for the faint of heart! ... oh Tsk, I just want to hug you, I wish we could fast forward this difficult time for Tim.  :-* .. sending you both prayers... and gentle hugs for Lulu. We're always here for you.  :-*

Kb, good luck with the jeep. Take care.  :)

Phyl, beautiful morning pics. They would make great puzzles... I love the black wolf videos! Beautiful creature.

Lisa, crab cakes look delicious! YUM!

Royal Albatross Dad WYL

~ Dad WYL Comes Back 4 Times Looking & Waiting For His Chick But TFT Has Fledged 9.20.24

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivtmVsbvVHA

Sep 20, 2024  #TAIAROA #royalcam #albatross
This is coverage from Sept 19th & 20th with WYL making 4 stops at the nest in search for his chick TFT
so he could feed him. TFT was not here and had fledged! But TF was nearby and went to WYL in hopes he could get a feeding,

Notice how different WYL reacted to TF in this video versus all the other times that TF approached him.  Here you can clearly see that WYL is feeling some bewilderment as to where his chick is. He landed and looked around, then flew off and searched the headland for TFT then returned. He left again and then came back and he sat down and waited for TFT to come back to his nest. WYL is a first time Dad - these feelings are all new to him. So to not see his chick must have left WYL feeling confused.

TF's presence did not help as WYL clacks at TF and was not welcoming to him. While TF was growing up, if you remember, it was WYL who would sit next to him and visit, he never clacked at him, he was a gentle albie uncle to him. It was BOK who was  not so nice and would bite and chase TF away.

Today, WYL returned and had a long stay on the nest. He sniffs the grass for TFT's scent...taking all this information in so that his instincts will be able to tell him that his job is over and he can fly away and not return here for a couple of years. We have such beautiful zooming of Dad WYL ♥ TF was here just like he was yesterday- our TF is never one to miss a meal or a potential meal ♥ WYL clacks at TF and TF clacks back...the dynamic is changing.

I think WYL needed this time to process the fact that his chick was not here and will not be coming back. I do believe in their own way, they know that their job has been fulfilled as parents and they can now take the time to rest and replenish themselves since it has been a long process of raising a chick,  BOK has not been back yet so she does not know TFT had fledged. She may come back a few times as well before she takes off for South America.

Kudos to BOK and WYL on the great job they have done in raising TFT to be a strong & healthy chick! The albatross family is simply amazing, Thank you for watching!

9/19 An Osprey lands on Iris's tree at 09:34. A lengthy preening session and basking in the sunshine took place on this beautiful morning. The O departed at 10:31.
At this same time Dr. Greene is on ground and identifies this osprey as Finn. The only osprey he has sighted twice yesterday

good news on Nellie!....

Tim my favorite mechanic, older guy, worked on her for decades drove her twice and couldn't get her to stall.
Investigated her all day and at the end of the day surmised the following:

Battery....said it was 4 years old?...i'll have to check that, but low mileage...they go by years not mileage. Has a life span of 5-7 years. So, they charged it.
Bottom line when I drive so little over time when sitting at low RPM's it doesn't communicate with the engine well.

And yes, only sitting at a light or at low speeds did it stall for me.

Checked everything else. But, I told them to keep her and winterize her on Monday before I pick her up.
Check tires, brakes, all fluids and whatever else they do for winter and I'll pick her up.

Bottom line: when you don't drive much Nellie has a temper tantrum!

Not a big cash layout expected either.

I don't intend to drive just to drive so it's a learning process for me and hopefully others.
