some bounce

A few quick tasks in the yard. Ugly weather today. Soaking oven grates in the tub with good success.

Camper not feeling great but took his son to a movie for his bday. Worried. Sigh.

Caitlin and Indiana had a great game today. And I'm getting caught up with tennis, so far - so good.

I'm glad it wasn't a wild goose chase, tsk.  I'm also glad I let you know about it.  Maybe you'll be luckier at the other site?  It sounds like the guy you met might have been a regular.  Did you share any info about RRP?  Also sounds like the location has a variety of wildlife, animals.  Keep me up to date?

Lisa I've seen the VRBO TV adverts---would be nice, pretty cool house boats w/ slides no less.  ;) State of Tenn Parks Serv has some very nice log cabins fully furnished . Would be lover-ly for a weekend to just sit and commune w/ Nature and do some 'forest bathing'.

TIG so sorry to hear of {{{Camper}}}  sending prayers and good wishes he feels much better by evening

Lani  hope you have some girl time w/ Ally. Safe travels for Mike when he leaves

TSK the trip wasn't a total wash IMHO.  Glad you spotted some ospreys and BEs.  So nice Puff let you know about the area.  Maybe next time better distance for snaps

Easy dinner, just browned grounded beef  with diced tomatoes and onions and taco seasoning . Over tortilla chips with shredded cheddar while warm; shredded iceberg lettuce topped w/ avocado ranch dressing, chopped tomatoes, a brew , etc. Jim doing that while I give myself a 'mani'.Then we'll watch the latest verson of 'Dune' that arrived the other day.
You know---last night we fell asleep watching TV about 12:2o am and woke up at just 2: 58 AM.  :o  That better not happen to night.  ::)

(((Clynn and Aunt June)))

Tsk and Puff!  Interesting wildlife area!  How long has it been there!   Have a friend who lives in Lake Barrington.  Next time I talk to her I will ask about this!
Lani, you will have a great time!
I escorted Games  Gardner
thru the wards of the hospital in rvn!  He arrived late and when we got on the first ward, I understood why!  He was the most compassionate man to visit .  He took the time to address them by name and had meaningful conversations with each of them!   Turns out he spent time as a patient  in a Mash hospital in Korea  so he was very aware of  what these men and young boys needed to hear!   He waa a big man and very handsome!   I felt it was a privilege  to  escort him!

Lazy hot day today!  Cute Caturday  pictures. Etc!

(((Camper)))

Good news on the Hellgate youngster

Baz, enjoyed the family pictures!  Envy that lil boy his red, curly hair!

We sat for some granite time on our butt pads.

Laughing together at the River Otter antics of the pups.

Makes Pip and I smile very hard.

Tsk, Enjoy your day at Bakers Lake Prairie.. just read your post... you had an adventure! YAY Eagles!!! Are you going back now t

Phyl, What a cool story about your dad being on Rockford Files! One of my favorite shows! Yummy dinner! {{{Bob}}}

Kb, love the pup videos. There are many wonderful animal rescue and adoption organizations. I wish I could help save them all.

Lisa, Aly has been scolding me about not saving the firewising for her too. Mike took another load to the town dump today. I did 210 lbs of bags this week.  ;D .. I'm looking forward to having her and Dewey home for a couple of weeks. We'll go antique looking in Pine, do a puzzle, watch old movies and have a great visit! I need help setting my computer up for zoom meetings for this next year. I'm a bit nervous about that.

Tig, {{{Camper}}} what a great dad! YAY Fever!!

Karen, What a cool story and memory of James Gardner. I Did not know that he served and spent time in a Mash unit.

BL, sounds like a fun time for you and Pip.

Oldguy, thanks for the Beryl news. Mike will be on Southwest. He's keeping in contact with Houston employees and will decide tomorrow if he should cancel his trip.

Good night!

Watch a Family of Four Motmots Foraging

Watch on YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIE4Okv5c4k

At our Panama fruit feeder cam, the resident Rufous Motmot pair showed up with their two offspring on a wet day at Canopy Lodge. To spot the youngsters, keep an eye out for their shorter tails and puffier appearances (like the one on the right in this photo). If you look closely you may even spot a one-eyed adult—this bird has been living and raising young successfully since before the cam went live in 2018.

The perching and posing log (dead tree in the water) is a popular perching and basking spot this afternoon.  The water is still pretty high so good places to rest are at a premium.

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING

KAREN   I bet your friend will know about this Lake and Prairie. The man I spoke with says he remembers the area before it was a preserve!   So great to hear a celebrity - James Garner was relatable to the veterans . I would have lost my ability to speak. ;D ;D
I had a movie star picture of him on my wall as a teen  LOL  You had to send away for autographed pics  LOL   Didn't know he was in Korea.

BL  Who wouldn't smile at otters.  I get pics of them on FB all the time.  I need the smiles  ;) ;)

OLDGUY   Beryl  Mike's trip certainly dependent on airport..

LANI  I bet you have a nice long list for you and Aly to do. ;D   She will be a big help for what I presume is originating a Zoom.  I don't know how to do that.  Clever good night pic  :)

PHYL   A bright and cheery good morning back to you.  Had to hear pronunciation of motmot  It is " mot-mot"  LOL  Tropical birds are so colorful.

OLDGUY  Cards lucky for you last night?

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, great picture of the Flyway birds and turtles on the logs!  Interesting Motmots, they were sure keeping an eye on something to the upper left! The background sound is relaxing...  68 now, high 82 with some rain. Humidity 85% sticky!

Lani, that firewising is a lot of work, and in the heat! You and your man please take care! Tomorrow Aly and Dewey arrive! Have her look up Teamworks. That's what we use when I need computer help from Erin. He is Mac and I am PC, so that should work for you two. It will be a wonderful 2 weeks, you have some fun things to do! I talked to Mom yesterday, Aunt Junie is doing good, they are taking her to Evansville, IN for some tests tomorrow. Mom said one of the doctors didn't entirely agree on the diagnosis, so they want more tests that aren't available at the small town hospital. Aunt Linda will get to go home from the rehab this coming Friday. Then I got the call that Cathy (sister) is in the hospital, with pancreatitis! They are doing tests and will send her home tomorrow. That's three, so hopefully that's it!

BL, sounds like you and Pip are having a great time, just enjoying Mother Earth!

karen, oh I have always loved James Garner, The Rockford Files is running right now, I watch it often. I remember watching Maverick with my Dad way back in the 60s. Black and white. Nice to know he was a good person, I looked him up on Wiki and he really was a good man!

tig, hope Camper feels better today...

tsk, what an adventure you had! I have heard stories of GPS 'errors'! Once Kay and i were taking a different way to Mom's, the GPS had us on a dirt road when we approached Fairfield. Luckily, I knew my way from there, only 15 miles from Albion! Ed's oldest brother Bob lived in Barrington before he retired from Palumbo and moved to Arizona. Very ritzy area if I remember right. Bob's house was very ritzy! You got to see more than you went for, that is a very good thing!

Lisa, I think a houseboat vacation would be great! Would it be anchored somewhere nice along a river?
