Been catching up as I wasn't home all day.
Thanks for the info and the links everyone.
Enjoyed reading them.

Lani/Shannon I'm sorry the birthday greeting is late...I was at Southern Hills Med Center most of the day for wellness and several tests. And, have  a few more tests to be scheduled/completed.

NATIONAL HUG YOUR CAT DAY
When National Hug Your Cat Day rolls around each year on June 4, the purr-fect opportunity presents itself for some snuggle time. Depending on your feline critter's nature, hugging may not be in the cards. However, like most animals, touch is a vital part of communication - and the same goes for the claw-ful kind.

NATIONAL CHEESE DAY | June 4

Moooove over whiners! June 4th is National Cheese Day! An encyclopedia of cheese will cover the alphabet and broaden your vocabulary. It will undoubtedly contain more varieties of cheese than what's found at the local grocer.

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, I have hugged all my cats this morning! Hugs to Maggie too! Beautiful cake for Shannon! Hope for good results on all your tests...  Another beautiful sunrise on the Flyway!

Lani, did you get your irrigation line fixed? I think there must be a youtube to fix anything! How did we ever survive before?  :o Hugs to Norman and Mile today! And heavenly hugs for all of our loves at the Rainbow Bridge... Here is the Rhubarb Crumble recipe:  https://www.savorymomentsblog.com/2018/06/old-fashioned-rhubarb-crumble.html

E4E, hope your Mom's doctors can find a solution to the pain she has been having. Pain is no fun! I go to the chiropractor every month, it seems to help keep major back pain away. When I originally hurt my back (1995) it was terrible, the doctor told me to come back in 3 weeks if it wasn't better!  I went to a chiropractor for the first time, three times a week at first. The only thing that helped me at the time.

tsk, the Young Frankenstein Bloopers is so funny!

baz, that is an interesting career for your great niece! Ed's older brother was an engineer, he ran a road crew for Palumbo in Chicago. When they were charged for bid rigging etc in the late 90s his brother retired. He wanted nothing more to do with the 'mob' company. I just looked them up, after they got out of jail they started a new company called Orange Crush in Chicago. It was quite a mafia-type story. Ed almost went to work for his brother!  https://www.chicagotribune.com/2001/04/24/after-jail-palumbos-find-road-to-success/

Log jam from storms, from downtown Des Moines. The Raccoon River, which feeds into the Des Moines River at Des Moines.

LANI   Good video.  Did you have those coupling pieces already?  Isn't it funny that Mike should end up in Ohio at Avon lake which we have heard of from Ezee... ;D ;D

PHYL   Good that you can knock off several tests in one visit.  Everyday is hug your cat day as we well know. LOL  I can even hear the cicadas with all the windows closed in the house  :o

CLYNN  Bright whites this AM  ;D  Interesting article about the Palumbos.    Where did all those logs come from on the river?

Good Morning Beakers

baz - We had Fiddler crabs down on the beach in Bay St. Louis, MS when I was growing up.  They would be hanging out by the culvert pipes.

tsk - Hope you had a nice volunteer BBQ dinner.  It was hot here yesterday too...AC never stopped running.   ;D I have to share your video with Jeff...Young Frankenstein is one of our favorites!

E4E - Yes, I was very attached to the kitties, and I told Jeff I am never fostering again, cause I would be one of those foster FAIL people!  ;D  I would end up keeping them next time.

Lani - Thank you, I did have a nice day.   :)  Did you get your leak fixed?

Phyl - Hope all is ok!

clynn - Yikes on the log jam!

tsk, it's all from all the storms we had this spring, probably even some from the heavy snow storms we had in March. The Raccoon River is 30+ miles long, it flows into the Des Moines River, you guessed, in Des Moines.

Lisa, another beautiful cup of coffee, with yummy croissants! We have had the A/C on, since Sunday noonish. It got to 87 yesterday, supposed to get to 83 today but that's what they said yesterday.  ::)  I don't think I would be good at fostering, I would also want to keep them all...

Norwich Peregrine Falcon Forum - Petra Sjouken - June 4th - Nice feeding going on. Feathers coming through rapidly.

Think I went to High School with one of the Palumbo family!  As I recal, a real cute Italian guy with curly black hair!  Lol.   Close knowledge of the Acardo family, the head of the Family, at one time!  Some of my male HS friends dated a daughter!  They had a bowling alley in the basement!

Tsk I thought Avon Lake was a haunt of EzeeQ!   Call home, Ezee!   I just mentioned him a day or two ago.   How was the bbq?

CLynn, are those logs  from a logging company or fallen trees?  I cannot believe all of them washed out together!  Hope someone has broken them up to prevent flooding!   I have sipped Crown Royal in years past but do not know about Peach!

Baz, good luck to your Great Niece in what ever she decides to do!  Goid stories as usual.

Phy, how you testing provides good answers and solutions!

Lisa, beautiful morning  scene!   I hope the beautiful restored BSL  does not take a hit  during the up coming summer storms!

Bl.  I am stuffed after sampling Shannon’s cakes and Lisa’s morning croissants Bbl

LISA   " foster FAIL people"  LOL   I can't even volunteer in a shelter for the same reason... ::)

OLDGUY   Thanks for Santi update on Zoom  Poor baby.  Kilauea eruption - how unusual.

KAREN   Breezy enough to sit outside at tables set up on the parking lot for the BBQ.  Over 100 people came which is only really a drop in the bucket for all the volunteers that keep the church and school running.  The Pastor was VERY pleased with the turnout.
They catered Mediterranean which was a real switch but was very good.  He announced that the big fund raiser for the year which occurred last month ( dinner, raffle, auction, dancing ,etc)- 40% of those attending were first time attendees which speaks well for getting a new generation involved in the church.

LANI   Isn't Tulip a sweetie  ;D

Well discovered this AM that not only have the deer eaten the west garden hosta and flox and some transplanted black eyed susans from Barb, but I see today they now found the east garden and have nipped all the flox and black eyed susans there.   :P :P  They do not like daisies  ::) ::)   I still have not uncovered a big bunch of black eyed susans in the west garden so those remain intact despite that the big hosta next to it had been munched on.

Oldguy, thanks for Kilauea update.... Prayers for Big Head, glad WS found out what was wrong with Zoom, so glad she's well.

Lisa, yes, leak fixed. Waiting for another one to pop up. LOL! ... I would be a foster home fail too. I'd never give them back. ;D

{{{Phyl}}} Beautiful sunrise.... Thank you for beautiful cake for Shannon... I hope your tests go well. 🙏 {{{Miss Maggie}}}... I hugged Norman and Milo  :-*.. I love cheese everyday!  ;D

Clynn, Hopefully, break in hose repaired. Since the line runs underground, I look for wet spots in unusual places. Especially after we get our monthly water bill. Sometimes I have to hire someone to dig under the hard rocky soil and repair the leak. But, if I can do it myself and save on $$$. Our landscape worker in Scottsdale showed us how to take care of our own broken lines... thanks for the rhubarb recipe. My MILs favorite summer dish.... what a log jam.

Tsk, I keep everything needed to repair an irrigation line... Whenever Mike goes to Ohio, his meetings will be held near the Avon Lake main office/plant.... I hope your bbq went well.

tsk - oh boy, that's a lot of destroyed plants from deer it sounds like. I don't remember if you have had that problem in the past, at least this extensive?

You probably are going to have to deer fence around all your gardens going forward...I do with chicken wire  in the winter for rabbit prevention desruction and only the plants/areas they love to eat in winter.
