tsk - Send some of your rain this way.  It is a hot one here today.  Ooo, you made more sauce!

oldguy - Thank you, replied!

kb/Jaspurr - Thanks for the video link, so glad those eaglets were rescued and are being taken good care of at SOAR!

Have a good night, everyone!

Relieved  to know  Urbandale eaglets were rescued and  as mentioned weren't  crushed by the nest---are being taken good care of at SOAR!

Tig  Hopefully you two are on the road home---sending wishes for a safe journey.

Hi Puff  I've never cat fished in river or lake---off pier is all I've done. But, I sure do love that fish dipped in milk and
rolled in corn meal then pan fried with some catsup .
On subject of departed pets:There's a pet crematorium  in Pegram , Tn that has always picked-up my cats---Samantha, Mitch and then Mike here at the house ---I kept then wrapped in a specially sewn/ embellished pillow case each,  resting in the laundry room a top the washing machine. Only a few days passed and their bodies were fine. The couple brought each one home and greeted with me at the door---"Samantha's come home. etc. " I've the trio of urns stored  on the shelf in our bedroom closet. Our pets are family no other way to say it, IMHO.   :-*

CLynn cute kitten puddle on tree stump; wonder if the darkened fur at surgery site isn't a type of scaring ---when Mike has his lung surgery
and was shaved  he developed a black scar along the incision  in his skin.  Well, I think Sophia's darkened fur on her belly is cute.
Tks for sharing NR's link of the Wells Osprey nest and the hatchlings news. Great snap. Tks NR. Oh---I can see that there are 3 hatched. No worries there.

Tsk    FNC had a short segment on  Marian Robinson's passing yesterday. RIP Marian. ; sweet Caturday this AM; more sauce huh? Still think it'd be good over vanilla ice cream.

Lani   sweet Abyssinian this AM . Right there---do anything for them. Sounds like a very nice  'birthday' visit/celebration  w/ Shannon . Safe travels for her and Mike.

Lisa    thanks for update on Brian. Bless him for clearing it all up and getting in order. Cute Caturday this  AM

Hi Eagles      from what I'v read one of three therapies used, (1) PT; (2) Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy. and (3) Tissue Regeneration Technologies. Supposedly docs don't like cortisone/cortisol injections due repetitive damage to  joint cartilage . Glad your eye glasses situation
turned out fine for you.
You;re going on a Alaska cruise. How wonderful.  This is the best time of year to see Alaska.    Jim and I were there in  August '05 when he was flying for Doane Pet Care in Joplin Mo and then here in Brentwood, TN. We met our  company Pres and his family and a prospective client in Juneau when they docked --to fly them to back  Nashville. We arrived 4 days early as instructed for a mini vaca and had a wonderful time touring the state and coast.   Gobble up the lobster as it's cheap, cheap and fresh caught  from the coastal  fishing boats.  Got loads of snaps too.  And  no end to stories  to  tell.  You'll have fun and memories to share with us.

OG
''Good Luck' at cards tonight--if you're playing.

Good Morning Beakers!

I'm running behind already, slept an hour or more later than usual! We will be celebrating Erin's birthday today, he asked for burgers on the grill! (His birthday is actually Wednesday). I got his birthday 'cake' made, it is actually Turtle Pie. We used to get it from Baskin Robbins but a few years back I decided I could make them myself! It's just a graham cracker or chocolate pie crust, BR Pralines & Cream ice cream with caramel drizzled on the top. Pop it in the freezer. I always make 2 so they can take one home for his actual birthday.

Phyl, haven't seen any mosquitoes, but it has not been that warm yet. Haven't seen any cicadas either!  I am sure that will change!  Love that tree covered walkway in Spain. There is a street a couple of blocks away that is lined on both sides with Ash trees. They are probably over 30 years old, they overlap in the middle. It's like a tunnel. Beautiful in all seasons!  Last year there were notices on every one of them, 2 blocks, and I thought oh no, they have that darn Emerald Ash Borer and they are going to cut them all down. But one day all if the notices were gone! They must have all been treated! I would love to walk the streets of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie!

Lani, love the poker playing cat! Hope Mike is even better than yesterday! When is it he leaves for Ohio?

tsk, glad you got a good rain yesterday! Scattered storms possible today, even more possible tonight. Ed will water my flowers today, that way it will rain for sure!  ;D

kb/Jaspurr, great report of the Urbandale eagles. Urbandale is a Des Moines suburb, just a few miles from WDM, I had never heard of that nest! So glad to hear that they were all okay! SOAR will take good care of them!

Lisa, we need to see a new pic of Fatty Patty! I think the kittens are getting fat! That picture reminded me of Etta, baz's sister's cat! My sister Cathy will be Mom's Executor, Mom & Dad assigned that task to her when she lived 15 miles away from them. Then they moved to Texas, and I am the closest at 500 miles away, but I don't want the job...  ;D

E4E, I can't believe you got the wrong glasses! I wonder if the other person got yours! I bet you were wondering what the heck happened to your eyes!

Good Morning Beakers

tsk - Yikes, pouring for 2 hours.  I bet you got more than 1/2" in your rain gauge.

tig;D I would have lost the fish with my eyes on the Teddy.

Phyl - Thanks, and yes, Brien is getting things in order.

karen - We must have been having the same weather yesterday.  It was hot, but breezy.

Lani - Love your poker playing cat from last night!

E4E - I totally missed you saying you were going on an Alaskan cruise!  I hope you and Kris have a wonderful time.  That is on my bucket list.

clynn - That turtle pie does sound easy to make.  I don't mind that Brien is the Executor, but I think he does, cause he works all day, and doesn't get home till late in the evenings.  He just knows I am home all day, and as he puts it on the computer.  ;D
As you requested...a recent pic of Fatty Patty helping Jeff telework.

So 1/2 inch of rain in the AM and the late afternoon/evening rains brought another 1" of rain.  We can dry out a bit today - partly sunny and high of 76.  :)

PHYL  Our pets are certainly family members for a time.  :(     Cool archway in Spain.

CLYNN  I love ice cream pies but none in this house with Tim lurking  LOL   The other day on my way home from errands I had such a craving for ice cream I stopped at the ice cream shop and had a kiddie dish of butter pecan.  Tossed the container before I got home  LOL  You are so nice to make two pies.  Hope they had it on ice for the ride home  ;) ;)  Looks like Finn found the eating pole.

LISA   Fatty Patty  LOL

Lani - the humans built the trio a nest but only 8 foot off the ground. The parents circled but didn't take care of them stating they didn't recognize their nest...They were returned to SOAR the next day with the following latest update I can find dated May 25 below.

The trio will be released when they are ready to live in the wild on their own.

The parents are now seen trying to rebuild a new nest.

some bounce

We are home, safe. Food was great Friday night but we had skeeters bothering during sleep. The owner let us stay an extra hour yesterday and he and neighbor helped bring the rest of our stuff up the hill. Camper had taken quite a bit up on Friday. We stopped for breakfast at a favorite spot. I tripped or something but managed to catch myself. I made quite a commotion however. I was very sore and barely made it up the two steps when we got home. After putting food away, I got to my easy chair and have barely left. My upper body feels better today.

Camper's son will hopefully mow our lawn today.

Thanx for good wishes and for interesting posts

E4E - I did an Alaskan trip that included cruising the inside passage in Sept. 1980. I hope you love it as much as I did.

Good to hear you are safely home, Tig...not so much on the soreness...lucky you to have someone mow for you today..
Looks to me I should mow the front, er um, again....before tonight's storms but I didn't sleep well last night so.....it's nap day for me. I'll get to it probably tomorrow or Wednesday..

A few quick peony pics. The pics don't really show the beauty of their color in person.
