Lisa, watching the rewind around 7:30 AM, there were 2 wild turkeys, perched near each other.  One walked and one flew down from their roosts and moved away from the edge of the bluff as the camera color came on.  Then cam ops switched to BE in higher perch.  Such fun to watch all the activity.

I love seeing all the activity, too.  :)

HD was on bluff perch this morning, left there to fish the pond.  He flew to lower bluff tree, then broke off a stick, and flew over to other side of the bluffs with stick.

Lisa, Love the kingfisher!

Wonder if anyone has seen HM or HD visiting N1 since the cameras returned live?  We see them in the general area, but on this nest, or any other, like N2B or the nest they started last year in the pasture corner?

I have not seen them on nest, or any other place the cam ops has shown.

A few pics from Decorah this morning.  Hard to tell so far away, but looked like both HM & HD were around the bluff area this morning at different times.  GBH seen upstream in pines.

Wouldn't it be nice for RRP to put a camera out by the fishing corner for closer views of that bluff area?  The wish list is long!

Did you catch the raccoon foraging in the creek on the N1 side, around 8:00 this morning?  Same time as the GBH in the pine tree.

STL From RRP FB 3 days ago:

Quote from: RRP
"While HM and HD don't appear inclined to come back to N1 or to adopt N2B, we have seen them fishing the pond and carrying sticks to the east. We'll go scouting for their latest nest and for Mom and DM2 once more leaves are down".

About 1:30 this afternoon, adult BE perching along the bluffs upstream from N1, probably HM or HD.

HM & HD seemed to perch in two separate places this morning.  One on bluff perch, and the other in an area behind or E of N2B somewhere.  Looked like HM upstream this afternoon, also.

It looked like HD arrived on the lower bluff tree this morning.  HD also flew to the backside of the lower bluff tree where he perch for a while, before heading out W of hatchery past the pines by raceways.  There was a lull for a while, and then HM & HD were spotted again perched in the bluffs to the left of the mid bluff (as shown in STL's).

Great pics, Lisa, as usual!   Looks like the cornfield is getting harvested so we'll probably see deer feeding on the dropped ears and kernels in coming days.

Thanks to the cam ops for lots of panning views today, and some closeups of the trees as they lose the intense colors of fall.

Early this morning, it looked like HD on bluff perch based on shape.  A short while later, you could see someone fly in from the left to the tree top above HD.  Cam op zoomed out when HD flew off, and you could see HM perched on tree top above bluff perch.  She broke off a stick, and flew over to E side of bluffs.  She use to perch there alot last season.
