Very interesting, huh!  Here's a pic of HM & HD in trees near N2B about 10:00 this morning.  So it seems that they are testing a location with a starting nest kind of between N2B and N1.

Late afternoon, the cam ops at Decorah found a small flock of turkey vultures way out and way high in trees, perching and mating.  Lots of activity in April.

At N2B, the female goose is sitting tight [no pic].  The female at N1 has been doing the same, and she checked her eggs about 4:40 PM; all looks OK.

HM and HD have spent time today in the pasture tree, seen in pics from two different cameras, I think.

Questions:  Is the new tree alive, just without leaves yet?  What kind of tree is it?

That new tree was in full bloom when I was in Decorah last summer, so I am guessing it is still alive.  I am not positive, but think its a Cottonwood, too.

Looks like there will be goslings today at N1, what a thrill!  The eagles are aware, and the geese are honking and on high alert.  All very eggciting.
