Looks like time to start posting on the Goose Cam part of the Decorah nest forum.  Do we have a sub-label for 2024?

A pair of geese were checking out the N2B nest and area of the creek under the nest tree this morning. For newbies, N2B is in one of the tall trees across the road from the Pond as we look at the length with the dock nearest us.  But which tree? 

It's possible that the geese might discover and use N1 this spring, too.

STL - The cam op zoomed in to N2B this morning from pond to N2B tree.  I grabbed a screenshot, which is my third pic in the post.

Lisa, cam ops zooming is sooooo helpful in figuring out which is where!  I'll go back to the rewind to see which tree is N2B from the Pond view and post a pic with a circle.

From the Pavilion Cam looking north at night you can find the location of the N2B Cam very easily.

That bright ball of light directly above the telephone pole off the north east corner of the retention pond is the IR light shining down on the N2B nest.   

The 3rd image is N2B from N1 at night.
N1 cam looking almost due east _ downstream Trout Creek. 
1/3 from bottom of image is Siewers Spring Road running N - S across the road bridge.

Sometime after 9 am this morning, HM dropped down from above N1, as a squirrel was on the nest and Y.  HM moved to the Y, then flew out.  Another copulation on the tree top near bluff perch this afternoon.

Lisa, great pics.  I've been wondering if the Hatchery pair would keep tabs on N1 and it looks like they are, at least sorta-kinda.
I saw the same as you on the rewind just now.  But that branch is not "The Y," which is on the other (left) side of  N1.  This Y-shaped branch is flatter and it overlooks the pasture and bridge side of N1.  Hope that the mating in the treetops means there will be eggs and eaglets soon!!
