The lovely blond Peach came this morning about 10 am.
They spent about half hour together in the nest.

Jack's been gathering a LOT of soft bedding today, and a long branch.

First up was LO4 - she wants nest but Jack DOES NOT want her!

A female came by but we are unsure its LO5.

There is another nest nearby with a bird they think is LO5 - who already has a mate.

Early morning a female landed, Jack landed after her.  No aggression.
Intruder chased both off.

That Feb 4 wonky wing feather is LO6 - Jacks new mate.

At least one intruder attacks, both defend.

LO6 has officialy been named = Jill.

Jack n Jill fly in at dawn, commence with the romancing. First of course, Jack does his thing with his high skydancing

Jill's spots / necklace is so pale they're hard to see. This 'blond' is a subspecies of the osprey in Florid.

INTRUDER, FIGHTING
February 9, 2024
Another day of intruder attacks - might be LO4.
Jack n Jill defend nest.
Several matings.
About 11 am cam went down.
It may've been hit by an osprey - they were crashing into it fighting.

Feb 10 New female in nest at dawn
Where is Jill? Hope she isnt hurt.
Jack arrives. and mates with LO7.

Feb. 9 ospreys fighting, evidently Jill evicted.
Cam went down before noon so we dont know.

The pair disappeared around noon for the rest of the day.

When an osprey sailed over the nest, they both came - but left right away.

They likely roosting in the mangrove just behind nest, as we can hear them.

A juvie ibis perched for 10 minutes, eyeing the nest.
What a treat!
