The majority of bald eagle clutches (79%) have 2 eggs.  17% have 1 egg, 4% have 3 eggs, and less than 1% have 4 eggs.  The term clutch is used to describe the collective eggs that a bird lays at a single nesting, even if only 1 egg is laid.
