Lani, good report on Mike!  Phyl, good news for Jim!
Lani, I am reminded of an episode of the Golden Girls where a single, full of himself  pilot was at a neighboring doctors house!  He showed the doctor his arm and screamed, what are these spots?  Wanted to know if it was cancer.  The doctor told him  they were liver spots or old age spots and he yelled, oh no, my father had these and he looked like a Dalmatian!

Interesting comments re water   Historically I drank about a pitcher of crystal light sweet tea a day! Or, I might drink a large bottle of diet coke!  Loved them both.  Lab tests showed I was dehydrated!  So, I drank a little water realizing tea is a diruretic and I was already on two of those !  Then I noticed some edema from my knees down!  Cardiologist office checked my records and calked back saying I was to drink 64 ounces of plain water a day! I have to weigh when I get up and call them if my eeight has gone uo by 5 pounds! So fr so good. Also watch sodium intake but probably not enough!  I did call and ask about flavored water and they said maybe a little lemon on occasion but nothing else.   Will see tgem in .december and ask about this again as I really do not like water!  Lol

LANI   Tim's arms are covered with those "blood spots" as he is on 3 blood thinners.  Sometimes we have to wrap his arms in towels at bed time.  LOL   Interesting that the ranger doesn't use gloves to pick up that bolus  ???  I think Manaaki was letting her know there was more..LOL

KB  Know what you mean about that "catch" where you can't take a deep breath - Haven't had one in a long time.

TIG  I can imagine smelling that wonderful clean lake air as you watch that Mesabi Miner slo mo out of harbor.  Where does it hail from?

KAREN  You are a real trouper.  I guess if it was life saving I could do it  ;)

BAZI..  Sounds of silence     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fWyzwo1xg0&ab_channel=SimonGarfunkelVEVO

...

TSK, I love that song. Were you posting it for me for a particular reason? I don't understand - sorry... Okay... "Silence is golden" - I figured that part in relation to the song and your post saying you were "golden," but I'm too dumb to understand what you're trying to say... LOL... sorry... Please fill me in?

Lani, thanks for the link to the news article, I sent it to my friend...  ;D  I drink ice tea all day long, but I guess it doesn't count as water, maybe.  ;D I have found yes and no answers on that one! At least it's not soda! (Except with my adult beverage...) I may try some of these, 7 water substitutes:  https://www.sheknows.com/health-and-wellness/slideshow/9614/beverages-that-count-toward-your-daily-water-intake/1/

tig, my shower mat does have suction cups, I just didn't press them down first.  :o Is there a special reason for a clear mat? Mine is blue...

baz, Puff from Simon & Garfunkel's song Sounds of Silence (a play on words...) Sorry, I thought for sure you were all Simon & Garfunkel fans!  https://www.bing.com/videos/search?pglt=41&q=lyrics+sounds+of+silence+simon+and+garfunkel&cvid=55fd140a34af4e73a8ac81f6ad6f4c87&aqs=edge.0.69i59j69i57j0l5j69i64.9859j0j1&PC=U531&ru=%2fsearch%3fpglt%3d41%26q%3dlyrics%2bsounds%2bof%2bsilence%2bsimon%2band%2bgarfunkel%26cvid%3d55fd140a34af4e73a8ac81f6ad6f4c87%26aqs%3dedge.0.69i59j69i57j0l5j69i64.9859j0j1%26FORM%3dANNTA1%26PC%3dU531&view=detail&mmscn=vwrc&mid=41F6E84DE604EE83978641F6E84DE604EE839786&FORM=WRVORC

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
In tenement halls"
And whispered in the sounds of silence
..

Lisa, lots of baby giraffe Halloween costumes out there, just Google it!

kb, you can endlessly look at abandoned buildings on youtube, ones that should have been saved. This one particularly intrigued me: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=bennett+college+ny+youtube&docid=603492335904840423&mid=761D9E30611042959D6A761D9E30611042959D6A&view=detail&FORM=VIRE    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bennett_College_(New_York)    Very sad that it lays in ruins...

Aha! Clynn! Thank you!  ;D Of course I'm a Simon and Garfunkel fan!!! I played that album, and particularly that song, till I just about wore the grooves slam through! But I never, never, never EVER would've pulled that lyric out of my memory banks by looking at that cartoon. Thanks for splainin' it Lucy for me!  ;D ;D ;D  P.S. I've read that any liquid counts toward the total fluid intake... though some say it doesn't. The most recent article I read, by a for-real medical doctor, said that old saying of 8 glasses of water a day is hogwash. LOL. It said that's a healthy thing to drink, but the recommendation is for getting enough fluids... and it doesn't have to be water.   :) Just my two cents worth... LOL.  ;)

TSK, I guess you were trying to answer the question I had posed to Clynn, when you posted that song link. But I didn't put that together either, because yesterday you said you were "golden" - so I though that was what you were trying to relate the Silence Is Golden song to, and I didn't understand why.

Okay... I'm all good now!  ;D ;D ;D

(TSK)
Baz... sorry I missed that you posted the cartoon answer
(Jim) - I have been adding molasses to my cereal lately
Clynn - not special to be clear, just being descriptive, LOL
Puff - I've seen some at a slant. Ours is horizontal... it nicely holds the clear (LOL) bath mat until it is dry.

Trying out a new place. We may experience electronics withdrawal. LOL. https://www.grandportage.com/index.php/staying/cabins
Hoping to see lots of stars and wildlife...

SED, again  8)

Tig, I have never cared if anyone posts saying the same thing I already did. I know some people seem to be sensitive to that, but I'm so not! It isn't a competition, after all.  ;D ;)  That lodge looks great! Are y'all headed there just for the weekend? Enjoy!

(((TSK))) Ugh on the soreness... hope it starts to lessen soon! I don't know what those blood spots are y'all are talking about. Sorry Tim has to deal with that. Do you mean you have to wrap a towel around the arm to keep blood from getting on the sheets? Glad your glasses were an easy fix!  :)

Lani, (((Manaaki))).

Gotta run...

Have a good evening Beakers!  :)

Baz...  ;D We needed to check in at the lodge but we are staying in a cabin. It took over half an hour (Camper stood on his sore foot for me) to wait in line to check in! And another half hour line to get seated in the restaurant! Needless to say I'm having an adult beverage.... or two!
Phyl... one of Camper's cards to me had very similar doggies to your wish. Aw.
We may watch some of the game here and then drive to the cabin.
