The Cliff Cam is up again.  The long holiday weekend has brightened!!   ;)

Lani, Good news that Karen and Piper are okay. Prayers answered.

Oh I didn't know you knew! Yep. Went down hard .. a face plant and ate dirt too. Ugh
It will be a while healing up and moving better again but I'll get there. Could have been worse.
I hope all is good with you and family.
You take care.  :)

Hi Eagles, Always nice to see you too. I haven't been here for a while so didn't know about your trip. Your pics are beautiful. I'm glad you had a pleasant time.
You take care.  :)

Hello Beakers

It has been a nasty day in the SE today...  The major attribute of Idalia that has been favorable is that it has been moving swiftly, while creating the carnage.  It was moving at 18mph at landfall this morning and has maintained that speed and a little faster to 20 and 21 mph this evening.  Currently at 60 mph wind speeds while over Charleston S.C.  It is following the coastline and is expected to head East when it gets to Wilmington N.C. - at current speed, it should be there by morning and maintaining the 60 mph max winds.  Baz should be clear of any danger by noon.

Brett Adair has post many videos tonight of the damage from Florida...

Tsk, your morning gif with the penguins! LOL!

Lisa, oh no, now it's Jeff's car that needs repair... funnel cake is my favorite state fair or festival treat! Our internet provider is terrible. After complaining and complaining this week, they did something technical and 118 emails popped into my inbox this morning. 118 dated from the 26th to today!  :o

Clynn, glad your car is finally going to be repaired and covered by the warranty. And no one ever carries parts anymore.  :-\
I thought the same thing about Mammoth mountain. How long would it take to melt all that snow! And to think winter is 71 days away for them.  I read your update on Karen early this evening, so relieved she and piper are okay. Sorry about her fence, no electricity, I pray everyone else is okay too...  Thank you for keeping in close contact with her.  :-*

Tsk, glad to hear Mike didn't get covid, and everyone is able to go to the wedding.

{{{SED Baz and Zippo}}} enjoy your ID snacks and be safe.

Eagles, what a gorgeous view you were able to enjoy! I can see the white fall.  ;D

Hi Eburg, Tig  :)

{{{Pauiie}}} glad to hear you're healing, but oh you must be sore.... gentle hugs and prayers.   :-*

Oldguy, Thanks for videos... loved Sound of Silence.

Lori, I absolutely love your video... the toddler getting whip cream squirted in his mouth and then he points to the dog! Oh so cute! And the trampoline buddies!! LOL!

Phyl, feel better soon.

Good night!

Thank you again for your ‘Get Well’ wishes/’cards’  for myself and Jim. We're doing  so much better today.  Yesterday, Jim saw Doc for annual--- got addt'l Rx.
As for me , I've  tough it out. But, I'm getting there.   :)
I've been keeping up with Idalia on FNC / Fox weather and reading comments here about  {{Karen/Bazi}}

Tsk- no chicken soup. But, chicken broth. ;)

Hi Tig-  really sounds like you/Camper had fun at the fair, too bad his foot is still a bother; sorry this is late---doing better, gotta cough though from drainage which has settled, will hang on and make me 'bark' LOL

Lani- cute Lab pup in duck one-piece jamies from Tues nite & pups from last night;  tks for the Royal update on Manaaki and his neighbors , enjoyed the videos; /this evening FNC had a spot from Lahaina town hall meeting---downright criminal what officials are trying to pull, doesn’t look like the old
historic district will be restored, etc from what I could gather

CLynn- tks for update on Karen; Rainbow Bridge Day I always think of  Niki, Tiger,  Samantha, Mitch and Mike  :'( :-*;  Hurrah on the warranty work for hatchback

Karen- relieved to read you/Piper are safe w/minimal damage
Ditto for you Bazi/Zippo- glad you're able to enjoy your  Idalia snacks

E4E Been to Lake Tahoe several times always a lovely day and great scenic ride there. Glad y'all were able to do that ---really enjoyed the photos, the drive just as I remembered; staying 'well' is a conscience effort IMHO

Lori- thanks for the short pet video, too cute

OG - tks for the FLA/  Idalia videos. FLA has an awesome governor ---so very much different than Maui now suffering major ‘land grab’.

BL tks for the weather radar

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, That is quite a backlog of email, in addition to all the other problems you have with your internet! Sounds like they need some training! And where did all that melted snow go at Mammoth Mountain? Just something I wondered...

Phyl, good to hear you are feeling a bit better and Jim has seen the Dr. I won't tell you to go, you would know if you needed to go!  It will get to 82 here today, then a long string of hot again. It sure helps to have a cooler day now and then! Thanks for Amy's Blog, I didn't realize eagles could fly that high!

tsk, what athletic shoes do you wear when you are running? Just kidding, I know you don't run...  ;D ;D

Lori, thanks so much for knowing how to post that sweet little video from karen!

E4E, great pictures of your mini-vacation! I'm afraid I would have to spend some time browsing some of the shops they have there!  https://tahoe.com/shopping?page=2

oldguy, love the Sounds of Silence video!

Paulie, sorry to hear about your fall, hope you are better soon...

Sydney Sea Eagles - The cam is down at the WBSE nest, a big storm passed through. They are working on it, should be fixed soon. This is one of the last pictures before the cam went down.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

Good Morning Beakers

clynn - Love the saying on the 3rd pic, and that paint job!  Hope the Sydney cam is fixed soon.

tsk - I flew into that airport the last time I went to Mom's.  It was alot cheaper to fly into Pensacola on Southwest, instead of Mobile on Delta.

Phyl - Glad to hear that you and Jim are on the mend.

Lani - The covering on the inside of the car for the sunroof, it rolls back when you open the panoramic sunroof and when he went to open it, it all bunched up and a metal wire stuck out.  The Ford/Lincoln dealership had to send it out to an upholstery place to have it repaired.   Mmmm, funnel cake, yummy!  I am glad that up received some of your emails for the past days that the internet was spotty.

oldguy - Thanks for the update on Idalia.  I don't know if it has contributed to our weather today, but it is 67° this morning and a lil breezy.  I turned off the AC, and opened the windows!

E4E - Beautiful pics from Tahoe!

An extended explanation Clynn of where the snow goes.  I've been in CA (?) times, Take PCH, if you ever have time, north to south borders! Pacific Coast Highway #1.  Views longer and prettier than The Cliffs of Moher.

I digress. . .Snow from Mammoth Mt. can go either east or west depending on slant of the peaks (topography).  Some lean east (destination LA), some lean west (SF).  But that's not the finite word.  Between the beginning and end are distractions (forks in the streams/rivers, dams, irrigation systems, aquaducts, land slides, etc.).  When I first heard about the path I thought it might be interesting to toss a rubber ducky in the spring melt at the top and see where it ends up?   ;D

I never even drove Rodeo Drive, much less used $$$$$$$ and time to shop in CA.  Oh wait, I did just stroll Santa Monica January this year while in CA for the Rose Bowl
festivities.  (Another side note:  I've now been there/done that for both ends of Route 66.  Santa Monica on the west and west (of Chicago) on the east (just a smidge from Darien.)  Many changes and "allowances" for exact points.

Ahhhhh, the memories :-*   Sorry you mentioned it?

Hi Eburg!

Paulie - So sorry for the fall you took - please take care and hope you heal up quickly and have a full recovery. {{Paulie}}

OG - Click on the Live Storms Media link - such devastation.   Liked Maru  :)  Liked Incanto Quartet singing The Song Of Silence.  Thanks for links  :)

Hi Lori & Destini  :)

Hi Puff!

Lani - Glad your internet provider finally did something and that you were able to receive 118 emails! ::)

BL - Thank you for weather radar / map.

Phyl - Happy to know that you & Jim are doing better - take care.  You are right - the scenic ride in/out of Tahoe is so beautiful - although there are plenty of burn scars from past fires.  Thank you for Amy's blog - so interesting about the height that E's can fly.

Tsk - Glad that you were able to see the snow melt in the pic - I know it is hard to see!

Clynn - Love your morning post - especially Four Things You Can't Recover!  Love the link you provided for Lake Tahoe!  We did do some shopping in So. Lake Tahoe (near where we stayed) and there were Lots of shops!  I just didn't have too much time, but did buy a few things including a T-shirt for our Grandson!

LisaG - Hope they are able to fix Jeff's panoramic sunroof so that it is as good as new!

Hi Kb!

Hi Tig!

Bazi & Karen - Hope you were okay and safe during Idalia and hoping today is better.

I began my day with heading out early for the clinical lab to have a blood panel taken and got back home before 7:30 - as I have my annual checkup next Thursday!         We are going over to my Mom's apt later so that Kris can hook up a tv.  The tv in Mom's bedroom went out, and we happen to have an extra tv that is like new and works perfectly.

All Beakers stay safe.

some maples are already turning red and orange in the Superior National Forest in Minnesota

thank God it's September 1 tomorrow...although our temps for the next 5 days will be well over our average now of 78....101 and 100 this weekend coming..

I noticed a very few yellow leaves from someone's nearby tree in my backyard today..for me, the most awful summer in decades...no rain and hot...

Not to be contrarian for contrarian's sake but I disliked the Sounds of Silence video...not OG's fault...to each their own...I Love Disturbed's version...oh and Ladies, put some clothes on please, LOL

Walked Ollie, dropped final grubex in front and watered in...reading in the outdoor porch before making home-made chili for later.

Hi Eagles4....I forgot to mention thanks for your pics..nice of you and Kris for dropping off a tv.
