Lani - I tell that to Jeff all the time...how can you love split pea soup and not like peas!  That is like someone who don't eat ketchup, but likes tomatoes!   ;D  Yea, at 8 weeks old they go to Animal Control.  I will be sad.  I do have people that keep saying, oh they are cute, I want one.  But, I as part of the foster to adopt, I have to give them to Animal Control for them, so they can adopt them out.

karen - Hope you got that bill straightened out.  Do you get a different HH worker every day?

Lisa, I've heard that even though they are weened that early, they should stay with the mom till at least 10 weeks for various development type reasons. I guess AC wants them as young as possible to be "too cute not to be adipted" by their visitors, but I hope they let them stay with Misty till they are 10 weeks old. Though I know that's more work for you and Jeff, and I don't know if they would approve that 2 extra weeks if you asked them. They are so sweet, and you and Jeff have been the best foster parents!!  :) :-* :-*

Karen, yay, I see your HH aide did some housecleaning!

LOL, I didn't realize I had another page of posts still to read after my "Waving" post! LOLOL!

Clynn, I'm so sorry about Steve's health issues. One of my uncles (actually my aunt's husband), started doing some things like that, and it turned out to be Parkinson's. Of course dementia often comes along with that illness later on, also. I know Cathy must be worried. It's hard. Oh, I saw you were saying something similar about kitten ages for separation from their mother. I know Erin is a pro at computer stuff, but I could swear I remember the owner of the great computer repair company I use telling me one time when I took one of my PCs in for some work, that if I didn't remember my PC's boot password, that she could get it, but it would save her the work if I had it for her. Which I did. So I never put her to the test. But she is about as smart at that stuff as anyone I have ever known, so I'm wondering if there may be a technical "back door" to that inside Kay's computer after all. I may have misunderstood her, since I know Erin is so knowledgeable about those things, but it might not hurt for you to call a trusted and recommeded local computer repair shop and just put the question to their guru of gurus. LOL.  I imagine they would require POA papers and the "okay" from that Power of Attorney person (Debbie, maybe?), even if they tell you they can get you the password. Just a thought... The fern peony is pretty. I've never heard of it.

Okay, Beakers, I think I am caught up. LOL! Gotta go...  ;) :D

From my experience with my sisters computers...

If it is Windows 10;
If security questions were setup, it is possible if you know the answers to the questions - otherwise you can only get in if the computer is reset to new status with all non windows files deleted.  This only works on the later versions of Windows10.

Older versions;

Windows 7 - some versions had a hidden administrator account which isn’t visible in normal use.  Most users never changed the default password for Admin, but if it was changed, out of luck.
Note: this method may not work if the account has been disabled, which it is by default in some Windows 7 installations.

Windows 8 - no way without a reinstall of Windows.
SE Iowa - Grew up within 40 miles of Decorah

LISA  Awww  Now they will have personalities. And look at those daggers on its toes  :o :o   Agree with CLYNN  but another thing I learned from Tim's cousin Kim who fosters all the time is that you need to handle them a lot so get they used to human touch.  Can't think of the term for that.

CLYNN   Awww  what a sweet comment from Kelsey about Kay  :'(      I've got to look up that Fern Peony - very cool looking

TIG   I don't remember so much wind in recent years.  Very blustery today.

OLDGUY   You are a such help in all matters re: computers   :-* and many other things as well.  :D

Tsk - Oh, believe me…I am touching and picking them up all the time.  Misty puts her arm over them sometimes cause I think she thinks I am going to take one.  I have to tell her…I’m not taking your babies…I’m just holding it.  Like, she knows what I am saying.  ;D

Clynn - You know I never mind the advice from Beakers.  You all give good information!

Baz and all - I am going to ask the AC girl again when I go back up and get more food about how old they have to be when I bring them there.  I am pretty sure she said 8 weeks, but what is a couple more weeks.

Have a good night, everyone!

The only thing I know about getting info from a computer or maybe a phone comes from reading true crime relorts in the pc or heaing the. Discussed on tv.  Police have a hard time convincing the carrier to give them what they want.  Apple m android of what ever, I do not know.  Personall, I have a note book with all rhat stuff written in it!  Mickey did it.  I would suggest everyone do this,  i have a friend who’s husband died and she and an attorney/judge friend of ours could get in,   This was an apple. They  scrapped it!  Every one should get a list made.

Lisa, I agree, your ac is wrong about when to separate kitties and their momma.  They would have more successful adoptions if they allowed mama kitty to keep the babies 10 to 12 weeks.  General rule of thumb for puppies! I will be glad to voice my opinion!  Lol.  Other rules are do not adopt black kitties or cats close to .halloween and post names like licorice.

Had to go back and reread

I do not know how many cate giversI have. 2 so far and perhaps one more.   If you  combined the two i have had you would have a good employee. They both make me nervous driving my car!

Clynn, I've never seen a Fern Peony, it's gorgeous. The leaves look soft.... precious comment from Kelsey  :'(

Lisa, precious kitten  :-* 8 weeks seems to young to leave mama. I see your comment to others, asking for another two weeks won't hurt.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

Good Morning ...

48F  with a   High 67F  possible snow they say. And, Low 45F  clear.

BL thanks for Gordon's Early Morning Rain

LisaGosh! such a heart tugging photo of a kitten.   I think everyone here is in total agreement---the kittens need more time w/mama. I suspect another 8 wks. Stemming from my Maggie,
who with her littermates were taken before weaning. So glad you are talking  to them

Karen
so glad the HH worker is doing some chores , take care. That's the peanut jar used in the wooden dispenser. The birds hop inside and grab the shelled peanuts .

Clynn kelsey's comment about Kay---so sweet; very unusaly peonies; That's why the squirrel was in the jar alright---hungry. We're having 3  nowadays and the fighting is frightful. LOL  You and Dianna got alot done.  The cannned goods wiould be welcomed by shelters---that's what I did with mom's pantry

Hi Bazi waving back

OG that's the way my Win10 was

HI Tsk your temps gettingh warmer

Lani really enjoyed the catcus; nuts about peas and split pea soup esp with ham

Well, I guess I'm upto date.  Who knows   :P

Clynn great snap of  Pilliated Woodpecker. And  tks for nests updates, Norwich Peregrine Falcon and Boulder County Fairgrounds Osprey (eggs are pretty speckled); and picture of Karen's house looks so neat and pretty
