I'm taking a break after trying to get Ollie's coat on him to take him for a walk...he's resting too now after tons of zoomies and pulling out of his jacket.....
I'll show him!.. ;) ;)

Eventually i believe we will make it out the door....I'm just letting him calm down and behave.
It's been way too long since our last walk.

Was going to post this earlier so now will to revive my endearment for dogs...titled "Dogs are the best"

well, I gave up eventually, and walked Ollie sans coat.
It's only 27 degrees, he likes to walk the piles of snow along the curb line...and he only has one coat of fur, not two.

I guess he knows it's supposed to be spring like....well, Ollie maybe next week....and when that comes the coat acts as a mud barrier.

Don't know what to make of his sudden distaste for his coat..? but, we made it home just fine.
Although the wind blowing off the snow banks drew tears out of my eyes the whole way.

tsk - yup...

Miller Hill Mall's roof collapsed this morning in Duluth..
Applebee's and other stores were below.....
Roof collapsed before opening so no one was hurt.

Too much snow.

Happy Day, Beakers!

Lani, I saw today that Alabama got the overall #1 seed. I need to print the Tourney bracket. I think Florida-Atlantic is shaping up to be a short-term Cinderella team. Last week I saw a cute news piece (on "60 Minutes," maybe? ) on Sister Jean, at Loyola - she was all the buzz, you recall, at one of the recent past NCAA Tourneys. The video was of her in the men's locker room with the team, huddled for a pre-game prayer. She told the reporter she prays for both teams before a game, but she doesn't pray as hard for the other team. LOLOLOL! She is such a hoot!!! She's 103 years old! and her memoir just recently was published, titled, "Wake Up with Purpose: What I've Learned in My First Hundred Years." I love that title!  Here's a good recent article on her, and her book:
https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/103-sister-jean-publishes-memoir-faith-basketball-97252102 Excellent article - she is spectacular!

Tsk, I hope you're a little better each and every day.  You might enjoy that article I just put in my post to Lani just above... about Sister Jean, at Loyola, Chicago. Also, her new memoir might make for a good read while you are recuperating.

Lisa, it sounds like Bandit and Misty are working it out. We are windy here - that nor'easter is from a coastal low that formed off my coast - but nowhere as windy as your area and north. Heard it may go through that very rapid intensification, called explosive cyclogenesis, aka bombogenesis, aka bomb cyclone. I've watched the news and vids of the wind, snow, and coastal flooding so far from it today. I thought you and Jeff may not be crossing that bridge for a couple days!
https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/bombogenesis.html

((Lori)), I hope you and your father are well soon. Take care, and feel better and better.

Waving to All the Beakers!

Hi Bazi... back at you.

Great article on Sister Jean's book. Awesome lady,  in or out of 'the habit'.

{{Lori}} get well prayers continue---Maggie/ I  hope Destini remains well.  ;)
Mags had CoVid last year right before Jim and I came down with 'it'.  I was surprized with her advance years, she  survived---just slept for 3 days only drank water. Then poof! Back her 'ol self.

Lani - Thanks  :)  She pulls out all of his toys, and he just looks at her like, I don't play with toys..they stay under the condo.   ::)  Thanks for the Royal update!

oldguy - Thanks for the info on Aldi and Trader Joe's.  Do you know if Lidl's is owned by them too?  That is a grocery store that is similar.

kb - Sound like the coat ordeal was too much for both you and Ollie.  I do hope you all get your walk in. Oops, as I read on, you ditched the coat!  ;D Yikes, on the roof collapse at mall.

tig - Apple maple pecan pie sounds delicious!  Good catch on spying the BE nest.

baz - It is NOT a good hair day here, today.  Jeff is on his way home now from work.  I had heard the same thing about the bombogenesis.

Phyl - What kind of pie are ya making?

Lisa - Lidl is owned by a German  corporation called Swartz Group - They have no connections to Aldi.  The similarity comes from Germany, where most grocery stores are smaller - land is very expensive, so square footage makes a big difference in profits.  They only carry products that sell well.  You will only find 1 or 2 different sizes of containers, opposed to major US grocery stores that carry several sizes of the same product.
