Good Morning Beakers!

The snow yesterday was a fizzle, all the weather folks were off. We got a few inches, maybe 2.5" but it was just above freezing and it melted off all the roads and sidewalks fairly soon. A few more flakes later but also gone quickly. And they were saying 5-8".  High today 38.

Lisa, I am enjoying a cup of joy right now! Isn't it fun to gather all the things you need to be a Grandma? HM is doing a wonderful job, I can't wait to see the little ones! It's been too long in Decorah!

BL, I can't watch that dude, he makes me crazy...

Lani, love your good night picture...you always find good ones! Happy to hear that you found some help for the outside work, something you don't need to be doing any more. I have Erin for some things, like mowing and snow removal and I know I am lucky for that! I hired a guy last fall to get the leaves and generally clean up the yard, neighbors recommended him. He was a disappointment and never came back to finish the job. Oh I love the best friends grow old together tweet... so sweet...

Phyl, love that good night pic, I looked up the artist, she has many lovely prints! I remember watching the Dale Hollow nest many years ago, I think we were all so enthralled with the eagles we watched every nest that came up! Then there just got to be so many... There weren't very many nest cams when Decorah started the trend in 2011. And good morning! Cute leprechaun!

SWFL Eagles - Katie Bonner - I'm sitting here watching M feed these babies. And I realize why The Bald Eagle is our country's emblem.   This little family are strong willed survivors. They've been through so much losing their matriarch, fighting off intruders, some days not eating much at all. And they just won't give up. Sorry if this is cheesy. I can get sentimental sometimes. We should all learn a lesson from these majestic birds of prey. Even when life is hard keep pushing. I'm thankful for this group a lot. I have a lot happening in my personal life and get depressed and this group and the eagles make me happy. Love u guys.

Do You Remember? - Ron Howard wedding 1975. Henry Winkler is Best Man.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

Hi  Clynn your other AM greeting looks a bit like Cyndi Lauper.  Just luv her.    Yes. I remember that wedding photo of  Ron Howard and Winkler as his best. Old men now---aren't we all---old.This gal is still young in spirit anyway.

BL - thanks for the graphs....yup, in my lifetime I haven't experienced this much snow....as I thought.
The year I was born, yes, but we ain't done yet.
Just got a couple more last night and more to come Sat/Sunday....
Mother Nature only knows what our final totals will be.

Out to shovel now, once again....

bounce

I think we only got about a half inch that didn't melt. Will get lots more tomorrow night. I'm saving myself for the Sunday shovel. LOL.

Just back from the pool and a quick clean of the walk. I made white chicken chili again yesterday. I add stuff to the recipe: tumeric, garlic, curry, (more) cumin, thyme. I doled a portion for Bro who will be clearing our driveway today and (hopefully) Sunday.

A gentleman from the pool takes tumeric twice daily. He swears by it... as an anti-inflammatory.
