Good Morning Beakers!

47 right now, high 49. Rain.

Phyl, awww, both of our Decorah Moms before dawn...both with treasures beneath them...  Cute video of the eagles working on the nest, I have never een an eagle's nest with no cover overhead! Reminds me of an osprey nest. Those dogs! Fark! And the dog sticking out his tongue through the knot hole.  ;D

BL, sounds like you and Pip had a wonderful birthday celebration!

Lani, I bet Dewey was glad to see Aly! And you are getting a little more snow than expected, would love to see your beautiful forest covered in snow!

Lori, all those sweet baby critters... :-*

E4E, I think you should spend as much time as you can with your grand kids, so glad to hear that it was good times! They will be grown up too soon. 10 years ago seems like last week. And they will be grown before you know it and busy with their own lives...

Sue Bruhling - Good morning! from E21 & E22!
I went into check on the Kiddos, and this is what I found!! They were hanging out waiting for Breakfish. All of a sudden, an Eagle flew in, I think it was Mighty M and did a Fish Drop!! E22 actually got the fish first and mantled a bit but then he walked away from the fish and both E221 & E22 just continued to squeee and squeee! and in a minute or so Mighty M flew off!
So now they must self-feed. But Mighty M made it to the nest without R23/Godzilla following him and fighting for the fish, risking the kiddos getting hurt. I think Mighty M knows exactly what he is doing and he is doing it well! Praying for this Eagle Family ❤

HI BEAKERS

Pouring since about 4 AM.  Thunder and lightening as well mixed in. 43 heading to 57 with heavy rains ending in a couple hours.  It is spring??

T40   Pretty rare phenomena. All factors must line up  :o

OLDGUY   Looks like a bit of a card slump for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz95y3gLNA4&ab_channel=TurangaLeela
Fascinating piece on the Carolina wren  :)  Quite the nest builders.

EAGLES   What a fun day with your grandson.  I forget - how old is he?  WOW  a trip to Hawaii.  which island?  have you been before?

BL   Fun b-day weekend  ;D  " flutist audio" WOW

LANI    LOLOL  " Lori's ark"  Good one   Sounds like a very positive trip for Aly.  How long does she have to decide?  I see you answered EAGLES.  That move will be a big project but she has a bit of time to get it all coordinated.

PHYL  Dog nose and tongue  :)    ABC should have found a "wonky stick" video with at least a minute of trying to place it perfectly  LOL

CLYNN  thanks for Sue's report.

LISA   What a gorgeous gown.  The hem is beautiful.  A click enlarged it - Were the flowers embroidered?    thanks for that view.

A cat was saved from under the rubble in Turkey. It now refuses to leave its rescuer's side.

Adorable.....the rescuer as well, ;)

Been freezing rain/ice since around 4am...going till 1pm

So happy I spent over 2 hours yesterday removing over a foot of snow off my lower deck..
I have 8 feet piles and no where else to throw it....it just slides right back down so am throwing the snow on top of my jacuzzi now. I used my electric snow pup...almost useless in that much snow but did help some.

Took an almost 2 hour nap after that one...

tsk - not spring here that's for sure....Spring will probably arrive sometime in May for us this year.

That freezing rain would have turned all that snow hard..

Good Morning Beakers

It was a wet night here - 1.8 in. of rain so far - looks like another 1-2 hrs of light rain to go.  45 now and heading for 53 - had lots of lightning when it started just after midnight.

BL - Perfect birthday weekend for you & Pip! 8)

Tig - Thank you for the pm  :)

Tsk - Our Grandson is 12 - he will be 13 this summer.  I seem to recall that you have a nephew a year younger?

Lani - Like all the cute animal pics!  Glad Aly is home safe & sound - sounds like it could be a great opportunity, but I'm sure Aly will make a good decision for herself.

Phyl - Cute 'shames' for a Monday morning  ;D  Liked the new clip vid  :)  Love the Decorah pics.

Puff - Lol!  Getting that 'log' into the right place  ;D

Clynn - Yes, I agree with you about spending as much time as possible with our Grandson - we appreciate all the quality time that we can ever get with him! :-*   Love your fox pic!  Thanks for posting Sue Bruhling - I had the SWFL cam up for a bit yesterday!

LisaG - Lovely Christening gown - "thank you" to your Mom for the picture  :)

Kb - Awe, that is a sweet kitty - thank you for the vid - sure hope the kitty and its rescuer can somehow stay together.   You definitely deserved a good nap after working so hard at removing snow.  Hopefully you don't overdo yourself - you are a determined worker!

Lori - Love your congrats to Bradley & Kelly!  How are you doing?

For those that asked, we are leaving this Saturday for a week in Kauai. 8)   We went to Maui back in 2007.

I have an appt with my hairdresser this morning.  :)

Beakers have a nice day.

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Blschue, Lilbro, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, Karen, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, and All!

Phyl, I was very interested in the ABC News eagle video. The nest has a nice size bowl, bigger than other nests. I looked up Shepherdstown, WV. where the nest tree is located.
AE Bella and Smitty are parents of one egg at this time.
EAGLECAM - NATIONAL CONSERVATION TRAINING CENTER.
https://www.outdoorchannel.com/live/eaglecam/326707/0

The eagle nest is located approximately 75 miles from Washington, D.C. on the campus of The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services' National Conservation Training Center. The campus is in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, approximately 1/4 mile from the Potomac River. https://www.fws.gov/media/nctc-eagle-nest-location

Clynn, sweet Fox family... thank you for SWFL update. Bless Dad M15 he's doing fantastic job of avoiding Godzilla and getting that food to the eaglets. And E22 is learning to fight for his food, to self-feed. Because dad only has enough time to feed one eaglet before Godzilla sweeps in.
Update posted above cam: 10;25am M to nest with UFO - red meat, E22 grabs, E21 watches. M goes to squirrel, starts feeding E21. 10:29am E22 finishes, goes to M and E21, steals part of squirrel. 10:30am M leaves nest goes to attic. 10:32am M flies to the east. 24 minutes ago.

Lisa,
Beautiful Christening gown. The embroidery work on neck, sleeves and hem is stunning. A precious treasure for your family.

{{{Hugs Tsk}}}  :-*

Kb, precious cat and rescuer video. I pray he took the cat home.

Lori, lovely post for Lisa and family.

Oldguy, I held my breath when the cats were exploring the Hina doll display. I haven't seen Hina dolls since leaving Hawaii. My stepfather brought my mother a couple of dolls when returning from his naval tour at Japan.

Eagles, You will love Kauai! I hope the weather is nice for you. My niece with her partner and baby live on Kauai.

tsk - I wanted to tell you, I bought the window cloths you mentioned the other day.  They work fantastic!  Is it still raining??

kb - Aww, so glad the kitty was rescued.  I hope you are taking it easy with your snow removal.

Lori - Thank you, and love the post.  :-*

oldguy - That is quite a bit of rain.

E4E - Enjoy your week in Kauai!

Lani - Wow, that is some nest!  Aww, sweet pup!

Thank you all for the kind words on the Christening gown.  :D

BAZI  Tell that to the bishop  LOL  Tongue in cheek?

Tsk, LOL! I would gladly tell the bishop... with tongue in cheek, yes!  ;) :D

Clynn, NBC National News last night featured a video clip of Jackie in her snowy Big Bear nest!!  :-*  Or, it might have been on the ABC National News last night. LOL, now I can't remember which one. But there was Jackie, and they said her Eagle name, and referred to the Big Bear nest site - talking about how snowy it was there, and for the Eagles.

Hello Beakers

It has been a sunny and warm day here - high of 56  :o  our peak wind gust was only 10mph this afternoon - I see that everything from the Rockys East to W. Vir. /Kent./Tenn./Ga and south of the Iowa Mo. border is under a wind advisory.  Rain to get here about midnight and stay in the low 40s.

All About the Fun and Curious Nesting Behavior of Carolina Wrens   -   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gad__sN7ZSw

Cards were almost good last night, just not good enough - 0 of 2 - but both were close games.

OldGuy, sorry about the score, but sounds like a competitve couple of card games, so hopefully it was lots of fun! I followed the severe weather storm line last night... awful damage in Oklahoma, especially in the Norman area... and I saw tornado warnings for Indiana this morning, so that storm line was still actively severe at that time... such a big area affected. I hope it loses its oomph soon. Prayers for all in the path of the storms. Thanks for the video of the Carolina Wren. Excellent! The Carolina Wren is my all-time favorite little songbird!  :-*  :-*  As I like to say, they are small, but mighty!  ;) :D  And so fun to watch! I love watching my Wrenny Wren, the Carolina Wren, but I haven't seen him recently. I hope he hangs out nearby me again soon.  Hope you get some good weather this week!!  :)
