Lisa/Tsk so during Lent we can eat a gator.
I searched 'What does alligator taste like?"
https://www.bing.com/search?q=what+does+alligator+taste+like&qs=AS&pq=what+does+alliga&sc=10-16&cvid=13EFF44F3A5C4B0BAA4A73279FE86F1F&FORM=CHRDEF&sp=1&lq=0

The very first result was 'chicken'. Saying that the meat
taste alot like chicken. Then second was quail.

Then I got to thnking and asked' Is alligator classified as amphibian or reptile/"
https://www.bing.com/search?q=alligator+is+a+reptile+or+amphibian&PC=U316&FORM=CHROMN

Then I took a another step farther and asked  "Are reptiles considered fish?"
https://www.bing.com/search?q=are+fish+reptiles+or+amphibians&qs=SSA&pq=%22are+reptiles+considered+fish%3f%22&sk=RI1SSA4&sc=10-31&cvid=98A15D9586BF4EA4B80F83BE179EBCE7&FORM=QBRE&sp=6&lq=0

Nah! I'm gonna pass on the entire 'gator' issue as it's not really fish.

Okay. Now that buring issue  is settled...LOL

Clynn, uplifting post about SWFL eaglets. Bless M15, working hard to feed his eaglets.... Swampy  :o ... fun Caturday pics.... Safe travels for Becky and Jennifer trying to get around the mountains. Looks like they want to avoid Colorado. They have beautiful roads to travel.

Tsk, Lisa, Phyl yep, I read the article about alligators.  "Alligator is permissible to eat on Fridays of Lent, the archbishop of New Orleans assured a conscientious parishioner, and his approval has been backed by the national bishops' conference."  I'm not planning on changing my trout or salmon on Friday for gator  :-\

Phyl, cute Caturday pics

Good night!

Great remembrance/reminder of origins of the Y Nest.  My fascination started there 2011 after viewing PBS Special re RRP and Decorah.  We've come a long way baby! What a fantastic journey it has been.  I, I should say we, have formed a group and found a new reason to enjoy this world.

47 F  wind advisory .  High of  57 F scattered rain showers .  Evening/night  54F and .

Ladies, Tsk, Lisa and Lani,
Gotta be nutz...I'm not eating a reptile as a substitute for meat  or fish on Lenten Fridays or anytime.  I follow the science. And, God  doesn't classify reptiles as 'fish'.   I'm never giving up, shrimp, crab, lobster, salmon, perch, catfish. As  I  stated yesterday .  For me, end of story.  :)

Hi Lilbro

Hi Karen, Pink, bbgolden and Nrstooge

{{Tsk}} hope your're feeling better

Lani tks for update  Fantastic news for the hatchrey nest in Decorah, egglet for HM and HD

Lisa my nails aren't painted. These are acrylic French manicure. I  got tired of keeping them short, short and painted---too much to do myself. LOL

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, OMG, finally an egg at N1! I kept wanting to tell HM to get back on that egg! And she did! 11 years...that's when we were all much younger, it will be so much fun to have the camera views that we all loved!

Phyl, what a lovely picture of HM this morning! And we now know there is an egg under her... There's that little falcon box getting sunshine on the side of the cliff! Well, aligator meat is on my never list...  ::) Cute goodnight pic, I can relate!

Lisa, I haven't had nail polish on for years!  I have never had them done in a salon!  Catfish, crab and shrimp, yum! I would take over aligator too. Earlier in my career I made several trips to Frederick MD and ate at a wonderful restaurant downtown. I found that I do prefer the crabcakes without pieces of shell!

tsk, I found the nest history!

Decorah Eaglets and Outcomes
2022   N3 failed.
2021   N3   3 – D37, D38, D39   All three eaglets fledged successfully.
2020   N2B   3 – D34, D35, D36   All three eaglets fledged successfully. We are following D35 and D36 via satellite.
2019   N2B   2 – D32, D33           Both eaglets abandoned the nest earlyfollowing an intense blackfly swarm. Both were cared for at SOAR and have since been released.
2018   N2B   3 – D29, D30, D31   All fledged.
2017   N2B   3 – D26, D27, D28   All fledged. We are following D27 via satellite.
2016   N2B   2 – D24, D25, D25     was struck by a car and died. We are following D24 via satellite.
2015   N2   3 – D21, D22, D23   All fledged
2014   N2   3 – D20, D19, D18   All fledged. D18 and D19 were electrocuted.  D20 is still alive and living at SOAR.
2013   N2   3 – D17, D16, D15   All fledged
2012   N1   3 – D14, D13, D12   All fledged. D12 and D14 were electrocuted.
2011   N1   3 – E1, E2, E3   All fledged. We last saw D1 in July of 2014. Her current status is unknown
2010   N1   3 – Not named   All fledged
2009   N1   3 – Not named   All fledged
2008   N1   2 – Not named

Southwest Florida Eagle Cam
Rogue Eagle #3 (abbreviated to R23-3) has been around this week and today (yesterday) landed in the nest to snack on a fish M delivered. And to everyone’s surprise, offered bites to E21! It wasn’t perfect and had some heated moments but very cool to see. Note: E22 got a private feeding by Dad hours later. All crops were full! ☺️

HD on watch, HM on the egg!

Bounce
Way to go Decorah! Ah... Memories...
I had kind of a rough night trying to get used to my new mouth guard. If I have energy later I'll walk across the street and shovel out the fire hydrant.
