PUFF   Beautiful story about "Rita". Your description was perfect.  Glad the link worked.  Have a good visit with your friend.

LISA  Hope you can listen to a good book in the round trip 3 1/2 hr+ car ride today  :o

TIG   Great story about Indy - spooky..

LANI   turtle  ;D

KB   Funny you should mention plumber.  After dinner last night the garbage disposal died - water pouring under sink on to floor - after Tim noticed disposal backing up.  sigh  Plumber here at 8:45 AM  our time was scheduled for 10 to 12 AM  LOL  Good thing Tim was up and ready - I was not here.

Good Afternoon Beakers

kb - Beautiful hawk.  I have not heard of that sensor.  I have State Farm, and may inquire.  My house is 51 years old.

Phyl - Love the TV Guide cover from the 80's.  Thanks for the 365.  Thanks for the links on Christmas.

Lani - I saw Sydney for a few minutes, and she was whisked off to the room to feed.  But, not before she looked at me and cried when I talked to her.  I told her...I am not a bad person, stop crying when I come over to visit.   :-[

tig - That sounds like a nice healthy breakfast.

Puff - Very nice story about Rita.

clynn - Got a email this morning saying coat was to be arriving FedEx, and just checked, it is delayed in WV!   ::)  I am crossing my fingers I get the refund back for the first one I ordered.

tsk - Beautiful morning pic!

Waving to All the Beakers!  Happy Day, All!  :)

Clynn, I kove the Kinder Than Man! The key IS under the door mat!  Do you mind grabbing that for me, please?   ;) ;D  You mentioned Lori's post of a red cardinal and treat for Oma, but I can't find that post from Lori - where did she post it? Someone else mentioned it, also, but I can't find it. Help?!?

Lani, I love the Turtlw Santa!  :D  Your house is going to be a busy place - the fun kind of busy! Yay!  :) Did I get it backwards about Sadie and Dewey?  I was thinking Sadie didn't like having Dewey around, but maybe it's the other way around? Seems you had to keep them in separate rooms before to keep the peace? I hope Mike gets his injection before that trip before Christmas... fingers crossed.

Karen, yay! See that doc in a year!  :D

Lisa, hope the ENT appt goes well - hope your ears aren't bothering you again. "Run to Bradley's" - ? the new or old place?  That trip would be longer than a "run to" for me, LOL!  Safe travels.  :)  Oh, I see your new post - you've already been there!  Aww, not enough Sydney time! Next visit will be more Sydney time!  :-*

Tig, as Lani mentioned, I don't know John Gary either, but that song is nice, and his voice is so smoooth.

E4E, LOL, you might have plugged in to my unconscious mind re. walking faster when it's colder!  ;) ;D ;D

TSK, love that pic in your morning post!  Hope you and Tim are getting some time to relax today, and letting Lulu take turns warming your laps.  :)  Oh, I just saw your post about the disposal.  :o   Sheese... it's always something!  ::)  Okay, it's definitely time to for that relaxing/cat-in-lap time!

Later, gators!  :)

The video embedded is incredible.
this literally makes me cry: Both fisherman and the dog were saved. But ice fishing in Nowthen, MN when ice isn't safe, ugg.
A Sheriffs deputy went out without enough rope but they found extra rope to get them as they were hypothermic in advance of the fireman yet to get there.
You can here the woman say: "I don't like this" repeatedly.

Scott's brother lived in Nowthen, MN...We visited frequently.

LISA   But didn't you also hold her and she fell asleep in your arms the other day?  I'm sure she cried cuz she was hungry.
Oh I didn't realize it was the old place today.

BAZI   Aww sweet bunny in that beautiful coat.  I think Oma's b-day is the 19th?

KB   Very heroic rescue.  Thank you to the brave officer.

Hope this works, Phyl

My Hallmark treasure from 2021 wasn't really an ornament.  It is a musical animated thrill.  My Ton would hit the button whenever he walked by it.  Again it was presented to me as I checked out of Hallmark with my own purchases.  (The store is evil!)  The clerk asked my name and presented me a paper bag "from Rita".

Rita and I had met for the first and only time that day.  We had a fun and interesting talk of at least 1/2 an hour, no it had to be longer than that.  Talked of Disney, families, love of the season and all its traditions, etc.  We hit on so many things.  Gave her my business card which had all my contact info.  She never contacted me in any way.  All I knew was she had a great attitude and pleasant personality.  Noone at the store had any info they could share.  Every time I shop I have to rue the fact that such a lovely person is still a secret Santa for me.  BTW, my deceased sister's name is Rita,  she had passed away spring of that year.  I truly believe Rita was an angel sent to me.

Let me describe my toy:  music box plays throughout the antics:  Santa goes up and down in the chimney, reindeer goes up the side of the roof, there's a rabbit that hops back and forth the front of the house, the door opens and closes displaying a girl and boy gingerbread who say Merry Christmas, across the to of the doors there is a cat and dog chasing each other around and back thru the top of the house.  All the time, even without the button/activator, the gingerbread house is ornately flashing its strings of colored lights while the "voice" sends Christmas greetings.  A bit more involved than an ornament?

If the below doesn't work I'll try something else later.  I should be getting ready for a visit from a friend.  I'll check things out later.

Hi there!
Got an excellent report from hematologist on CBC! Platelets are a 240k pml ! A solid normal!!!
Remission is holding very well. Almost 5 yrs now.
This is so  wonderful after the rocky, edge of the seat
testings, surgery - spleenectomy; blood transfusions, steriod meds, weekly venipunctures and CBCs and on and on and on  for the previous decade.

Lots of festive greetings from everyone today.  Your Christmas bunny,   too . Bazi. :)  ;)

KB glad your utility faucet is repaired  and no more dripping' Very nice Cooper's Hawk. Not familiar with that sensor but agree be a good idea for anyone; tks for the FNC video, so relieved man and dog were saved. Such a brave officer, too.

Tig wonderful memory of your mom---sorry I missed it earlier

Tsk oh yuck! The disposal---so glad it's fixed.

Lisa perhaps next time you visit Sydney it will be better---she could have been both tired and hungry ( as Tsk said)

Woke up this AM to a brand new Google Chrome! That's was a surprize.  :o

KB - I can not find any detailed 3rd party info on the Ting Sensor.  However the user agreement is one of the most detailed and long UAs that I have ever read.
https://www.tingfire.com/ting-terms-of-service/

Some info I did find...
Ting does not forward your data to the insurance company, but does submit general reports to them.
The service charges an annual subscription fee - that is paid by the insurance company for the specified time, after which you can take over the payments or return the equipment.
Ting prefers to use one of their service companies to respond to fault reports, but you can request one of your choice and Ting will contact them to verify them on qualifications, license and insurance.
Ting, from their description, is using AFCI technology - to sense if electricity is leaking from the electric system.

AFCI breakers are a relative new feature in homes - they were required by code starting in 1999.  They are not required in any home built before that date, but if any major electrical work is done, it is encouraged to be added.

Ting is not a circuit breaker, it is using the technology to catch a problem early and report it to you for remediation, before an AFCI breaker will trip.  How well the system works is an unknown  - reviews are mixed.

Hope this is helpful for those interested.

Puff, lovely memory about Rita.

Phyl, stunning views on the nature video.... good report for you, sleep well tonight.

Kb, beautiful Hawk ... I've never heard of Ting.... great rescue of two fisherman and dog.

Baz, love your Christmas bunny.... Our daughter Shannon's dog Kona doesn't like other dogs. When she comes to visit on New Year Eve or the 4th of July, she brings her dog, we keep Kona downstairs. And there's a gate to keep the dogs separated. Sadie and Dewey are best buddies.... Oma's birthday is on the 19th, everyday is a good day to celebrate a birthday. I love mine.  ;D

Lisa, Little Sydney was probably just tired and hungry, and it's not you.  :-* , and she probably senses the changes in family routine... I use Audible for my book listening on long rides or working around the house.

SED Eagles   :-*

Oldguy, thanks for info

Karen, I know how you feel about filling out forms online. ugh! sleep well.

Happy Thursday Everyone !

Currently 34Fand clear,   High  63F sunny,  Low 28 F

Oldguy thanks for the low-down on 'Ting' . Never have had our insurer mention this to it's policyholders.

KarenI don't mind online forms. But, I prefer paper forms ---I know my bank is all about 'e' this and 'e' that.  ::)  You're with Farmers Ins Group?  I use to be an agent for them in 1980s.
I saw my PCP yesterday for the laceration on my nose as Dermabond has completely peeled off. This was on par. She said it looked great and just cover it in the shower.
Nothing needed otherwise.

As for the EENT,  my appointment is for next Wednesday,  Dec. 20th in the mid -afternoon.  He has two offices on in Brentwood and the other on 20th Ave., North in
Nashville. I'll see him at his Nashville practice.
Yesterday pm  I just recieved some forms  in the mail to complete and bring with me . This MD is also a surgeon. I m hoping somehow he will give me
the green light  to  live normally with my nose .  LOL

Prayers for:   Our friend and ally the Nation of Israel and peace for her people. All abandoned, abused  cats and feral cats; Linda and Ian, My  Alter prayer list
The Bluebirds of Cane Ridge, Tennessee, Hummingbirds, Bumble Bees  and Honey bees everywhere . The Beakroom and Cheers.
