Happy Wednesday Everyone !

Currently 33F   High  49F  mostly sunny,  Low 30 F  clear skies.

Some confusion on docs- today is hematologist  blood work CBC to check platelet count for ITP.  Then right after I see my PCP for another followup on  nasal laceration.

Hi Puff

BL/Emy thanks for the tunes, like guitar

Lori lovely birthday greeting for Oma the cake  :o

Tig bad time of year for the 'porch pirates', The moment a package is delivered I'm out the garage and hauling them in there until Jim gets home.

Lisa that's a shame about the order, hopefully it will get fixed in time for Christmas giving--- On my end... Got a message from Macy's on Jim's slacks which are shipping .But they are sending two pair of the same color---I didn't order that--just one of each color. They did get his sweaters correct.

Finally found a new feeding system for Maggie as she needed a new set up since the old one had been around from  Mike's kittenhood. I hope she likes this one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CB9QMZFH/ref=pe_386300_440135490_TE_simp_item_image?th=1
'Cuz it isn't going back.
Finally I'm finished. Now , it all has to get here .  Family members are getting 'gift cards'. Jim has so many that they draw names. His kids always draw for us which is fine as we're not in Joplin. We always get some one different.  :)  Dan and Susan will get 'gift cards'  as well.

Prayers for:   Our friend and ally the Nation of Israel and peace for her people. All abandoned, abused  cats and feral cats; Linda and Ian, My  Alter prayer list

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, 29 here, 43 for the high today. You have a busy schedule today, hoping all goes well! I like the new bowls for Maggie. Harley eats out of stainless steel dishes, I set the food dish on top of a large tuna can... Interesting info on the historical events at Christmas. I never knew that the confederacy all received pardons from the government!  I am waiting on a couple more orders to arrive as well, I need them by Saturday! We are having our Christmas with Erin's on Sunday.

BL/Emy/tig/oldguy ditto what Phyl said! Good music! Listening as I post...

Lori, love the beautiful female cardinal and luscious cake for Oma (Sawyer?). A Mod?

Lani, when is it that Aly is coming home (I can't remember!) I bet everything will be perfect when she arrives, and of course, Shannon will be there for Christmas as well! Does Mike still have some cozy burgers in the freezer?

Lisa, hope you get Jeff's present in time! A few years back I had ordered Ed a jacket from Land's End. It didn't come, and didn't come and they didn't reply to my first email inquiry, so I sent another about not getting the item and no correspondence. The jacket was here in 2 days, and when I went to pay the credit card there was a credit for the entire amount ($132)! Land's End doesn't want any bad reviews I guess! The kids get their furniture today, right?

tsk, love your good morning picture! My Christmas tree has red apples on it, this morning I found 2 in the hallway and one under the table... Harley, aka Turdbutt likes to lay on the tree skirt, acting oh so innocent. Ha!

baz, yes, walk faster when it's cold! Cute cartoon, the snowman taking an eye exam!

Hope this works, Phyl

My Hallmark treasure from 2021 wasn't really an ornament.  It is a musical animated thrill.  My Ton would hit the button whenever he walked by it.  Again it was presented to me as I checked out of Hallmark with my own purchases.  (The store is evil!)  The clerk asked my name and presented me a paper bag "from Rita".

Rita and I had met for the first and only time that day.  We had a fun and interesting talk of at least 1/2 an hour, no it had to be longer than that.  Talked of Disney, families, love of the season and all its traditions, etc.  We hit on so many things.  Gave her my business card which had all my contact info.  She never contacted me in any way.  All I knew was she had a great attitude and pleasant personality.  Noone at the store had any info they could share.  Every time I shop I have to rue the fact that such a lovely person is still a secret Santa for me.  BTW, my deceased sister's name is Rita,  she had passed away spring of that year.  I truly believe Rita was an angel sent to me.

Let me describe my toy:  music box plays throughout the antics:  Santa goes up and down in the chimney, reindeer goes up the side of the roof, there's a rabbit that hops back and forth the front of the house, the door opens and closes displaying a girl and boy gingerbread who say Merry Christmas, across the to of the doors there is a cat and dog chasing each other around and back thru the top of the house.  All the time, even without the button/activator, the gingerbread house is ornately flashing its strings of colored lights while the "voice" sends Christmas greetings.  A bit more involved than an ornament?

If the below doesn't work I'll try something else later.  I should be getting ready for a visit from a friend.  I'll check things out later.

Good morning, Beakers

I am waiting my turn at the ENT, but wanted to pop in and say hello.
I will need to run to Bradley’s after the appointment to drop off a few more boxes.
Clynn, I saw your question about move in date of today. No, Bradley had it wrong. It is the 15th.

Will catch up when I get back or later this evening. Have a good day, everyone 😊

Fireside music and Canadian winters are a natural pairing.  I miss music nights with Keystone and the winebulance.  We should try get a reunion going after Christmas.  Warm up some freezing January night.

Pool was nice and warm 84 degrees with sunshine streaming. Ahhh...

PUFF ... how nice of Rita to give such a nice gift. Similar story... My Mom was in a nursing home for less than a week before she passed. Camper and I lived a block away so we visited each day. On one afternoon when we wheel-chaired her outside for some fresh air, a visiting poodle puppy said hello to Mom. Her name was Indy. Our Indigo (Indy) had passed a few months earlier. ! And, Mom passed a few days later on her wedding anniversary. I'm convinced Indy and my Dad came to welcome her home.  :'(

Well, just finished my oatmeal, peanut butter and green tea.

Puff no probs or delays  for us today---I'm for that!

Tsk lovely mystic winter greeting this AM; new food dishes are white. Leaned toward green to coordinate w/ dinning-kitchen. But, mom's words prevailed.
"White's always right."  Tks Mom  ;)

CLynn Maggie is eating out of SS as well. It's the wrought iron s croll holder that's loose. I 've had to Jimmy-rig them to sit higher with a tilt--to about 6".
This set is a bit shy of that. But should still give her a good height. I hear ya on packgage arrivals---Christmas is only 12 days away.  Gosh! Time is getting away from me, again.  :'(   Enjoyed 'Kinder than Man'  What a hoot! 'Key's under the mat'

Hi Emy

Tig nice warm pool again--soothe those joints. Luv P,B and J

Lani LOL tortoise in Santa hat. And yet cute.  Glad everyone will be together for Christmas. Maggie's new dishes, right now I've had to rig them to sit higher to about 6" with a make-shift tilt. Hopefully this will serve as well since  it'sa bit shy of that. But should still give her a good height.

A red shouldered hawk off the East Coast of US.

Morning all!

I've been busy and still have some catching up to do.

Jack the plumber came this morning as yesterday his job lasted the entire day...
Oh well good to have a new laundry tub faucet not leaking/dripping.

Anyway, my State Farm Insurance Agent sent us homeowner/policy holders an invitation to join Ting. They are offering a free sensor and 3 years of free monitoring. Hmm, in my old house seems like a good idea. It's for elctrical arcing, etc. A detector meant to prevent electrical house fires. Given I've replaced almost all my faucets inside and out on my now 66 year old house and more, it seems like it might be a great idea to monitor all of my electrical networking. Anyone else know about this sensor?

Tig - lovely memory of Mom and your thoughts!.
