Hello, Beakers. I'm glad to hear you are all safe at last report, and hope you all stay safe through the rest of the severe storms today, tonight, and into tomorrow.
Karen, I have been watching the tornado reports in your part of the world, and hope you don't have any come near you. Stay safe.
Lisa, the threat of severe weather later today and tonight includes the area for you and for Bradley. I hope everyone there has their ears to weather alerts, with the volume up for notificaitons in whatever area you are at the time. I hope you all stay safe and don't have severe weather. I hope you get back home before the 40-60 mph winds get there. Take care.
Lori, that's such sad news of Andria, the Bald Eagle, may she rest in peace. And sad, as well, for her mate, Alex, and their unhatched, recently-laid egglets. Alex is doing all he can to care for his nest and egglets, but I know he will have to leave them to hunt and find food for his own survival. I hope he will stay healthy and safe, and I hope he will find a new, healthy mate for next season, and meantime, I hope he will stay safe.
Prayers for the 6 people who died from the tornadoes in Tennessee - 3 of them around the greater Nashville area, and 3 dead in Clarksville (in 3 different homes that were completely demolished down to their foundations), and for the many injured, and also for their loved ones, and for all who experienced those awful storms and tornadoes, and the loss of so many homes, schools, businesses, and other property, and who will be without electricity, some for many days, and with cold weather returning to those areas after the warm-weather storms went through. Last I heard, there were 27 tornadoes reported in the Tennessee tornado outbreak, and Kentucky was also hit by some.
My TN Mtns Sis and her home is safe - they were lucky that the tornadoes and severe weather that came in their direction did not hit where they live - but it was close.
It's all good so far where I live - just rain so far. But Zippo and I are alert to potential severe weather, and will be throughout the rest of today and overnight, when some of the newer lines of weather will form and come through. It's a small craft warning here now, but that will change over to a gale later today as the winds change direction and the cold front gets closer - expecting 35-40 mph winds tonight, but fingers crossed, not tornadoes, though we are in the area of that possibility.
Everyone stay safe and take care.
