Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, beautiful 365, soft snow in MN and a cardinal! Love seeing them in my lilac bush in the winter, especially when there is also a blue jay close by. They are like ornaments! 46 here, 59 for the high today. Wow on the eagles in Amy's Blog, relieved to see they were able to free themselves, I was worried!  Yes, hug the cat...

Lani, Mike is like Ed, the clock basically has no meaning...as far as work time. Ed's hours are 10 to 2, but he is never done at 2 and often gets calls and meetings before 10. He just can't say no. Of course, if Mike is on call he can't say no to any call... like a doctor! Thanks for all the good news of the Albys, I also love watching their courtship! It is so cute and they are such gentle birds... And those sweet sounds they make, and then it's like they kiss! Love the dog nose! Great video of Amelia and her cubs feasting on the salmon! Beautiful birthday cake for nr!

E4E, do you get hummers year round? I don't see very many around here, maybe I need to put out more than one feeder next summer!

tsk, like you, I would think meals for a pre-diabetic would have the lowest amounts of sugar possible, oatmeal with natural sweeteners like fruit! Now you will be checking everything, let them know that when you call! No false advertising allowed!!

baz, glad to hear your knee is behaving! Oh no, late afternoon and you haven't eaten since morning! So what did you eat!  ;D ;D Love the card for nr!

Lori, love the treats for nr, I looked up the recipe for the Caramel Apple Cupcakes and saved it!

Lisa, don't feel bad about the emergency brake, I had to ask Erin to show me how to release it, I could not figure out how! And in what world does a P indicate the emergency brake? When I got the rental car last year (hail damage being repaired) the engine light was on. So I went back in and told the guy, he looked up something on the computer and told me it was just serviced a couple of weeks ago and it was fine, probably a short in the light. Didn't make me feel better...

OK for me to add off-topic opinions?  Oh, OK.   ;)

Two of my favs at breakfast would include either bagel (egg and/or blueberry) and english muffin.  Muffins I've always liked are Bays sourdough muffins.  So what's the deal with Bays Brioche.  Bought them yesterday, had for breakfast just now.
They're sweet.  Didn't expect that.  And with that let me repeat that I had my pneumonia battle over 10 years ago now.  Along with the pneumonia I had the evil virus.  Virus caused me to lose my smell and taste.  Even nasal surgery didn't help.  Both smell and taste have basically disappeared.  Along with very limited tastes, salty and sweet are my only choices.  By limited tastes I mention fresh carrots, cilantro, root beer, pineapple, and raspberry.  To a fault I use too much of both salt and sugar.  Without one of them there's no saliva to spark anything but dry food.  Bites of whatever basically just clog up the swollowing.  That's why I usually opt for peppermint tea and use sourdough breads when I can.

Back to the brioche - it is heftier, thicker, and sweeter.  No holes, much smoother, crunchier.  I can understand why they're usable even for sandwiches.  Thanks for all the commenting; something different even though there's no new taste.  I did have butter on one side, and blueberry preserve on the other side.

Now back to my second of tea.  Enjoy the day!

Good morning Beakers!
Hi Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Omasawyer, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Phyl, beautiful cardinal amongst the quiet of the first snow... I was glad to see the locked eagles able to part. I loved the reaction of the juvie carefully eyeing the adult eagle that jumped on the log next to it. Very neat video....DOTY, gosh I miss Aly, she would have driven to Starbuck's for a Pumpkin Spice Latte for the two of us.  :-\

Clynn, we have hummers year round. I bring the feeder in on cold nights and set it back out.... love the turtle/dragonfly ... and school room.

Puff, butter/blueberry preserves on muffin! YUM! Enjoy your day  ;D

Lori, yummy Angel Food cake for Tsk/Tim!

Good Morning/Afternoon Beakers

tsk - I hope it is a simple fix too, but still waiting to hear.  They told me yesterday they would get back to use by 1:30pm, no call.  I called this morning and no return call, yet. I bet the oatmeal was made with the maple syrup and cane sugar, cause those have a lower glycemic index.  I use a pasta called Dreamfields that has a low glycemic index, and my blood sugar is not as high after eating, if I would have had let's say Barilla pasta products.

Lani - This should be covered under his warranty, and the least by the extended warranty.  Thanks for the Royal update.

baz - Glad to hear the knee is doing good.

nr - Hope you had a great day celebrating you.

Phyl - Thanks for 365, DOTY, and RRP blog.  Those eagles were something to see.

clynn - I know right!  (P) means Park to me.  They should have put (EB)!  Oh, engine light being on would have not made me feel better either.

Hi to tig, Puff, kb, E4E, Lori, karen and all  :)

I finally saw the Bay's English muffins in one grocery store this morning, that I normally do not shop very often.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, tsk & Tim!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY DAY, BEAKERS!  :D

Clynn, yesterday I reheated the leftover half of a cut of pork tenderloin that was stuffed with spinach, and steamed fresh broccoli to go with it, along with a third of a baked sweet potato.  Not exciting, but nutritious, tasty, and filling. Just the basics.

I'm headed out for a walk now.

Take care, All!  :)
