Eagle soaring with acrobatics!  About 3:30 this afternoon, over the Pond bluffs.  Spectacular.  Hope someone is getting this on video.

STL - Tulsa did!! :-*

Sonday afternoon 'fight' ?
I had volume on - I heard no eagle vocal at all.
Explore pics - Oliver said they locked talons - I couldnt tell.
An eagle was roosting in tree with juvie / sub when another eagle flew by.
Challenge?

shep - I am not positive, but I think it would be pretty hard to hear vocals over by the bluffs.  We hear sound really good with the mics that are on the nest, but I think that might be a lil far away to pick up.
That action this afternoon sure was exciting, and such a pretty sub adult and adult BE.

News for those of us who use AMAZONSMILE to donate to RAPTOR RESOURCE PROJECT.  If this has been previously posted (I didn't see it) I am sorry.

AmazonSmile will go away 20 February 2023.  https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2023/01/19/amazon-discontinues-amazonsmile-donation-program-layoffs/11080565002/

Those of us who used AmazonSmile to donate to RRP will just have to up our regular donations.

Johnny - Thanks for sharing this news here. RRP did have a brief announcement on their FB page a couple of days ago:

"Thank you to everyone who supported us through Amazon Smile. Amazon is ending their donation program on February 20th. Contrary to Amazon's public statement, your choice of Raptor Resource Project was incredibly helpful and we deeply appreciate that you chose us."

All of us who used Amazon Smile to donate to RRP and SOAR, for example, are upset and, indeed, angered by Amazon's decision. But, as you say, it's up to us now to make up the difference in our donations.

Lisa, that's a great pic of HD hauling a really long, large stick!  Major railing material.  He was working on the wonky stick also for a while again this morning about 10:30.  HM has been observing from T1.

Calling, flying and following, perching and eating fish close by each other.  Everything except sharing prey or mating on camera.  Next warm spell, perhaps?

Great pics, STL!

I think those sub adults have been keeping HM & HD occupied.

T40, that's a great video!  These Hatchery eagles at Decorah and also the Norths at DNN seem to be in a "really big stick" phase these days. Tis the season perhaps?
