Three o'clock is a good time for a visitor. Not sure where in the closeup, but later, the visitor and I think the Norths were perched in creek trees. Twittering and perching close to dominate by the Norths, but no aggression observed.

Quiet morning so far.  One nice view at the creek.

Early morning, DNF visited the nest, flew around and brought back a stick [see pic of her flying after breaking it off a tree].  Closeups and all thanks to the cam ops.  Soon after, MrN brought a fish to the nest and DNF followed.  Of course the fish was for her.

Tune in to the rewind at noon for a loud chorus of "Cattle R Us."
And a hawk in one of the twiggy trees.  Maybe Northern Harrier.
DNF is still into raising the rails, then perching with MrN, who departed for the creek bank to get a front row seat for the cow-yowling.  Actually, I think it is the bull doing all the noisy stuff.

Not much going on today.  A visitor was perched across the stream and DNF chased it off when she left the nest after a morning visit.

DNF on the nest.

Here are a couple of pics from yesterday of Mr. North when he was perched on the left-side perch branch.  I've noticed that the adults usually only perch there when they're using the branch as a lookout or when defending the nest.  In this case, the North's had just chased off a visitor in the stream area.

What a handsome fellow he is.

Ginger, MrN is sure a handsome eagle!  Always something interesting to watch at DNN, even on quiet days.  Squirrels, little birds, wild plants, shadows moving, sunrise and sunset, and of course the cattle, who often provide sound even when we can't see them.  Fingers crossed that DNF is not so bothered by other eagles this nesting season.  Go, MrN, and chase 'em away.   >:(

Shep, I found the owl calling on the rewind.  Dog barking at the same time, the likely disturber.

Nest work continues, young eagles continue to visit the area.

Early morning work on the nest.  Another beautiful day here at DNN. MrN brought a really huge log, not real heavy but very large, and moved it around, then DNF moved it some more.  Typical.  Later, a hawk perched on the Yonder snag, while crows complained.  Not sure what kind of hawk.  Yellow eyes, tail with narrow, horizontal stripes, maybe an immature something??

Did I miss something ???

When I turned off last night there was only one of our adults perched on the branch as is usual.  This morning there still is only one.  I think from the girth that it must be DNF.  I miss the two guarding their stack-out territory.

OK - All clear - Finally have both of them at the nest.  Wonder where he spent the night?

Nest work goes on today.  And a couple of juncos visited the nest when the Norths were away. They are very active little birds, so the cam ops did great work to get a closeup in focus!
