Eggs To Hatch Live On Explore's New Sauces Bald Eagle Cam
Explore and the National Park Service are excited to bring you an all-new cam streaming live from California's Channel Islands - the Sauces Bald Eagle Cam!
And we're more-than-thrilled because there are already eggs in the nest and they're expected to hatch this week! After the parents welcome their new chicks, both mom and dad will take turns hunting for food, bringing it to the nest and tearing off pieces to feed their young. The couple will protect and nurture them until the juvenile eagles branch off on their own at 10-14 weeks of age.
The Sauces Bald Eagle Cam is made possible through an educational partnership between the National Park Service, Montrose Settlements Program, Institute for Wildlife Studies, Ventura County Office of Education, The Nature Conservancy, and explore.org.
Thank you for joining us in the nest to watch the bald eagle family grow. While you visit, take snapshots and share them in the comments section or email them to

Never stop learning,
