An egg was laid Feb 15 and was no longer in evidence on Feb 22, although no one seems to be sure what became of it.

Another egg was laid on March 16 and broken shortly thereafter by an accidental misstep. 

If you are right, this would be a third attempt at a clutch this year.

These two continue to bring in nesting materials.  Yesterday they worked for nearly two hours on their castle in the sky, although it wasn't always harmoniously.  Maybe they should call in Dr. Phil for a consult.

Hi Emy!! I watched yesterday for quite awhile and no one came. So happy you caught them today!!! This could be interesting if this is a new eagle & not 40!!!!

On one of the Channel Islands sites, they said it is A40 coming to the nest.  He just lost his bling.  It kind of looked like him to me so I did some digging.  I sure hope these two have some success this year.  This site sure has had enough rotten luck.

Maybe the jury is still out on whether this is A40 or not.  Today the cam operator zoomed in on a banded leg.  MP do you remember if A40 was banded?  I will go back over last season pics when I have more time.  I don't remember a band, just wing bling.....but can't remember if I even looked for one.  Also at 18:37 of October 7 (same video as zoom shot) there was a fly past of another large bird while these two were in the nest.  Could be a very interesting season.

Thanks E4.  That's a pretty clear picture of the band.  They must just be trying to confirm the band number.  I am busy this morning but this afternoon I will try to capture the fly past.  If I get get I will post it.
