Hi Jewelies!  :)

Power & internet down here. Thank goodness for smart phones! One storm right after another for several hours. Tornado touched down west of me. That storm was headed my way but weakened thank goodness! We've had some hail too. Lots of rain; Cal will have to go the long way around because she will for sure have flooding.

Going to stop now & save my battery. Guess I'll get the emergency lantern out and read!

Have a great evening!

Hi Jewelies!  I'm so glad to hear that cal and dlong are ok.  Saw the weather map on the news, and there were red boxes all over that area.  Stay safe, you two!!  I just got back from eating at the Steakhouse (that doesn't have steak, lol).  Spur of the moment invite from my daughter and couldn't pass it up!  Glad I hadn't eaten supper already!  We had a little storm this afternoon, a little tiny bit of rain.

cal... I loved the dog shame this morning!  What a smart dog, putting his paw on the other one's nose!  lol

JP... Wonder what Guy ordered at the lunchroom today!   :D

rues... How's Crow doing today?  Did he stay up all night?  I hope he's doing ok today.  For some odd reason, Handsome doesn't want to go outside much.  He went out for a few minutes when I got home, then wanted right back in.  Hmmm...  lol

Hi to everyone!  Hope nobody has any more scary weather!  Stay safe, Jewelies!

Our matriarch, Shadow.

Not a very successful morning for me but I am hanging in here.  I don't feel like doing anything.

Bad storms for some of you.  I hope those move out and all are safe.

Make the most of this Friday, it is the last one we have this month.  God thoughts go out to all of you.

Good morning jewelies! it is 63 and the rain has almost stopped but weather man says will be back at 5 pm some heavy rain. some tomorrow and the next day and monday and tues and wed next week. i am hoping to be able to get to richmond and get lots of pet food. trying to stretch my hay cause it looks like my hay guy will not be able to cut and bale more for along time. really depressing.

Hi JP! thanks for the picture of shadow. she is the top bear. I am happy this is the last friday. wish may was over and looks like the first of june will be more rain. might as well be winter time. the grass is almost out of hand now can't mow way too wet. barn getting some water in it. just sad. what ever we are doing to the climate we need to stop it.

Hi Obsver! i can't catch that cat and i think its stomach might be getting bigger. just what i need on top of everything else for that cat to have kittens. i could cry.

HI to all you guys!

Hi Jewelies!  Hot today and not much breeze.  Looks like a good day to stay inside!

cal... I haven't thanked you in awhile for the dog shames and puzzles every day.  I appreciate you very much.  I remember having to wait for hay to dry out before we could bale it.  It was really nerve wracking after we cut it, hoping for no rain on it.  Aw, geez... hope that cat isn't pregnant!

BBL, Jewelies!  Hi to everyone!

Good luck with the cat Cal.  Glad Jim was near and under that tornado!  Good to hear you and DLong are ok!

70 and rain off and on.  I hope it stays cloudy or it's going to get steamy out there.  I have to go to the laundromat shortly  :-\  Sure do miss having my own washer/dryer, haven't had my own since I moved here January of 2008.

That poor dog that ate the electric blanket, broke the door, and is in jail  :D

Hi Nora! It is so humid here really bad. brewing up the next storm due here around five. been working in that barn have to wear a flannel shirt the hay makes my arms break out bad. turn those huge industrial fans on high out there. girls been in there of course. sweet so happy blowing his hair way back and the girls mane is flying! :D i feel kinds sick got overheated i think.

Hi Ra! you are very welcome for the stuff. happy to do it for my friends! when ron cuts our big beautiful hay field for the big bales he tries to do it like in august when it is suppose to not rain. we all hold our breath too. once a year he cuts and we get tons of them big bales. no weeds no horse poop. nothing on it except boo and houla once in awhile on the four wheelers.

Hi JP no game last night due to storms and betting no game tonight either.

Donna

Up late  last night watching the Marlins lose to the Braves.  The Braves have the worst record in baseball.  The Marlins have played 4 games against them and lost all 4.

I wish good spirits for all and hope you can enjoy Saturday.

Daily Updates
Ted and Lucky Go Crazy! - UPDATE May 27, 2016
27 May 2016
Print Email
Ted loves cedar chips. He always has. But this new pile brought out more vigorous action than any of us can remember. For over 4 minutes, Ted squirmed vigorously in them, Holly and Lucky up the tree
Holly and Lucky up the tree
first on one side and then the other, especially rubbing his head through them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLTA8ISQMnQ

Not to be outdone, Lucky put on an energetic show with a piece of burlap?first in the water and then on land. I?ve never seen anything like it. Lily Fans say they?re watching it over and over. And who would have thought a piece of burlap would be that great? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uurh7GsHEeM&feature=youtu.be. And another angle of this action can be seen at https://www.facebook.com/ andie.harveaux/videos/o.139730642706794/1368125 713213909/?type=2&theater. What other things can we give the bears to stimulate innovative play?

What an action-packed way to start the Enrichment Programs that will run at 11, 1, and 4 CT each day! They are on the PTZ Cam under the Live Camera tab on bear.org at http://www.bear.org/website/live-cameras/live-cameras/ptz-pond-cam-live.html.

Lucky napping
Lucky napping
Behind the scenes, Lucky was photographed trying to take a nap and Lucky and Holly shared some togetherness up a tree (photos).

Early this morning (about 1 AM), I got back from a whirlwind trip to the location where a new program on bears is being filmed. I couldn?t really afford the time away from writing, but a day and a half seemed a good balance because the program?s topic could help save orphaned cubs that are currently euthanized.

Thank you for all you do.

Good morning jewelies! it is 59 here and raining a little poured overnight. Them video are the cutest ever! Ted rolling in the chips!! Lucky showing that burlap sack a thing or two! reminds me of drama or calihoula shaking a stuff animal or an old rug. lucky taking a nap..what a darlin. Them bears are so cute. like big dogs.

Hi JP! Love the pic of donna. I think dr. rogers reported she had 3 cubs this time not the four i could be wrong. I know those braves royals lost one of their game in that series to them. The rain held off till midnight so our game got played. it was nice and cold in my room i had three blankets on me and the dogs was laying down watching the game. duffy was the starting pitcher and he was doing great too. we got a run white sox he was getting them one after another and i must of fell asleep cause then jim got home from ac work and woke me then he left i saw duffy was not pitching anymore i thought why did they take him out well score was chicago 5 us 1! it was the 6th.sox got a grand slam and a solo homer. cuthbert taking moose place doing pretty good and merrifield taking gordon place doing good too and we had a new DH last night making his debut from minor. his parents were in the stand. he got a hit too. said our batting ave is 337 first place in AL. so in the 7 th we got 4 runs and another in the 8th. sox had their tough relief pitcher in there. but we still got that one run. going into the 9th 3 outs away and we bring in of course the machine wade davis. strike one strike two got a single say what. second batter one strike two three out third batter strike one two three yer out.  fourth batter strike one sox steal second. takes out the force to second but wade just pitch dont worry about that guy and he didn't all fans still there on their feet lets go royals. strike three OUT!! we won the game. picked up a whole game on the sox.

Jim came in here and left i got a mound of paperwork here on my desk and have to go feed the cats and dogs Hi to all you guys!
