RC with Heinrik and Veronica

Running a little late this morning as I was up late with the Marlins.  They won, breaking a three game losing streak, and now have played the Washington Ntionals 12 games and the split is 6-6.  Afternoon game today.

I have been filling my days with digitizing my records into high resolsution music files so I have not done much reading.  I will have to get back into that and the Nora Roberts book sounds great.I have enjoyed several of her trilogies.that were set in Ireland.

I pass good Sunday thoughts to all you ladies/

Daily Updates
Sophie, Holly, Lucky, WRI Work Day - UPDATE May 21, 2016
21 May 2016
Print Email
A call a few minutes ago makes me have to correct an error about ?Sophie? posted on May 18. That was not Sophie. I just saw the real 4-year-old Sophie (no mistake) with 2 cubs!
Sophie
I immediately came back to the WRI and compared her picture today with the bear pictures in the update of May 18. Even taking into account differences in light (beautiful morning light on the 18th, at sunset tonight) and pose, the bear of May 18 is not Sophie. It was so good to see the real Sophie and have everything in my memory click that it was definitely her. Her two cubs were high up in a white pine poorly visible. Now we?re on track. As a group, we?ll have to figure out who the bear of May 18 is, but we know the bear of this evening is Sophie. Black Bear Field Course participants will thoroughly enjoy meeting this sweet bear, as we have looked forward to. This bear could be another ?June? or ?Lily.? We look forward to seeing her cubs develop in both form and personality. It is a good day.

Lucky and Holly
Do bears have unforgettable days? Today, Lucky and Holly hung out together, playing, eating, swimming, and getting in the mood. Holly went for a swim on this 80-degree day while Lucky ate grass on the shore and kept and eye on Holly.

Holly scent-marked by stomp-walking (planting each foot hard and twisting it while walking) and by standing up and rubbing on a tree. Lucky followed up by standing up and rubbing the same tree, intermixed with bouts of tumbling play on this beautiful day. People remember feelings longer than details. Is it the same for bears?

Sophie's cubs high in a tree
At the Wildlife Research Institute it was a work day. Twenty-four volunteers from the community and elsewhere in Minnesota, including Team Forward, gathered at the WRI at 7 AM for spring cleaning and organizing bear food for the Bear Center and WRI, thanks in part to Lily Fans.

Thank you for all you do.

Don't give anything major away, girls! I haven't read it yet!! lol My name is on the waiting list at the library. In the waiting room at the spay & neuter place, all the youngsters were fiddling with their phones, while the crone (me) was sitting there with a book. Lol, Willi, so you fall in love with Nora's animals, and I fall in love with the men.  Jp, I hope you are having a wonderful day. It's beautiful here. We hope to get our tomatoes planted. All the places that sell vegetable & flower plants are crowed.

Hi Jewelies!  :)

Going to try to post this really quickly before my computer acts up again. I switched over to AT&T for my internet on 5/11. They have been back out here 4 times since then to try to fix it. My internet and wifi (internet is hard-wired on my PC) go out 20-30 times a day. I am so annoyed. It has been a little better today but I'll see how it is tomorrow.

Blacklist ended up just like I thought it would. Now we have to wait until next season!! There is going to be a spin-off show with Tom and that Scottie woman who turned out to be his mother. Not sure how that is going to fit with Blacklist but I guess we'll see. The name of it is Blacklist: Redemption.

I haven't been spending a lot of time of the computer but I do keep up with the Jewelies! Been feeling sick at my stomach a lot.  :(

This is Catrina, my daughter's latest foster. She already has a new home and will go there this week. She is really sweet and so pretty.

My kitties were getting teased by a bird the other day. They were twitching their tails and making that weird cat bark noise. LOL

Little Bei Bei loves to climb trees; he would have a good time with some of those little black bear cubs in Ely!

Hi to Cal, JP, Obsver, Rues, Ra, Willi, Blschue, Eaglette, Deb, Nora, Neva, Chippy, and anyone who visits here. Have a good night!  :)

Hi obsver! I read it like you meant it to crowded. i hope no other strays adopt you either. hope i get no more myself but i know that is wishful thinking. i do think the one hanging around here is a male. but can't see if he still has his stuff.

Hi D! oh annoying on your wii-fi. mine used to go out alot and i called my provider and said listen here i pay alot of money every single month and sick and tired of this. running a business and sick of it. made some excuses but it hardly goes out anymore. that one time was out cause of the lease say what. but over the weekend it got fixed someone renewed my lease. sorry you are sick to your stomach. happy to see you and catrina is a darlin happy she has a new home.  your girls are so pretty and i know that tail twitching stuff. sometimes mine quiver when looking out the window the one window i got lots in my room and bathroom but the one looks out to my papas bird feeder and the suet cages and oriole and the hummer feeder. they get to see alot..see the rabbits out in the yard and raccoons and squirrels. i think a rabbit was looking for its kid and i got mad at calihoula all over again.

cal,the Marlins lost today 8-2 so they lost the series 2-1.  Their best hitter is in the greatest slump, something like 5 hits in 48 at bats and 28 strike outs.  The Team batting average is 4th best in the majors but they don't hit well  with runners in scoring position.  Long way to go though.

Hi JP! our DH in a slump too but been getting a few hits. Them nationals are a good team. Got to hit well with runners on base. your right long ways to go though.

obsver, you fall in love with Nora's men, I fall for the dogs.Lol
I just went back to see what THAT was all about Willi.  Wrong Nora, whew.

Catrina is gorgeous DLong!

Speaking of hi to Chippy, anyone heard from her for a while?  Hope she's doing ok.

Dug out the wood chips around my hydrangea plant and the rest of the area I have there today and put in river rock.  I think I'm going to like it.  The squirrels aren't.  I always have little walnut trees coming up because they'd bury them in the wood chips.  I don't think these would dig very well.  :D

There was a robin nest in the bushes out there with three brand new baby robins in it.  Within two days they were totally gone!  Talking to a neighbor and then googling she's right, squirrels will take baby birds out of a nest and eat them!!  I'll bet that's what happened, they are always climbing around in those bushes.   :'(

Got up to 81 today  :( May get a bunch of rain off and on this week.
