Hi Cal! Robin told me about May the 4th be with you yesterday and today is not only Cinco de Mayo but it is Revenge of the fifth! Lol! That silly Crow wore his shorts to George's! But he had his polar fleece pullover on! I'm in sweats and freezing to death! Wasn't it last week I was complaining about it being to soon for 80? Give me those 80's back! Lol! Mother Nature just can't please me!  Nope still haven't seen anymore Star Wars. I was complaining the other evening about nothing good was on tv, should have watched the movie then! I know our next dog, if we were to get another dog, will be a little one. Afraid this election is going to get very nasty. The campaign ads on tv are driving me nuts...all so negative. Wish this whole thing was over.

Hi Jewelies!  Brrr!!  It was Cold today!  Sweats??  Geez.  MY ROCK WORK IS DONE!!  Looks awesome!  Now, I can finish up with everything else that was on hold.

rues... Good to see you!  Send some of that rain this way, ok?  We got your cold temps and cold wind from the North that you sent this way.  Are you finished with your pre-Crow-surgery yardwork?  Blacklist tonight!!  Weeks sure do fly by, don't they?  lol  It's kinda nice that Blindspot is on Monday and Blacklist on Thursday.  They split them up!

cal... Did you see that Janet Jackson is pregnant?  50 years old??  Yikes!  This weekend is The Derby!!  Yay!  Have you read up on the horses yet?  I never do.  I just decide during the pre-race show...  Wow, Jim's going to bring Susie's bed?  You can finally see it??  Is there still a ton of stuff there?  Are the bags that he already brought mostly clothes?  I don't know how you get everything done!  You make me tired just thinking about it!

Nora... Yes, I do end up getting stuff in between cleaning out stuff!  Sometimes I get the dumbest stuff that I could have done well without!  lol

JP... Really nice pic of Eli today!  I'm glad your trip to Miami went well.  Did you take your car?  Raymond works at your car dealer?

Have a good evening!  Hi to everyone!

Hi Jewelies!  :)

I love seeing the great photos in the update every day. That picture of the purple finch in flight was wonderful!

My daughter took me to Walmart last weekend. I was going to get some plants for my porch. I still had some money on a gift card that one of the kids had given me for Christmas. Anyway, I picked out some very pretty petunias, 2 already planted pots and some others to put in a pot I got last year. The one plant I can take care of without killing is a petunia. (so far anyway) They smell so nice. So, we go to check out and she paid for my flowers as a Mother's Day gift! So now I still have money to spend on my card. LOL! I'll post a picture when I have more energy.

I went to the dentist today and got an okay for surgery. Finally; after wasting all that time and money at the UMKC dental school. I have been feeling under the weather. I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Tuesday. I sure think my medication is not working properly so I hope she adjusts it.

Our Liberty Farmer's Market opens this weekend. They have moved it off the square because they are doing work on the sidewalks and stuff around the courthouse. It was moved a couple of blocks east. Well, the other day one of the old buildings on the square collapsed. There was work going on inside for renovation; no one was hurt but it made a big mess. So now the market is going to be in a church parking lot.

This is the old building before. It was built in the 1880s:

This is after:

I have just a couple of pics for you. I haven't been using the computer a lot except for my doggie rescue stuff.

Oh, forgot, my daughter is getting another foster dog. Her name is Catrina. Cal, you should stop reading now. There was a house fire and the firemen found a little chihuahua in a closet with burns, but he had been abused too. They when they opened the basement door this German Shepherd came running to them. Her collar had been on so long and was so tight that it was embedded in her neck. Anyway, the city took the dogs and they are both doing pretty well. The little one is in a foster home already but Catrina is still at the vet. Her neck is getting better, but she is recovering from her spay. She will probably come to Lara's house next week. Cal you can read now! Lara is really excited.

This is Bei Bei in his little den eating a treat of some kind. He spends a lot of time outside in the trees now.

I just loved this picture from the San Diego Zoo of mom and her kids. It's such a pretty picture I wanted you guys to see it.

My kittie Georgy was playing with her little bird toy. It has feathers on it and she likes to pretend that she stalks and catches a real bird.

And I'm not sure who this is; one of the twins and mom at the Atlanta Zoo. Such a sweet picture from Facebook Throwback Thursday.

I'm super tired tonight so I will probably go to bed before I watch any TV. Hi to JP, Cal,Rues, Ra, Obsver, Willi, Blschue, Nora, Neva, Eaglette, Pat, Chippy, Deb and all who visit here. Have a good night all.  :)

Hi cal!  I haven't heard where we're eating for Mother's Day yet.  We usually go with SIL's parents and it's also going to be his mother's birthday, so I told him to tell her she has to choose, since she has a double celebration this year.  He just called me to see how I like my rock, it was one of his friend's from LA (Lower Anderson, a city not too far from here.  Funny they call it LA!) who did the work.  Let me get the mulch done and flowers planted, then I'll try for a pic.  Keyword... try.  lol

Hi dlong!  Always nice to see you!  The tiger pic is beautiful!  It looks like a painting!  You having oral surgery?  What did the dental college do... mess something up?  The rubble of that building is the same one as the Ethan Allen building??  Oh, my!  Georgie Girl sure looks like Handsome!  Poor Handsome and Lily spent the whole afternoon under my bed.  They said something about stranger danger...  lol  There were strangers outside THEIR house!  lol

It's taking me forever to write this... I'm doing it during commercials during the Blacklist.  Later...

Oh, I am so silly. I need a release from a dentist before I can have the hip replacement. Apparently it's dangerous to have that surgery if you have any infection anywhere. So that's why I went to see him. The dental school never really did anything and they took so long so I went to my sister's dentist. He is really nice. I liked him.  :)

Daily Updates
Another Bear Returns - UPDATE May 5, 2016
05 May 2016
Print Email
At 8:03 PM, a small bear appeared along the edge of the yard overlooking Woods Lake. I went out to see who it was. The bear was timid and warily looking in all directions,Young visitor to the WRI
Young visitor to the WRI
sniffing the ground a lot as if for other bears. It?s always safety first. The bear seemed more wary of possible bears than of me. Finally, it turned its attention to the choice food I was tossing to lure the bear close?the last of our hazelnuts. I put a few on the scale and walked away to the window to read the weight on the screen inside?130 pounds, most likely a 2-year-old. It had a light face with scattered brown hairs the color of its muzzle extending up onto its forehead. It also had brown hairs on its chin extending down onto its throat?rare. When it stood up, I couldn?t see any penis hairs, but as it turned away I couldn?t see any vulval hairs, either. I?m guessing 2-year-old female, but I?ll wait for better light to say for sure. With the unusual brown on her forehead and throat, she should be easy to identify from our records. She?s undoubtedly part of the clan the way she knew her way around. Another bear is here!

Thank you for all you do.

Hi you guys! been mowing almost all day. mowed the pasture jim came home and got out the tractor and mowed the upper part of their pasture. i did the lower part and the dogs yard and the side yard. it is 82 i wore my flannel shirt. jim went to get me some hay been gone for hours i think he must of picked it up in the field. hope i get it cheaper if he did. i buy all my hay from this guy. has good alfalfa hay. then i was really tired. had to come and rest. watched carribean house buying deal on hgtv. then fed everyone went out to the barn to clean it up and clean up the hay so jim can put more up there. rolled up my flannel shirt and now my arms all broke out. took the clippers to soda some more.

Hi Jewelies!  Beautiful day here... I got almost as much done as cal!  lol  Well... will wonders ever cease?  I now have TWO cheerleader grands!  Yup... the younger one made her squad.  Good for her!  And, it means more football for me!  Yay!  lol  The oldest one says to her mom today... Oh, forgot to tell you... they moved me up to the Varsity squad and I'm a flyer again!  Guess no big deal for her!  lol

cal... What a coincidence!... Don Knotts daughter is the Grand Marshall at Mayberry Days in the town next to mine this weekend!!  She was on the news tonight!  So funny that you mentioned him today!  Why are your arms broke out?  Because you were moving hay around?  Picky stuff, isn't it?  I had to take out part of my flagstone sidewalk for the stone guys yesterday, so I worked on that today, putting it back together.  I ended up putting all new gravel between all the rocks, so it didn't look like a patch job.  I haven't done the final touches yet, wanted it to set tonight.  I got all the mulch done and my flowers planted.  Looks so good.  Now, I have to paint the porch and I'll be done.  Hope the Royals win tonight.

Hi to all!  Have a good evening!
