Good morning Jewelies! Sun is shining and temps heading towards 70 today.  But more rain coming tonight. At least with all the rain, we don't have to add water to the pool...let Mother Nature do it! Lol! Pool is still cloudy, though. Can't see the bottom! Put some floc in it last night and now today we will put the pool vacuum in and let him ( we call him Barry for short because it's called a Baracuda pool vacuum cleaner) suck up all the stuff that sinks to the bottom.

Cal, cool that you got to watch Don Knotts movie! I don't think I've ever seen that one! Crow says I have but I don't remember it!  I was hoping that girl bear was Aster. Sure wish she show up. I don't think we are going out to eat tomorrow because Robin is out of town this weekend. She'll be home tomorrow afternoon.  To beat all the crowds, which we hate, we normally go out for an early Mother's Day breakfast. I thought we might order take out from Bob Evans or cook out on the grill. I know I'm a mother but I sort of don't like to celebrate Mother's Day since my mom died. :-\  She's been gone 16 years now, you'd think I'd get over it by now.  Crow is all excited about the Derby today! He used to go to the Derby every year and had a ball! I'm hanging around here inside waiting for Hyacinth to come on! Wonder which episode I'll be watching for the umpteenth time! Lol!

Jp, great pic of RC and her kids!

Dlong, great pics! Love the tiger cub! Just beautiful! Wow, did that building just collapse on it's own? Hope no one was injured. Glad the 2 dogs were rescued. I just don't understand how people  can be so cruel to animals. Hope everything is ok so you can have your surgery. Georgy is a cutie!

Ra, congrats to both your cheer grand's! More ball games for you to go to! Lol! Bet your porch and yard looks great! Hope to see some pics! Forgot to to mention a few days back about your "grand kits" post! Lol! Loved it! In fact, my grand kits are here this weekend! They are both enjoying the screen porch. I think Tela slept out there last night!  I caught the very end of Blacklist Thursday. Now I have to go back and watch the beginning! Is there really a Mayberry? Cool that Don Knotts daughter is there! I saw that about Janet Jackson being pregnant at 50! Good grief. At least she is rich and can afford all the help that she might need!

I want everyone to look around and see if you can find my lost Saturday.  Remember if you find it it is mine, my lost day.

The way I realized it was not Sunday was when I went to buy the paper, after lunch, and there were no Sunday comics.

Hi Jewelies!  Another beautiful day here.  Girls are coming tonight, so I've been cleaning and baking.  Orange cranberry muffins this time.

cal... There's not really a Mayberry, SC... the original show's location was in NC... that's where Andy Griffith is from.  This is just a festival every spring all about Mayberry.  Old cars, people who are pretending to be the main characters from Mayberry.  We were supposed to have it here in my town, but people and politics, etc... It got moved to the next town.  There's a guy around here that drives a car that is the exact replica of the old sheriff's car, with the bubble on top and everything.  Pretty cool.

JP... You can have your day back.  lol  It's so easy to lose track of what day is which when you're not working every day.  Yup, willi knows that it happens to all of us.   ;)

rues...  Is Crow getting nervous about his surgery?  Lots of surgeries around here right now... Joe, Crow, dlong...  Seems like I'm missing someone...  Are Tela and Wilson getting along better now?  Lily and Handsome still don't.  He scares poor Lily.  She hides under tables so he can't jump on top of her.  He's a bully.  Still don't know where we're eating tomorrow.  lol  I'll just be ready to go and it will be a surprise, I guess.

Back to work.  Breaktime's over!  BBL  Hi to everyone!

Hi Jp! I will look for your saturday later! i forgot to tell you when i was watching that don knotts movie ghost and mr chicken on the tmc movie channel was showing that bad day at the black rock or something like that. i was thinking i heard about that movie before..jp! had spencer tracy lee marvin. well i just saw the end of it so kind of confusing. this guy had a rifle was by his truck it was nighttime talking but i could not hear him. dogs barking then this woman who was hiding with spencer at this other jeep ran over to this guy she good by to spencer and this creepo guy said something to her dogs barking again shut up shut up...and he shot and killed her!! then he shot at the jeep and went around. spencer got a bottle filled it with gasoline and put his tie in it and when that creepo got over there spence set it on fire and threw it at him. set that creep on fire!! :D did that creep die?

Hi Ra! kentucky derby on i kinda like that mor spirit for second maybe still like that nyquist best. all beautiful horses. how cool people have a mayberry day. with the political stuff i would move it too. barney fife taking on them protesters of trump! had to let the dogs in and watch them showing american pharoah from last year. thursday when me and sister was coming back home went by tim's and one of effies horses was out. i looked tims gate shut lock must of gotten out down in the gulley where tims fence not so hot. i drove right on by and turned at the schoolhouse came home. nice to have this electric gate keep them cows and horses out. i saw the horse back in later on that day. i can't handle a horse out like that cant walk it all the way the back here don't want too. effie treats us like garage no respect for us or our property. the guy across the road from tim who checks his cows all the time probably got it or it came down here and went back home.

Hi Rues! which horse is mr crow rooting for? i hope my hya in on tonight. i bet you saw that don knotts movie if not you missed a really good one. it took place in kansas too!! luther don knotts was a kansas type setter for this paper. lots of mayberry people in it. i read he was a woman chaser. that is why his first wife kay divorced him.

Well what a day you guys. went to walmart this morning and while i was getting checked out by my friend brenda this lady was on a motorized cart deal and she fell from it right where you come in and leave. we did not see her fall but saw her after she fell. some walmart lady was sitting on the floor with her. i think she hit her head on that hard tile floor she was not moving but someone told us she was alive not moving. when i was leaving the ambulance was there i saw her laying there her hand was shaking pretty bad. hope she will be okay. later on i was heading out the side door was going to put old smokie in on jim's side of the garage. as soon as i went out saw this big black snake. he was 0ver 3 feet long. on the left is where i have been turning out my mice. in my tomato bed filled with hay and i got some tarps over that. so worried about mr snake getting them and i got a bunch of new baby birds in the barn up in the rafters. been turning a fan on for them. i ran to get my camera came back and he was not on the grass anymore under old smokey and i thought oh no dont go up in my motor. he went up in my motor see..darn it..i open my hood and there was mr squirrel sitting on top of my motor and i said buddy you need to beat it. he did. so i got a big stick and was looking for mr snake saw him and tapped him with the stick. finally he dropped part of body down i got down and hooked him with my stick pulling him out got him on the ground and trying to run him off he is fast he got back up in my motor. so i got a flashlight and my stick and saw him again and was poking him leaning way down i thought well if he bites me not poisonous but hope he did get my eyes so went and put my reading glasses on. i tapped him again and he moved down real low and back. search all over but can't find him. i heard him moving around. got under my car and was looking up can't find him. honked my horn he did not come out. storms late tonight and tomorrow but can't start my car may kill him and if not don't want him in the garage. shoot do you guys think he will get out soon?

Oh, SH*T!!  There's the snake!!  Ewww!!!!!!!  lol  I jumped back when I saw the pic...  lol... like that pic of the snake was going to get me!  lol  That's  big one!  Did you see the pouring down rain while they were singing the National anthem at the Derby?  Wind blowing... poor ladies in all their finery got soaked!  I can't decide which one I want to root for.  They're all so beautiful... they're all winners if they're in a beauty pageant.  I saw Pharoah and got tears again.  One of the horses freaked out when it started raining and fell down and hit his head, so they had to scratch him.  Too bad.  Miss my mom, too.  I try to be happy just being the mom now, but it's not the same...

Yikes, Cal! What a big snake! Hope he doesn't hang around very long!  :o   Crow rooted for Nyquist and Exagerator. Now he wishes he would have put a bet down on them! He watched all the races today and rooted for the ones with names he liked!  Today's Hyacinth was the one where Hyacinth sends Richard to the police station to fetch Daddy while she has Liz drive her to look at another country estate. She ends up leasing that very small apartment that we get to see in another episode!  :D Didn't know that about Knotts being a woman chaser! Wonder what woman would want to be chased by him? Lol!

Ra, I saw that on tv when the rain poured on all those ladies hats! Bet that made some hats flop and droop!   No, Crow has had so many surgeries that another one doesn't bother him at all. Sometimes I think he enjoys all the attention he gets! Not so much from me but from the nurses! Lol! Glad the sun came out for the race.  Wilson most of the time ignores Tela but sometimes he slaps her! Your muffins sound delicious!

Jp, hope you found Saturday!

Hi cal!  Good race!  Nyquist looks real good... maybe we'll have a Triple Crown winner two years in a row!  You are hilarious about the snake!  I had to read your comment to the girls about the snake riding shotgun!  lol  lol    And, hello big ditch!  lol

rues... I've noticed that Handsome seems to be getting bigger... maybe because he eats all the time!  He's not fat, but sure is solid.  I'd love to see him and Wilson together!  Last night, he was watching out my bedroom window for a long, long time and I finally went to see what he was doing.  There was a big bunny out in the yard and it looked like it was sitting there watching Handsome.   :)

Hi Jewelies!  :)

Getting ready to go to bed; we are going for breakfast early tomorrow morning before the crowds get there. Going to the Corner Cafe and pig out on a giant breakfast!

I wanted to wish all of you moms, both people moms and furry baby moms, a great day tomorrow.

This is a picture of my mom around 1946, the year before I was born. She was an animal lover too.

Hello to everyone. I hope you all have a restful night.  :)

I hate getting my days mixed up JP.  Like someone else said, since not working.

Sorry if this is a bit short, we went to Decorah and to the Humane Society annual big deal.  It was so neat, a pair of beagles that have been with a foster couple for quite a while and no one has adopted because "foster failures" and they're keeping them!  I know it was hoped they could be adopted by someone together.  Got a T-shirt and had some lunch.  Saw Iverburl, that was nice!!  Then we hit Walmart, hadn't been over there in quite a while, and went to a neighbor's for supper after that.  Got home and I took Chester for a mile walk and finished potting some plants.  I think I'm tired.

Is that a bull snake Cal?  How can they crawl around in an engine?   :-\

Rues "Didn't know that about Knotts being a woman chaser! Wonder what woman would want to be chased by him? Lol!"  My thought exactly, who would have wanted him?

I like that picture of your mom Dee.
