Hi, Jewelies! We got some big flakes of snow for about 20 minutes, but it didn't stick. Don't want snow, don't need it. Mr. O's sister, who lives in Florida 6 mo. of the year, doesn't understand why we don't go down there. I really like the memory foam with gel contour pillow I got at Kohl's. (My other one was about 10 years old.) I went back and got Mr. O one, both costing only $14 each, normally costing $35. Our old ones don't have the gel in them. Mr. O's 95-yr-old aunt died Tues. She's the one who had a birthday in June. She was a classy lady. No visitation nor funeral, just a celebration of life Fri. night. Not a bad way at all to do it. She outlived 2 husbands and was married to her 3rd. Wow.

Bischue, I hope you had a good birthday. Jp, it's always good news when you are having a good day!  Cal, you sure are busy cleaning up messes! Would Babe tolerate wearing one of those adult diapers?  Probably not.  Rues, the keyboard is an unfortunate place to have a cat puke. Cats
never throw up in the kitchen nor bathrooms--it's always on the carpet.  Ra, Wouldn't peanut butter fudge or something chocolate filled with maple taste good? .  Hi, nora, neva, deb, Eaglette, pat, chippy!   You know, we've been coming to this chat room for a few years now. Amazing. What a good group here!!!!!

Oh no Rues, Stella did that??!!  How awful.  Hope the computer guy didn't laugh when you said what happened.

Snow -- we just got a little after it rained and sleeted.  Basically all melted now.

JP loved your poetic morning post, glad you're feeling good.

I had ONE cat that would get rid of hair balls in the bathtub.  Not great, but easy to clean up.  Anyone else was on the bed or carpet.

Obsver, those sound like great pillows!!  Sorry about Mr. O's aunt, it sounds like she had a long life.

We went to Gundersen up in LaCrosse yesterday to meet and talk with the surgeon for Joe's bypass surgery.  I really like him.  We'll go up on Wednesday next week (9th) and he'll have all his preop labs, etc., and then since we live that far away and this time of year weather gets iffy he (WE could have, I'm going to go home) can use a room they let people use when they have to be there early (6AM) to stay overnight in.  He'll have the surgery on Thursday (10th) and be in 4-5 days.

Nora... They said in the update today that it will be ready around the middle of this month and will ship out fast.  Cutting it pretty close, huh?  Hope Joe does well with his surgery and it goes smoothly this time.

Hi Jewelies!  Long day today.  The sun finally came out for a couple of minutes... before it set.  lol  Nice for the next few days, but chilly... in the 50's.  Today is my ex's 70th birthday and our daughter and her two brothers and their families went out to dinner together.  They don't get to see each other much... they're all in different parts of the state.  It's late and they still haven't made it home!  Poor kids!

obsver... Funny you should mention peanut butter fudge... I'm making some for Christmas!  I did last year and it came out really good.  I use Velveeta cheese in it... makes it nice and creamy.

rues... I got the Fiesta ware dishes today...such pretty colors!  I got two bowls, yellow and turquoise, and an orange platter.  Nice stuff and it got here really fast... I just ordered it Sunday!  I was sitting here and there was a knock on the door... Fed Ex dropped off a package... at 8pm??  Lily likes to go outside, then when she comes in, she always ends up throwing up somewhere.  I have her trained to only do it in the kitchen... almost.  lol  She knows she won't get in trouble if she does it in there.  What a mess Stella made!  Did the repair guy laugh?  lol

cal... Glad Polly got there safely last night!  Hi Polly!!  I'm watching the Property Brothers on the ranch show... I like what they're doing, too.

JP... Sounds like you got rid of your cold fast!  How'd you manage that?  Hope your new computer came today!

Hi everyone!  Hope all are well!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone has a pleasant Thursday, December 3rd.

I am so upset about my computer.  When I checked with them, right after Thanksgiving, I was told it would ship on the 30th and arrive on the 2nd.  Yesterday, when I had not received any email saying it had shipped, I checked its status on the internet and it said it was expected to ship December 10 and be delivered the 14th.  I immediately called and the rep finally told me it would ship that day.  He sent me an email saying I would receive an email with the UPS tracking code so thst is what I hope to get today

Needless to sayy I am not a happy camper.

Yes, my cold ieither gone or lying dormant.  It was a severe one but it faded fast.  I hope that means my system is in good shape.  All my medical check ups have been good.  I have a cardiac Echogram this afternoon - routine, and then I am through with doctor appointments until next year.  That sounds great, to me.

Nothing but good thoughts waft through the air from me to all of you.  HAGD.

Good morning Jewelies! So sad about what happened in California. Something has to be done to stop this.  :(

Cal, what a smell to wake up to! Boo Boo must have had to go really bad! It was cold here this morning. The deck was icy! Molly and Boo had to walk very carefully to get to the yard. I'm surprised that Molly didn't just do her business on the deck!  Your advent calendar sounds like fun! Hi Polly!

Jp, darn computer company! Don't they know we miss your morning greetings?

Obsver, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt's passing. Seems a lot of folks are doing the no funeral route and are having a celebration of life instead. That's what my sisters and Crow and I are planning when our time comes.  You always find the best deals at Kohl's! I wish our Kohl's was closer then I would shop there more often. But it's on the south end of the county and at this time of year traffic is horrible.

Nora, hope Joe's surgery is a piece of cake and all goes well for him and you! I didn't tell the computer geek guy that Stella had puked on the keyboard. Just told him there was something wrong with it! Later he called to tell me that it needed a new keyboard because mine was fried. He asked if I had spilled something onto it because he found some dried brown gunk in it! I never told him it was cat puke! I think Stella got sick because I had given her a different brand of canned beef in gravy cat food, one that was too rich for her tummy. I learned an expensive lesson...never leave my laptop open when not in use! And maybe not allowing Stella on the kitchen table, either!

Blshue, sounds like you love the piece goods section of the store! There used to be several piece good stores around here but now only Jo Ann fabrics! Our Walmarts have really downsized their pfabric depts, too. Hope you can find your grandson a laptop!

Ra, happy birthday to your ex! Hope they all had a nice time! Wow, those dishes came fast! Did you figure out what year you got the first dishes for your daughter?  :D We took Tela to the vet yesterday for more shots. She is finally bug and worm free! She was a very unhealthy kitten when Robin got her. Now she is up to 4 and a half pounds! Next visit is for spaying but Robin wants to wait till she's 6 months old. Wish I could get all the 4 legged inhabitants of this house to puke on the hardwood floors. But oh no, they would rather puke on the area rugs, bedspreads, doilies or keyboards! :D

Got to run to Robin's. Told her I would take her bedroom window air conditioner out today! Don't think she'll need it anymore this year!  Hope you all have a nice day! Bbl.

On Wednesday when he has the tests I'll come home.  He'll be grumpy because he won't be able to eat and Sparky's buddy up the street will have enough times of taking him out that I might as well stay at home.  Sparky's routine will already be screwy with Joe not coming home with me for a few days.  Joe will probably be lying there that first evening watching TV and I'll enjoy some quiet at home.  I'll go back up for his surgery.  I imagine the day after that he won't be wanting to visit.  We'll just play it by ear.

Willi I agree with you for the most part on what "the brothers" did with the rustic cabin.  I did love the wall they did with the old wood, that type of thing, but do think the kitchen looked a bit too modern in other respects.  I somehow missed the end last night, will have to check and see how that one came out.

Blschue, it sounds like for getting that much stuff at the store you can out really good besides sales/discounts!

How is your toe doing Cal?

Good Morning, Ladies

Yesterday it rained and it rained.  I went for my echogram and got soaked, even though I had my umbrella and a jacket on.  This morning I go for the follow-up with the doctor and it is still raining.  Maybe it will let up before I have to leave the house.

No word on the computer being shipped yet.  My TV is out, ComCast iworking on it.  It is an area problem and has been o-ut for more than 24 hours.

I send wishes to all for your Friday to be a very nice one.
