Hi cal, I had a busy and pleasant few days with my youngest granddaughter 10 years old. She came here last Friday for sleepover thru the weekend. She returned home earlier today.

Yes all electric and plumbing work is completed.

Darn it about your back! A chiropractor many years ago told me stress will go to a weak or weakest part of the body. I hope all the stress and worrying you're doing about pre-surgical appointments and the staying overnight after surgery isn't causing your back pain.

I understand your frustration. I honestly believe due to the importance of knee replacement that it could not be an out-patient procedure. Agreed no one likes to stay in a hospital and you want to be home with all your animals but it is what it is.

I'm wishing the pre-surgical staff luck with you and your appointment.  ;) You'll be ready to leave as soon as it's over to go home.

Good luck with the rain water gathering then pumping it out.

jo, Hi back to you!

I remember reading your recent posts to cal about your knee replacement. Did you stay just one night then go home the next day?
You made the process sound like it goes smoothly. That's good.

I hope your storm wasn't too nasty and moved along fast.

Reading your post today made me hungry for pancakes. Lol

Prayers to Deanna.

Hi EV1  I got to pancakes and the line was too long.  I had to skip it and go see Bonnie.  So I did not get any lunch until about 4 when I stopped at the grocery for a take out dinner.
Thanks for the prayers for Deanna.  Her Mom, Liz, will drive them from Ohio to Texas where Liz works and lives.  They will travel tomorrow by car, because Breanna is forbidden to fly. I did have a nice visit with Bonnie.  She enjoyed looking at all the pictures in my phone.  I sent her picture eating a Reese cup to Annie so she could see Mom was OK.  Annie comes right back with, "Mom has no shoes on"!!!  So of course I decided I would get Bonnies shoes on.  The thing is, I could not find any shoes.  Sometimes things go missing for a while there.
After about 20 minutes a maid came in to hang some clothes and I asked her to find some shoes.  She did get some from the restroom which is alarm protected.  These would not go on over the heavy socks. I sent a picture of the shoes to Annie.
Annie says there is a bigger pair of shoes, but by that time the maid was long gone and I did not want to set off the alarm.  So I made a more concentrated effort and finally got them on.  It was a good way to use up a lot of visitor time I tells you.  All in All it was a good day.  Now I will cruise the animal cams, play some solitaire, watch some PBS, and get some sleep.
There is one deer at Snow.  There are only about half a dozen deer at the Pantry PTZ, and the fog is so thick you can hardly see anything.  Eagles at North and Big Bear look comfortable and normal.  Kind of odd that it is still light at Big Bear.  It's only 7PM there.
I will say GN GBU now.

7:10  Very close to "average".  Nice Irish horse.  Debbie sent a Happy to me at 8 oclock.  I guess she thought I was up. She was right.  I have on my greenest shirt too.
Only 30 degrees here now, but going up to 60 today.  Heavy weather all missed us thank God.
Yes Paulie.  One night, but I did not even wake up until about 2 or 3 AM.  So where else would I be?  The improvement in my mobility and pain reduction after 15 years of agony were so dramatic i have only pleasant memories.  So I can only be encouraging.
Now I will look in on our cams.  Bye for now EV1 GBU.

6:32
Temps to plummet it says. 37 degrees now.
Class brunch today at 11:30 at Olive Garden.  I am getting used to eating dinner type food before noon.  They don't serve breakfast.  Usually when I eat out I ask for breakfast foods.  Many places serve breakfast all day.
I did finally find some corned beef and cabbage at Rubin's just before they closed. It was generous, and I even took about half home.  This is something new to me.  I am a big eater.  I have a rep at Debbie's from holiday meals. LOL
Now I am eating my cereal with an apple cut up in it at the computer.  I don't get a paper on Sat., Sunday, or Monday any more starting yesterday.  Plus today's paper will come in the mail sometime later. I sure hope I can keep from spilling milk and coffee into my keyboard.  It is already pretty well fed with crumbs etc.
Well good Tuesday morning EV1.  Sorry about your cane Cal.  I know the feeling.  Lost is what happens to me sometimes too.  Mostly that is the end of most of my caps.  I take my hat off in the restaurant as I was taught, then just get up and leave when the bill comes.  Sometimes I am pretty far away from the restaurant when I miss it.  For example I live in Ohio, but I know for sure there is a lost hat in Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama, Florida, and Kentucky.  I keep a spare on my dashboard. LOL
No-one on Snow.  Eagles still sleeping.  Deer staying away from the agitated turkey's on Pantry.
Bye for now EV1 GBU

Dear cal, God bless you. I understand your worries and concerns. You'll be in my prayers for sure. I'm sure everything will go smoothly for you. I know Jo agrees.  :)

I hope you find your special cane in the pasture!!

hi you guys its 62 here really windy and temps to drop snow tonight mixed with rain my kitty waiting for me by side door also 2 raccoonies so threw out cookies and fed the cat half of the food filled water bowl back up got my barn stuff picked up heading to barn with my walker and looked back two raccooines following me cat eating her food back there. two more raccoonies inside the barn

hi joho i did not find my cane. i got groceries then drove over to harps and walked that got home unloaded stuff not big stuff jims gets that anymore then i got my outside walker and heading to gate into indys pasture. it was getting hot and i tell you i had a hard time out there saw the markers and graves but started my way all the way back to the gate my phone rang it was the hospital calling about my presurgery appt i told her i was out in the middle of indys pasture could she call me back when i get inside and can sit down she said sure how long i said well i will first have to go in the barn give indy hay throw out cookies fill water maybe 45 min so i did all that i was pooped out too got back in got a drink sat down she called back every chance i got i reminded her i am going home next morning she said yes jim wants to remind dr of that. only open day is the 29th thursday at 9 am i dont know if jim can get off i can drive myself take my walker and get in she said i go around the corner and then place i have to go pretty far someone will take me in a wheelchair. she asked me stuff said might just take one of my bp pills that day like jim said what is the point of that i did that before did nothing dr buzzard said take them both at the same time oh yes big difference works great so i will just take both of before i leave that day and jim will bring mine next morning when he comes to get me. she asked about my barn i told her i have a barn sparrow lucy in there her name is elusive i call her lucy for she said she has one lives right under her mailbox her name is veronica when she opens her mailbox she flies out in her face. been doing that for 5 years she has a mate too he flies out too. i told her i love that. told about my lost cane . jim did not get home till later yesterday so did not go back out there in the gator but he said he walked it earlier did not see it. so maybe one day i will come across and be so happy. i told her i also have barn swallows come back every year and make a nest under our covered front porch and nest under our roof on walkout basement gets so hot i have fans set up and turn them on leave them on till they are done and head south babies hang their little head out catch a breeze i have dog bed under each next if they fall out and they have and then i go up ladder and put them back in. hoping my new knee will help me be able to do that again this year. i would probably do that too if i wore a cap  good you carry a spare

scout and his family came back did the flyover when i was walking the pasture looking for my cane i waved said hi ya scout. saw many planes up the sky  one rabbit and four deer at snows and looks like in the middle of a costume change

Hi Paulie did not find my special cane hope it turns up going to order another one in a few maybe that will help it turn out. mad at myself for being careless with such  a special heart loving cane not another one in whole world like it

7:07  Kind of a hard one. Still a real nice morning.  Eyes are too watery.  I will go rest a while.  Maybe that will help.  Took so long doing puzzle my coffee got cold. LOL I will drink it any way.
Breanna and her mom, Liz, got to Liz's home in Texas last night about 10PM.  Your prayers are working.  Thanks. The trip was long, and they were very glad to be done traveling.  Breana will rehab there for at least a month.  I don't know what she will do after that.
Oh my state wide test just blasted into my living room TV.  Yikes!!!!  Done now.  Thank goodness.  I guess I passed the test. LOL!
Good luck finding your cane Cal. Maybe get a spare for right now. I will mark my calendar for your knee on Thursday March 29th at 9AM, and pray hard that you have a comfortable and healing experience my friend.  You are being brave, but I know that your pain is a great motivator.
I will go look at animal cams again now.  I finally got a good look at the Big Bear babies yesterday.
Bye for now EV1.  GBU and please God Bless America and Ukraine.

hey you guys.  I just saw one of our bears at the Bear Center out walking.  Not sure who she is, but probably the one with Southern genes, Tasha?  Spring is coming there, but at North in Iowa Mom is covered with snow again today.
OK Cal I will remark my calendar for April 16th and I will start praying for you as soon as I wake up, and keep praying until I see you posting on here.   I am ready for you to be done and on the mend.  I think General is much better than block.  It saves you from lots of bad memories of what goes on around you during, pre, and post surgery.
I think I just saw Tasha out for a walk, and someone is fooling with the bear cams.  Probably Scott trying to find the bears for us.  Marge could do it.
I miss those bears.  I think Doc. does too.
