Golden Birdwing ... 23:38    72°  (5:11 pm)  Heavily overcast and a light breeze.  One small patch trying to let the sun through, not too successfully.  The birds sound happy.

Joho ... wow!  That is some rescue story!  I was freezing just reading it.  That is also quite a nice day that you gave to Nick and Odin.  The gift of good memories.   BTW, I like that name - Odin.

Cal ...   Yes, most kids love McDonald's and out here, my grandkids thought 'Taco Bell' was a  5-star restaurant.  Taking them out from time to time, brings back lovely memories and it didn't take much to make them happy.

6:17  I am having trouble getting warm this morning.  I have my normal clothes on, but am close to the front window where I can hear the wind outside.  Plus I did not sleep well most of the night, and had that 8 am Foot Dr. visit.  I think tiredness makes me cold too.  Anyway I will be going into the living room soon to get some hot tea with honey, thanks to KFC, and warm up.  CUL EV 1 GBU and GB Ukraine.

He said I need to put cream on so my callouses are softer and will quit feeling like a bruise and wearing holes in my socks.  Then we had a long talk about how to keep the cream off my sheets and floors and socks and shoes.  No good conclusion.  He did have an RX for diabetic shoes for me to take to Dr Miclat on Friday.  I will get a new pair of shoes next month.
I am well, but keep dozing off playing solitaire.  Need a break.
Lorrie gave me some clam chowder for supper. I did get the mail, but I forgot to look at it.
Bye for now my friends. GBU and GB Ukraine.

Rowing Home ... 32:39    70°  (6:20 pm)   Heavily overcast, but not as much as yesterday.  It was breezy today.

I hope your day was a good one.

Hi Cal and Joho ...    All last week we had fighter planes flying overhead, some pretty low too.  Doesn't bother me, I grew up in this neighborhood, and near the Air Force Base.  I like the sound, but I was wondering what was going on.  A couple of days ago in the local news they told us that we have Ukrainian pilots here at the Base and with the Air National Guard pilots too.  Having their skills assessed and getting the training they need with the F16s.    Finally!!!

Parachute ... 35:45     77°  (3:22 pm)   Bright and sunny, and windy too.  It is a really nice day.

I hope things are going well for all of you today.

I'm just glad the training has started with the Ukrainians.  Our Base has always done a lot of training of pilots from other countries, and I'm sure other Bases are involved as well.  (While they are here, I bet they are enjoying the weather here.)

Hi Cal ...   Maybe has opinions, doesn't she?  😊 😼   ... like most all of your animals, now that I stop to think about it.

Hi Joho ...   Is there a particular lotion that your doctor likes?  I've been using Gold Bond Diabetic and like it pretty well.

Been using O'Keefe's Healthy Feet and Aveeno.  He did not pick any in particular.  Just kept saying put some on often.  I will get some Gold Bond Diabetic and will use it.  I have been concerned for grease transfer to socks, shoes, carpeting, and bedding, but what the heck.
Softer skin that does not grind holes in my socks would be good too.  All my socks have a hole worn in them by the callous on my left heel.  I will ask  my primary doctor on Friday, and my shoe doctor a little later too.  Tonight though I will put on O'Keefe's and wear socks to bed and around the house.
Good Night now EV1. GBU and GB Ukraine

6:23 mouse would not grab pieces.
Turkey is not being a good friend.  NATO should not give them our weapons.  They will just give them to our enemies.  I say kick them out.
Cal, I too have been wearing very loose cotton socks. Not always easy to find and judge the tightness of the crew tops. I have lots of socks that I cannot wear after one washing, because they become too tight.  I have found that some costly men's dress socks work too.  They seem to resist holes longer. I have one pair of funeral or wedding socks that are several years old, and just now got a heel hole in one.  I still wear them when I want to dress a little.
Finally got my hair and beard cut yesterday.  Feels about the same, but now my chest hair is tickling my chin and making it itch.  I have to go mow off some chest hairs, and get my second cup of coffee, and finish reading yesterday's "morning" paper that I got at 4PM.
So bye for my friends, seen and unseen.  GBU and GB Ukraine

Raven Cactus ... 25:01    73°  (6:23 pm)   Sunny, a few clouds and a light breeze.  It's a thoroughly lovely day.  It's days like today when I wish I could hit a 'Pause button' on the weather, and leave it there for a while.  One of the women at the doctor's office today said it will get a bit cooler next week.  😒

I hope the day has been a decent one for all of us.

I guess I have claustrophobia of the feet.  I have a few pairs of socks. packed away somewhere, I don't like, and don't wear them ... just sandals.  I probably should wear them.

When I was first diagnosed with diabetes, I was sent to a nurse for her to show me how to care for my feet.  I went once a week for a while, and soaked my feet in warm water with liquid antibacterial soap in it in a foot bathing tub.  Then I applied lotion.  I don't remember how often I was supposed to do that sitting and soaking my feet ... but whatever seems logical is right, I'm pretty sure.

I imagine that kind of advice is somewhere online.

hi you guys its 34 here but not raining 22 in iceland 46 light rain in kviv and 51 in the barn.

hi joho i am pretty sure lots of nato members would like to kick out erodan turkey Could NATO Expel Turkey?
NEWSWEEK SUBSCRIPTION OFFERS >
It's not the first time there's talks of kicking Turkey out of the alliance.

The idea was first suggested in 2016 when Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan cracked down on the opposition after a failed coup. It was then brought up again in 2019 when Turkey invaded northeastern Syria. NATO allies reacted with horror and concern at the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the country, with Sweden and Finland imposing sanctions on Ankara that are still in place.

At the time, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham suggested Turkey's membership in NATO should have been suspended, if Turkish troops attacked the Kurdish forces who had helped the U.S. destroy the ISIS Caliphate.

But the North Atlantic Treaty regulating NATO does not have an option to suspend or even expel members. But there's the possibility to do something to the same effect when a member state persistently violates the principles contained in the pact—by failing to safeguard the freedom of its people, the country's democracy and the rule of law. In that case, NATO members can unanimously decide to stop assisting that ally.

But would NATO go as far in response to Turkey's refusal to approve Finland and Sweden's bid for membership?

i dont think nato would go as far but to have someone like this in nato is wrong to me. it should be for the good of all nato and finland and sweden are.   jim and justin heading to iowa this afternoon looking at  big round baler. put our hay up in that this summer still square bales for indy but selling big round easier to do and tractor moves them.  my big toe on my right foot that i had that surgery on i believe another bunion growing on it. what started all this in the first place. yay you got your long hair cut wow beard too.  i love my all cotton socks they really stretch out real loose no problem wearing them only kind i can wear. have to order them cant find them anywhere.

hi neva! you are having some really nice weather for ukraine and my kc royals are in surprise for spring camp and doing good too. other night jim said when he went out to the barn to clean up indys area indy was going to charge him jim using a big rake to rake it up and a big flat shovel use like a dust pan to pick up it into the bucket i use my cane and gloves and pick it up go into a bucket. so jim bumped indys chest with that rake and said he backed right down. i told him we can not have that behavior we are too good too him. and i hope indy remembers that i sure dont want him to start that with me. indy not done it since he charges sweets but on his side and jim dont indy for that sweets keeps getting up in the corner gets close to indys face if indy has his face over there. i dont want indy to charge anything. so yesterday i was in that corner trying to brush out indy and sweets kept jumping up and in that corner i kept yelling at him to get down told me heck i feel like chargeing you myself.. :) we need to put something over his corners bars there so he cant get up right there. i went to walmart yesterday morning my big handle brush i use to clean filter in the barn was missing and im pretty sure a raccoonie took it this new one i tied it up by there. got some stuff for my feet no time yet to put it on. i could not go without socks did when i was a kid but no way now.

gb ukarine and saw putin just had to hit them hard once again also saw on the world news now making big fake tanks cheap to make but fooling putin into wasting missles on them gb all animals and gb all of us
