How many hours of sunlight does Iceland get? The daylight in Iceland is from mid-May to mid-August and the sun only sets for around 3 hours per day, and there is effectively light for the whole 24-hour period. In midwinter, there are around 5 hours of effective daylight.

is Iceland dark for 6 months?

Although the midnight sun peaks around the summer solstice in June, Iceland's nights are bright long into the night as early as May and as late as August. In Iceland, the sun never fully sets between May and August. At the height of Iceland's summer, it doesn't get completely dark across the island.

Nice day today, but busy.  Finally got a few minutes to check chats, and will do the puzzle soon too.  Let you know time later or tomorrow.

5:43 not too bad for sleepy eyes.  72 degrees and calm out.
Went for a ride around the block at evening.  When I got home the old lady across the street was laying on her back on the sidewalk, and she was knocked out, but breathing.  There was a big bloody lump on her head just behind her ear. I wadded up a towel and put it under her head to slow the bleeding.  Her arms and legs were also scraped up and bleeding.  There was a shiny new ladies bike laying in her driveway near her.  Her next store neighbor couple were with her, and had called 911.  It was not good.  The firemen got there and I left so they could do their job.  Her name is Ilene, and she needs prayers tonight.
I am good and hope all who visit here are good too. CUL EV1 GBU and GB Ukraine

What is Tasha Up To? - UPDATE July 16, 2022

Tasha after digging
This is very vigorous digging! I think Tasha is hoping she can hang on to this den without Holly taking it over. She is showing confidence in that and working away big time to make it like she wants. We’re coming up on the earliest date we’ve seen a wild bear make at den. That was June on July 19 in 2004. It is 12 minutes and 40 seconds caught by "Pooch Pal". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-b1XtR1TWM

The picture is of her dusty and relaxing after a lot of hard work.

It was great to see your response to 15-year-old Lily finally appearing. I felt the same. What a relief! And it might be that she will den there because she has gone to that den before when she was already with cubs. Hope I can get a permit to use a radio collar to find her anywhere, though.

Thank you for all you do,

hi you guys its 78 and raining 74 in the barn 9 baby raccoonies and 4 moms. I hope holly does not steal that den from tasha seems to me tasha can stand up for herself. Holly go get your own den and yes seems early to make a den but maybe not soon be august i hope dr rogers does not get a permit to use a radio collar on lily or any bear. not after hunter spotted a collar and murder june mother of jewel. tons of us were begging him to take off those collars and he did.

Hi joho no ying and his wife are in iceland i thought wow to that too. jim said they have lots of money and like to travel so be it. if i could go i would too. iceland gets a ton of vistors. remember rues daughter robin went there. she saw my iceland horses and the northern lights she had a great time.  i hope ilene will be okay let us know. poor woman. how scary  that would be me if tried to ride a bike just my riding mower and sometimes my four wheeler four wheels on the ground not two no having to balance. just ride slow and safe.

I did check on Eileen.  She is better today, and may be discharged later if she feels like it they said. Kind of spotty rain today.  So I may not be going out.
