Tasha, Snow, and No Bob or Pretty Girl - UPDATE March 30, 2022

I don’t know if Tasha knew she was being videoed by "Pooch Pal" or not, so she might not have been hinting about food by going onto the scale, but the word is that feeding will begin soon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doFwjfb6bss. Being from Kentucky, Tasha might not know about snow fleas, but they are available now. The first bear in the neighborhood was reported just 3 miles away from here a couple days ago, and that coincided with a bear being reported leaving a den less than a mile from there at the same time despite the snow. I suspect it’s a male because they are usually the first to roam. Action starting. Looking forward to the first bear here at the WRI.
Speaking of snow, what started as a few flakes falling as I was driving to the WRI at 5:30 this morning quickly turned into such a snowfall that I could hardly see the road. At the WRI, it was still snowing a bit when the crow provided a dark backdrop for the falling snowflakes.
The first thing I do is check to see if Pretty Girl took her food, which she didn’t last night. It had about an inch of snow covering it at that time. Bob cat has not been spotted in the neighborhood for several days now, which might mean we’ll see more of Pretty Girl.

Only a couple inches were added to the existing snow, judging from how much new snow is under the redpoll on the railing outside my desk window.
