After Party
"Pooch Pal" sent more pics of Ted?s party with music!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7fVfh9o6sQ It was nice to be there as part of a loving time of attention to Ted.
To answer questions, Ted isn?t going anywhere. We moved him farther up the hill so the Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) tours, which we had to do as many as 35 in a day this year with the Covid, did not have to all include him. Ted seemed to wear out and was sleeping through some of them. Instead, the BTS tours can now focus more on Lucky, Holly, and Tasha and include Ted when he is up and ready.
Ted was sure up to the party yesterday! Not only was he getting attention, he was getting it up close like he likes best?plus the big watermelon cake. And he was giving attention! Ted is unique among the bears I have known in that he is filled with so much love for people as evidenced by his friendly grunts and tongue clicks?the sounds that means he wants close contact. It is hard to find a nicer bear than Ted. He was raised with love and wants to pass it on. I hate to think of him getting older. I noticed that he favored his left hind leg. Part of being semi-retired is that he can stay in his pen with his big water tub and get fed where he is instead of having to walk down to the pond and viewing area. When the other bears are in their pens, he is free to stroll if he wants to, but he usually doesn?t.
We all want the best for Ted. Ted?s way with people has made him many fans, including the entire staff. Veterinarians are advising us about him.
Thank you for all you do.
