Good morning everyone- went back to bed for a couple hours after Novak beat Federer. The big surprise was American Sofia Kenin beating Ashleigh Barty from Australia and the semi-final. Sofia will play Muguruza in the final. Only one match tonight Zverev against Thiem and i'm not getting up for that. It's at 2:30 AM our time. I'll watch the replay. Seriously sleep deprived here but i'll catch up soon. Basketball tonight against Maryland. Go Hawks.

More later- have a great day jewelies!

Good Morning! Wishing you all a nice day, hoping you are all well and staying away from the illnesses going around.  :)  I am getting ready for a Super Bowl family get together, so some house cleaning is on my list for today.  Love, Deb

Hi Jewelies!  Been struggling with this old laptop, that's why I've been absent.  Had to get a new one, but need to take it in to get everything transferred over.  I've been able to read, but this is the first time for posting!

cal... Good news about Cindy!  You know I'm rooting for the Chiefs!

rues... Love Robin's pics!  I wouldn't have thought in a million years... "Hey, I think I'll go there!"  Not on my bucket list!  lol

deb... Hope you had a nice birthday!  A little belated...

lupine... You sure are a dedicated tennis fan!  Both of my grands have boyfriends who are tennis players.

joho... Glad Joan has a new doctor who seems to give her some relief.  She's had such a hard time for way too long.

Hi Nora and JP!

Pressing my luck here... better post this before I get dumped!  Have a good day!

Cal, could you guys make a wire cage to go over the thermostat?

... her skirt too short and tight."  ;D

That's great news on Cindy!!  Is she a daughter of CA's?

Bet you're glad to be back RA!  Enjoy the new laptop.

Hi Deb, sorry I missed your birthday.  Have fun with the super bowl party.

Lupe your sleep schedule must be so messed up, but good you're enjoying watching the matches.

Fingers crossed Joan keeps feeling a bit better JoHoward.

Ok so Quill was an orphan and was from around the Bear Center area somewhere.  Guess he wasn't the one that was hauled in from Kentucky.  Yes with the turned up nose it should help identify him if it stayed turned up  ;)

Cal, great news for Cindy! Finally some good news. Glad that Jim's dad is going home and that Ron is home! My sister is finally back to her old self again. She had me a little worried there last week. Thanks for all that info on Quill. Some of it I had forgotten! I hope Quill makes an appearance this spring. He has the cutest nose. And now another baloney loving mink! Hope Dr Rogers has a safe trip to his mom's funeral. You really bought bunch of heavy stuff today! Crow goes to the dentist next Tuesday. His front 4 bottom teeth all wiggle back and forth! He is having a hard time eating. What a mess.

Ra, good to see you! Glad your new laptop came and soon you'll be up to speed again! Crow finally got his new laptop yesterday! He is setting it up now. I don't know how to do any of that stuff. It's like a foreign language to me. I'd have to pay someone to do it for me if Crow wasn't around! Robin says she's  thinking about a trip to Alaska for her birthday in Sept! I don't know where she gets this loving snow and cold places from...Crow and I detest cold and snow! Lol! So far this winter, knock on wood, we have only had a couple inches total of snowfall. Hoping it stays that way!

Lupe, hoping your bil and his wife have an easy transition into their new home. It's good that their kids are there. Must be very hard on all of them. You surely do love tennis!

Jo, hoping Joan is having a nice day!

good morning everyone- tennis is over just now- Dominic Thiem  will play Novak Djokovic in the final Sunday morning.

I am caught up on posts I think. A belated happy birthday to Deb. My bil had a birthday while in the hospital and the nurses got him a small cake. Then his family brought one also. Then he was discharged on Wednesday and went to the same facility as his wife just in the nursing section. He still has drains in that need care. My niece called last night and said her mother is adjusting quite well- has made friends. Good news.

Hubby's sister had her first appointment with oncologist which took forever. Apparently her biopsy results weren't forwarded and they requested them at 8 AM. Our appointment was at 11- yeesh. The doctor was the same one she had in 2007 for her other cancer. PET scan is scheduled for next Friday and we'll see the doctor on the same day. It will be a long day but at least we'll get a plan made.

Hawkeye basketball team lost to Maryland last night- bummer.
Looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday and Chiefs win!!! cal- love your beach picture!lol

Nora- I actually went to bed early last night and slept 8 hours after a 2 hour nap yesterday afternoon. A first for me. I will get up by 2:30 the next 2 mornings for the final tennis matches.

ra- new electronics-Aargh!! I know what you mean!lol

rues- we still have a lot of snow on the ground; 2 days ago our road was muddy but it wasn't sunny and not above freezing. Hw can that be?

I better get a move on. I should get to spin this morning- no classes for me the last 2 weeks.
Have a great day jewelies!
