Internet bird nest revelations

http://arstechnica.com/science/2016/03/the-ugly-truth-behind-those-cute-baby-bird-internet-memes/

Yankee - I had posted a similar article in the "science" thread today, but there the author's of the research said the baby birds were tossed out of the nest because the adults had laid more eggs than they could raise. Hmmm. After reading it, I thought one of the best things the birds were doing for the alligators was attracting raccoons and wondered why that wasn't even mentioned. Too lazy to read the research paper, so I'll never know!  ;)
