Thanks for posting this update, T40.  I read about the egg in a couple of reports the last day or so... maybe yesterday? ... LOL...  not sure. 

Wisdom is an exquisite bird!  What a pair!  What a story!  And that's an incredible photo!  It all makes me catch my breath.   :)

The Redding Eagles have pulled a fast one on their fans and built an alternate nest. I feel for them! The Friends of the Redding Eagles had just raised $4,000 to upgrade the nest cam and now this happens. Checked their Facebook page and they've done this before. Heartbreakers!

The same thing happened here a few years ago when we had bought a new camera & TB installed it & then the Eagles built a new nest one tree over!
Mother Nature always knows best! That old nest had an unstable support branch that soon broke off & that nest eventually fell apart. So perhaps something didn't feel safe about their old nest?
Cottonwood Trees are famous for losing large limbs & that is their tree of choice in this area!
It will be more work for our Ground Crew to keep you all filled in this season, but we will do our best! We may need to recruit a few of you to help us out!
Kit & I took several photos & videos of them working on the new nest this morning & we'll post them soon!
Stay positive folks, they are both healthy & they are still close by so we can keep tabs on them!
