Piper likes all visitors!  She greets the aides and they seem to like her!  She is really a special girl!  🥲🥹
She should have been turned over to a rescue and not dumped at the shelter!  So glad they had not put her down.   We just came in and the air actually felt cool.  Out of the ne.

Baz does sound a lot better today!  Hi, Baz!
Love the col cats Lani has been posting and the one from Phyllis this am!
Eagles sure had a nice spread today,  when is your mothers surgery?
Will turn in!

((Lani))
Pics later... It will be a long day, late night tomorrow, but will heed advice and be safe. We were almost here Thursday when a charger with blacked out plates denied my right of way when he was entering the freeway. I had to quickly change lanes. Luckily there was nothing to our left.

Thank you Lani for posting for Lori - Thoughts & prayers for your Grandma in that she is as comfortable as is possible, and that the other family members can come together and show some peace & harmony.

Tig - smart to take your bag for the breakfast included with your stay!

LisaG - Hubby said that when you turn 'Google Maps' on your phone, (as we do when we need directions), it will let you know when there is a speed trap up ahead and if there is a slow down in traffic!

Tsk - My sis did not make it today after all.  My Mom came alone.  We had a wonderful visit by ourselves, although hubby was nearby working on the new shed. :)

Karen - Glad that Piper went out before the thunderstorm!  My Mom's surgery is scheduled for 7/28.

Kb - Wow that pic out of Darwin, MN tells the smoke status. :(

Oldguy - Oh no, smoke in your area now  :(

Bazi - Like your good night post  :)

Tig - Glad you are so alert when driving - you never do what the other driver is going to do. :o ::)

Safe travels for all Beakers.

Eagles, glad to hear your sister is doing better and able to join you, your mom and Kris today. Appetizer plate sounds yummy. Milo isn't limping as much today. And he's become more talkative... oops I just read your post, and your sister wasn't able to come. Sounds like you and your mom had a good visit  ;D.

T40 thanks for videos...  smart duck  ;D ... the cat nodding their heads to the beat. LOL! little girl and her security guards  :-*... I wonder if anyone got hurt from that fireworks disaster!  :o

Tig, great idea to have something to nibble on early the next day...  thank goodness you are an alert driver.... drivers here are crazy.  :(

Tsk, it was 105 today.  :P ... and DQ carmel sundaes were on the menu tonight.  ;D

Karen, so far Milo seems to be doing much better. It's a relief not to see him limping. He still licking his fur, though not as often.... Piper seems to have settled in, I'm so happy for you.  :-*

Good night!

Karen glad you have such a good companion in Piper and that she made it outside before the storm

A mini update on GSB nest/cam
*Edited*

FYI, the GSB camera is back live this afternoon.  Several hazy views from about 3:00 to 5:30 PM.  The haze is likely from Canadian wildfire smoke, predicted to be pretty heavy this weekend over many US states.  No peregrines in sight. Few people also on the riverboat or at the locks.
