Beautiful mandevilla just delivered from Bachmans.....sister!

After this heat wave is over and it gets so cold at night in the coming days, I'll put her out on my top deck so I can see her. May have to replant her in a very large clay container as well?

Thank you all for my Birthday wishes.

Yes, I am without car until the end of the week most likely. I could have rented one or used Uber if needed...It's a short time as only the same functional part as before this time. Last time I had lots of non engine related fixes as well.

Lori - you either have a great memory, most likely, or write things down like I do, but yes thank you apple fritters are my fave...and of course puppies and flowers....you have me wired.
thank you.

And of course the Jeep pics...she's not unreliable at all. Just the same problem going undiagnosed for the last oh half year or so. Other than that in the 23 years I've owned her no issues what so ever with her engine. Just the typical tire, battery and brake replacements as needed over time.

the only unreliable thing I can think of is the possibility that as mechanics retire the new ones don't know how to fix a geriatric patients....same goes for all the other professions imho!  Example: I won't see a health care provider younger than 40....

Off to lunch with ssrl after Chris gets a haircut. Glad I was home to bring the mandevilla inside.

LORI   Apple fritter pull apart bread.  Would I love a piece of that warmed with butter  LOL

LISA   Tim is flat on his back with a terrible cold and cough.  Just picked up some antibiotics for him on my way home from a yearly lunch with a friend.  Trying to stay away from him and spraying Lysol a couple times in areas he goes.

KB  Sounds like a nice b-day with Mandevilla and lunch out!

LANI   Potoo is so cute  ;D   That time with Aly went too fast.  :o  Tim isn't going anywhere today - terrible cold.

TIG   I'll take whatever posts you want to do!!!  I'd be grateful  ;D

oldguy - Yikes, on the growing MN wildfires.

tsk - Oh no, did Tim catch something while getting his procedure done?  Glad you got some antibiotics for him.  Hope he feels better soon!  LOL, I can see you Lysoling behind him!  You take care of yourself, too!

tig - I am like Phyl, will enjoy whatever you want to share, and you do what is easiest for you.

Lani - Seems like Aly just got here, and she is already leaving. Potoo, too cute shaking off the rain.

kb - Hope you had a great lunch with ssrl, and pretty plant your sis sent you.

Good night, everyone  :)

Howdy Beakers!

My migraine was gone when I woke up yesterday. Yay! Oh, and the very old Zofran Rx I used worked well for the nausea I had, thankfully. So I kept my dental appt yesterday afternoon to get my crown re-cemented, that came off Friday night. Yay!

Phyl, and Tig, hope knee treatments bring improvement for both of you.

Lisa, the flooding in western Maryland (and nearby places) has been so horrible and sad. I hope your area hasn't had any bad flooding.

TSK, I hope Tim is better soon. Did you give him "The Look" for not following doctor's rules? Or maybe a real piece of your mind? Glad the procedure went well, and I hope he gets great results from that. Hope his respiratory illness is short-lived.

Lani, I just love that sweet-looking Potoo at TRR! Glad you and Aly got to pamper yourselves a bit with a fun and relaxing "girls outing" before she left.

OG, garden center time is wild!

BL, hope the fish are biting while y'all are grooving at the lake.

Clynn, Mad City. LOL, good name.

SSRL, nice you took KB out for a b'day lunch!!

Karen, I hope Mickey got to have a late morning to recover some from her travel day. So glad she is there for a visit, and I bet you are having a great gabfest catching up with each other in person. I bet Piper is having fun with "the girls" too!

Puff, it's a small world. You and Karen lived near each other at one time! Andy Griffith would say, "Don't that just beat all."

Lori, warm apple fritters! Oh gawd!!

Guess what. I'm starving! Going to find grub.

Good night, Beakers. Peace. SED.

this is where we had lunch today.
Outside right under those umbrellas!
Only a hop, skip,, and a jump away from my house....

Baz.....esp. for you as you are hungry again!....LOL

Thanks Oldguy, what a lovely garden picture.

Andrew just dropped a yard and a half of soil in my driveway for my back yard.

I called him and said: "hey you are going to need to tarp it or I'll have a muddy driveway tomorrow"
He said: yup I'll be back in the early morning..

Er um it's supposed to rain by 7am....

As they say: We shall see....oh well it's not on me. He'll have to move wet soil down a hill and a ways I'm thinkin.

Thanks oldguy for the wildfire updates....We are supposed to get rain tomorrow and Friday.
Sorely needed here but not sure how much they'll get up there to help them out. Hope so.
So sad.

LISA   No he felt a cold coming on for about 3-4 days before the ablation.  But wasn't cough or sneezing like he is today which would be day 7 or so - the cold is peaking.  I walk out of a room when he comes in and then go back and spray when he walks out.  LOL  I was out to lunch today with a friend and outside most of the other time.  Set out chicken soup for him to eat up and my leftovers from lunch if he was hungry.
I'm heading to Milw tomorrow to meet up with my Milw bro and wife and Green Bay bro and wife for lunch.

Sure are some delicious desserts posted today.  ;D

BAZI   YAY  the world is anew today.  So happy you are feeling better..   " Don't that just beat all"  LOL

KB   What did you have on that delicious looking menu!!!  We ate outdoors as well today.  What a relief.
