Well, it's not a wiring issue. Just got off the phone. Tim, my mechanic, is driving it around right now. Can't get her to stall. They also can't be sure it's one of the 3 modules they suspect until she does stall. Andrew did say if I drove her mid week and she did stall to drive it to the shop and they can check and see if an error code is saved with their scanner. In older cars it might not save "the issue"

Tsk - oh I did have an exterminator examine my garage and he left 4-5 mouse traps in there. Until I hired a contractor to fix the bottom of the garage door to be flush with the ground. After that no mice in the traps.

So they will keep her a few more days and may strike out?.....I may have to find a different mechanic?.....or?

I'm currently trying to hunt down the head owner of the dealerships I bought her from in 2002. He would know of a mechanic "in the know" of these kinds of issues me thinks. I knew him personally. I am frustrated.

Good Morning Beakers

Catching up this morning....I see I am a few pages behind.

tig - Hope you enjoyed that birthday cake for breakfast yesterday.  Sorry about your pain.

karen - Thanks, and thanks for letting me know about clynn!

Lani - Thanks  :D  Pretty pic from karen of the 2F sloth.  Congrats to Olivia on Best All Around in Hawaii State Gymnastic Championship!!

BL - I believe it about an early allergy season.  Hubby already had a lil flare up, while I was away down South.

kb - Glad you got a lil walk in with Ollie, even if it was a lil chilly.

tsk - The birthday lunch was nice.  I got my favorite combo meal...tacos and chicken flautas.  The hatch seems to be progressing from the latest views, just taking a long time.

clynn - Pretty colorful pics yesterday afternoon.  Glad to hear that Erin got you all fixed up!  Wow, that is alot of Sandie's in ND!  Aww, NEFL.

baz - Thank you!  ;D

Puff - Wowza, that is alot of emails....I get frantic when mine build up during the day, and most of it is junk mail in my inbox.

Phyl - Did you find the cougar link I posted for karen?  Oops, reading further, I see you found it.  Thanks for the 365.

Good morning Beakers!
Hello Eagles4, Lisa, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Lindy, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Phyl, pretty morning pics.... sweet Common Kestral in today's nature video.... Thanks for the Cornell newsletter.

Hi Kb

Lisa, sounds like a delicious meal! We're having tacos today.

Clynn, Love Snoopy and the gang! Very bright and colorful, perfect for a Monday morning.  ;D ... good idea about asking Lori. I wonder if my niece-in-law has a lock on it for family and friends only... anyway, thanks for the help  :-* ... no worries. I'll deal with this off the forum... looks like there's two birds in the raptor/cactus pic. If it's an osprey there better be a nice lake near by. It is an amazing size nest.

Tsk, a June wait would be too long for me to be able to play with a new pc. LOL!

Karen, Thanks for acknowledging our sweet Olivia. I won't try posting reels again. LOL!  I had to laugh when I saw your comment to Clynn about the osprey. My exact same thought, as my eyes were searching for water!!!  ;D .. the Colorado St/Maryland game was a win at the buzzer and by one point!!! What a great game! Now, I need to pick out my next favorite for the Sweet 16! I'm already looking forward to football season!  8)

karen/Lani, found this article:  https://tucsonbirds.org/bird_profile/osprey/?ref=tas

Sea Eagles in Arizona? Yes, arid Southeast Arizona does indeed have habitat for the fish eating Osprey. This striking, long-winged raptor with a stark white and brown body, dark face mask, and intense yellow eyes breeds in North America, Europe, and Asia, and then winters in subtropical and tropical regions. Most sightings near Tucson occur in our cooler months and during migration—birds are usually seen at Patagonia Lake, Lakeside Park, and other larger water bodies.

Lani, what a sweet picture of Mom GLG and her little girl! I had to make my Pinterest board of My Grandchildren private, Erin saw a couple of pictures of Bella that someone posted on FB with a caption. They were taken with my family room plainly in the background! It wasn't anything bad but no one needs to take pictures of others and post them on FB!

Lisa, the DNN hatch sure is taking a long time! I hope everything is okay! Now, Erin. Sydney and Sydney's Mom post pictures of the kids on FB all the time. I don't post anything on FB except animal and bird causes!

NEFL - Bodie and Stormy! I don't know which is which, but they look to be about the same age?  Maybe Stormy was from a more southern Florida nest and fledged early?

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

PHYL   Thanks for nest watch digest annual report.  What would we do without these agencies.

KB   Good luck with your search.

LANI   That little sky call made me smile.  Looked like it was fluffing and primping ahead of time to give us the best that could be mustered.  LOL   I know - my niece and I already set for the First Friday in June.  She is on a family vacation now so won't let her know I got the new computer until mid April  LOL  We'll see.

CLYNN  Good research!!! on desert osprey.  I've never posted on FB.....Most I've done is comment or "like"

Forgot btw:
right clicking on a pic on a macbook doesn't give you an opportunity to find out about a picture. Maybe just microsoft?

Furthermore: google lens is an app......before you can use it. I'll have to ask Chris if it's worth it to download.

So: I may have to rely on all of you for picture identification, LOL

KB, that right-clicking on a photo thing is a Windows thing. Google Lens is built in as part of the google chrome browser running in Windows - not a separate app that needs to be downloaded in that environment. Of course Mac has its own apps and options and browser considerations. I assume you're using the Safari browser that's the default browser on Mac and most IOS devices. Don't know if you might want to download the google chrome browser on your mac, or if you can, or if you would have any desire to use it for its sometimes different abilities... just adding info here as a side note.

Update: I have been posting as I have been in catch-up mode reading the posts here since I last posted yesterday. I see now you have already gotten around to this. Glad you have that option.  LOL, I'm now going back to finishing reading previous evening/night's posts, and today's posts up till now.
  ;) :D

BL - He lives in the Iowa City area - not sure of the details on the ID of rodent, but Son in law told us that it was a chipmunk.  I have not heard of chipmunks causing this kind of damage before.

OG, same thing happened to my neighbor's car - in NC - squirrel was the likely culprit his mechanic said - we have hoards of them - he had electronic gremlins pop up and it turned out some of his wiring was chewed on.

BL, tell that bear to get his own car!

...
Baz, I absolutely understand college rivalries. Yes, I love bears and I do love the color green... LOL! Houston is one of those I can't cheer for too.. I don't like the coach. I couldn't cheer for St. John because of the coach. LOL! The Colorado St - Maryland game was a great game! A last sec win for Maryland...

...

Lani, I knowhutumean!!  ;D I was glad St. John's lost because I can't stand anything about that coach, and would never pull for his team, no matter what! I was sad when he was offered that position! Was hoping he wouldn't get hired back into college basketball anywhere after he got fired at Louisville (not for losing).   8)

Karen and Lani, that's funny about Baylor. I get it! I can't pull for Maryland - because of much of their history with a former coach when they were still part of the ACC. LOL! We all have our druthers based on rivalries and dislikes. That's part of what makes March Madness so fun.  :D

KB, ugh, frustrating! This link, below, is for a somewhat similar problem with various different model years/engines, etc of Jeep Grand Cherokees having  intermittent stalling issues. You might want to scroll through and see if any match yours as far as year, engine size, description of issue, etc. - or maybe submit a question... I have never used this site and don't know anything about it. I just saw it pop up when I did a quick google, and I don't know if you have already done the same. Anyway, you might browse through it and maybe get some ideas to ask your mechanic about - or to check on elsewhere... See link below...

Just a thought:

BL How on earth did a grizzly eat your brake lines??

Tsk AK Grizzly Bear have acquired a taste/smell for almost all types of petroleum products unfortunately. They think it began when oil started flowing through the pipeline. There were drips and leaks here and there and they liked the warm sweet smell of the crude oil.

So human vehicles have become of interest to some of them. I had a very lifted pick-up truck and had just had it to a jiffy lube and had everything on the underside greased up as it was very wise to do up there with the cold temps. One must have gotten to rooting around under there for some grease Pâté one night and clawed off/broke a brake line. Next morning off I go to work down the long driveway and hit the breaks at the 1st bend, um yeah no breaks, nada.
Into a very high snow drift was the best soft landing option. I was not the only one to have this happen to up there, doesn't happen often but it does happen.   ::)

Thanks, baz - yes my son was on that or similar chat all morning with a mechanic. Said to check the idle air control valve and throttle body for carbon build up....I immediately called my mechanic and he will check. Luckily for me they are open to hearing ideas from me and do follow up. And, Chris is feverishly contacting mechanics online.

Haven't heard from them back yet today, but they can keep her for now 2 more days at least. My intuition tells me it's a "finding the problem" issue, not a fixing issue. We shall see as they say. My guess if they find it it will be a not costly issue to fix.

I had a childhood friend....pick me up to run some errands today so now I don't need a vehicle till Thursday. Ollie nail trim....I can reschedule, or pick her up, use her and bring her back.

shhh, don't encourage my son. He'd like a newer car as they have upgraded music systems. Not fully understanding that would greatly impair his inheritance to last long enough for him. Although eventually he will need one.

This is the only way I think anymore, as I'm not a spring chicken, and he can't work.

BL- tks for the bit of info on bears and their attraction to  crude oil. Just never would have thought.  That's a scary happening--brakes w/o fluid in the lines.

{{{KB}}}- without a doubt  frustrating vehicle issues. Sounds like a good suggestion from Bazi

Lisa/CLynn  Yes, the DNN hatch seems to be  taking a long time.  I hope everything is well  in side those egglets.

CLynn- I thought   maybe  that was the deal with NEFL - Bodie and Storm , Likr you I can't tell which one is which However I think they lookabout the same age too.

Lani-tks for the Royal Report on  SSTrig' and Mom GLG ---young SSTrig  a cute   sky call :-*

Gotta run Jim says dinner's ready.  And, Tomorrow is a visit to  Dr. Martin's office and Amy Jean.  Arggghhh!   Jim will come for me ---we'll get going for a 'late afternoon appt. Long story why the visit might not be a good one.

Good Evening / Good Night Beakers...SEDs all.
