Have a fun day, Lisa

Lani - I watched the undocking last night too. At least as long as I could. Basically when they broke and said they'd be back in an hour I crashed so missed the actual undocking but watched for over an hour, the preparation.
Yes, Godspeed. I look forward to the splashdown this afternoon.

Loved the video of the Rim.....did you notice the guy was from Minnesota?

Good Morning Beakers

tsk & baz - I asked Jeff, he said he has seen Play Misty for Me. He loves Clint Eastwood movies.

BL - Glad you enjoyed your pint and shot.  :D

karen - Thank you.  I saw Phyl's cuppa shamrocks.  There was lots of cute cuppa's on Pinterest for St. Paddy's Day.  :)

Phyl - I LOVE that shamrocks lighted garland.  Your dinner sounded delicious.  I think Jeff would have liked that better than the corned beef and cabbage I made. Pretty flowers this morning.  I am ready for Spring.  Thanks for the 365.

Lani - Yes, Mother Goose laid her 6th egg yesterday after 5:45CT.  Hope its a lucky one to make the jump!

clynn - LOL, yes, the pantree needs a good cleaning at BB!  Let's go....and people watch  ;D  I sometimes see The Temple Bar Pub on Earth Cam...I people watch there...LOL  Hope Bella is feeling a lil better today.

oldguy - Your fried rice sounds good.

kb - My favorite pup!  I had a red one.

Thank you, Beakers for the birthday wishes.   :)

Phyl, love your springy flowers this morning! We are all getting Spring Fever!

Lisa, I think we all forgot about N1!  We missed 5 egg appearances! I hope Mother and Father Goose have a good season!  When I was working at the downtown bank in Springfield, my friend and I would sit on the ledge in front of the Old Capital and watch all the people who worked downtown. Sometimes we would just look at each other and roll our eyes...

oldguy, haven't finished watching the re-building of the Clinchfield Railroad, wow, what an undertaking! Looks like whatever was built under the tracks held up, at least in the part I have seen. Right on the edge!

Lori, cute Bandit kitty and angel food cake for Lisa!

Phyl, love the sounds of the cranes in the 365!

tsk, don't we all get frustrated by the POOF posts!  Dagnabit!

Amazing Nature!

TIG   Guinness for me - could not get past the smell of it - dirty dish rag  :o ::)   Drank Harp when there...LOL

KAREN   Piper has learned all the tricks  ;) ;)

PHYL  I actually prefer a Reuben to the dinner of corned beef.  Like to order it out every now and then.

BL   Sounds like a good St Paddy's day for you and Pip  ;D

BAZI   Feel better knowing your neighbor has family around to be there for him.  Will be a tough road for a while.

LANI   Yes, I now have a better sense of why firewise is so important. :)

CLYNN   Love our new title  LOL      My neighbor's green leaves on their daffodils are a good 3 " above ground now.  ;D   (((BELLA)))     Sorry to hear what your cousin is having to go through in the absence of her Mom.  Pray she will find her way.
Harley - a whopping 17#    Lulu a scant 9.3#  ( down from 10)      Yes, they need to clean the frig at Big Bear.. ::)  Unusual photo of Mama giraffe and baby.

PUFF   You can't miss the noise should you be lucky enough to have a flock fly over the house as it has happened once when I heard them.

OLDGUY   Thanks for that ineresting history of your heritage.  Your Mom at 17 as a live-in nanny/cook etc fascinates me.  She probably had that job until she married your Dad??     This railroad rebuilding series is phenominal.  These engineers are geniuses.  I have no idea how you even start a project like that.  " The patience of Job"   :o :o

Happy Bird Day Lisa!

I did a gentle pool workout and spent 15 minutes in the hot tub this morning. It really helped.

Royal Albatross update  :-*
Since hatching at 286g on the 28th of January, the Royalcam chick at Signal Station Flat has grown to 4.1kg on day 49 (Tuesday 18h of March). This is a 1.1 kg increase on last week's weight and does not include the feed from dad, RLK/A85 at 2.30 pm. Today’s weight is 500g above average for a female.

Heat and gular fluttering
During warm days birds keep their body temperature down by moving the thin skin on the throat. This is called gular fluttering. We only turn on irrigation for chicks in the post-guard stage if the heat is extreme. A parent returning from the ocean can also feel the heat from the land more readily than one that has been on the nest for a while. They soon adjust, however.

When we do irrigate, each nest is set up with an individual so that the wind direction directs the mist to the birds. mist spray which needs to be situated.

Oldguy, Thank you for sharing your family heritage and history... my mom's first job at age 15 was a full time nanny to a family with 5 children from San Francisco. The NASA address for Crew-9 that I have listed is almost exact  https://www.nasa.gov/live    ?

On air about 3:45, splashdown anticipated 4:45   But I didn't find any notice on if that's CDT.

Anyone have other info, more definite?

Puff, thanks.

I found this from today at Space.com - splashdown expected around 5:57PM, Eastern time - and some additional "how to watch" info in that link, also:
