Phyl, love your abstract birds this morning!  Praying for a good report Wednesday!  Hang in there!  Time flies except when you're waiting...  The beaver and the melting ice way up north, a sure sign of Spring creeping in!  Good news from FSV!

Sauces Nest this morning!

Lisa, you are getting the Spring fever too! We are headed for 56 today, can't believe it might be warmer here than in MD! The B&B cats will be happy!

tsk, the B&P birthdays are tomorrow? Then I will repeat tomorrow, can't have enough Happys!

Lori, ooh, the German Chocolate cake!

Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge  · Iowa - Exciting news! An otter was spotted in Walnut Creek today!🦦 The beavers are coming out for Spring!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

got that walk in just fine. Happy I wore my winter coat and ear muffs though due to wind gusts blowing off some snow piles along the boulevards.

Meteorologist Paul Douglas writes:
A week ago today the metro high was -2F with windchills in the -30s. Today: low 50s, typical for early April. It will feel about 85-90 degrees warmer than it did a week ago

that's some adjustment yes.

Chris is out in the driveway trying to help Dennis with his new car's computer. Dennis is 89...apparently their pickup truck also a Chevy went to the grave yard after if I recall not too many years.
But, i compare to my now 25 yr old Jeep Grand Cherokee with only 66,000 miles on it.

Chris hasn't worked a computer screen in a new car however. He's probably helpful nonetheless and if nothing else will learn something.

Nice summer spring flowers this morning, bakers, and fantastic posts for BL and PIP!  I have a great two day celebration and enjoy the cakes posted here you could have one today and another tomorrow and then for the puppy maybe a little frosting from the German chocolate, the white, coconut part here’s to many more trips around the world if not all the  whole way around, at least around part of the world, I know You will not sit still  for long!
Temps Today will be in the mid 60s but looking out the window at the gray skies makes me think of the Midwest just before it snows way too warm for that here but we may have a little rain we’re getting a lot of that and it’s supposed to be April showers that were a long way away from that

Prayers for Pope Francis
And 15 was Backe bringing sticks to the nest this morning and F 23 testing the area out sleeping in it or at least rest I get it shortly after I started watching they flew off so time will still tell if we’re going to see any little Baby birdies.

Thanks for all the morning posts and Lori. It’s great to see you posting going to do a few chores and maybe be back later

tsk After an hour sitting in my driveway with Dennis Chris said, no problem figuring it out. Problem is the following: Dennis doesn't have a smart phone so that doesn't allow him to use much of the computer screen. GPS and other stuff.

Chris also wondered how much Dennis retained.

Chris taught him how to turn on the air/heat, and most of the other stuff......but,??????

Pip and I want to thank all of you Beakers for the lovely B-Day wishes and B-Day treats !   8)   ;D

I think we both gained 20 lbs just by looking at all of the goodies !   :)

I'm usually 2 yrs older than Pip, except for today when I'm 3 yrs older for almost exactly 24 hrs.
~ Pip never lets my B-day go by without reminding me of this trivia ~   ;)
As both of us were born in the 3 am Hour.
Both Mom's not happy about that hour. Sorry Moms.  :-* :-* :-*

I won't get into our actual ages here in the Beak, but we still "boogie" like we're in our 40's ??, unfortunately our joints are starting to feel much older than we are.
Gravity and many foot miles on both of our "chassis" so what are you going to do ?   :-\

CLYNN - I have BL's b-day as today and Pip's is tomorrow.

Tsk your master calendar is correct.  :-*

clynn - Now that's a BL and Pip birthday cake  ;D ;D  The B&B kitties have been enjoying this gorgeous day.  They have been lounging in the sun.  Lil Spotty came up to the backdoor while Misty and Bandit were sunning.  He was face to face with Misty, Bandit hissed at him.  ::)

kb - Glad to hear that Ollie is back to his ol' self.

Phyl - Great cake too for BL and Pip

tig - Pool temp sounds wonderful.

Lani - Your morning pic is a hoot!

karen - LOL, your Peanuts funny.

tsk - That would be me too, more chatter and less crocheting.

baz and oldguy - Afternoon  :D

OMG Roberta Flack died today....don't even get me started on how I felt about a boyfriend break up while this song of hers was playing:

https://x.com/i/status/1894053058859917457
The first time ever I saw your face.

Rest in peace to Roberta Flack. Her cover of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” is one of the most beautiful songs in pop history. Clint Eastwood played the entire 5 minutes+ in an extraordinarily touching scene in “Play Misty For Me.”

However, when someone makes it to 88 I feel they lived a good long life.....RIP Roberta.
