Good Morning Beakers!

Missed Lani's good night! And Phyl's Good Morning, hope we hear from her today!

karen, we had our last 'warmer' day (47) for at least a couple of weeks. Colder days on the horizon!

tig, we got Mom one of those ultra light 3 wheeled walkers last year, after we made sure she could get it in and out of the car by herself. I think she has used it a couple of times. is that similar to what you have?  Wow on Camper trying a totally different food! Now to see if he will go there again!

paulie, nice to see you in the Beak!

tsk, your busy time at the church is almost here! I remember how busy it was when I was taking the classes so that Ed and could get married in the Catholic church (he was already Catholic, I was Protestant). A lot was going on at Chruch of the Little Flower as it got closer to Easter Sunday!

baz, I had pond down first, then changed it to bog! Now I will surely remember Swampy/Pond! Your dinner sounds good, especially with the glash! Is a lobster cake like a crab cake?  We got a bit of freezing rain, not much and it was gone by late morning. The sun was up all morning!

Lisa, I took a few cake decorating classes years ago, I loved making and decorating birthday cakes for the kids! Have you ever taken basket weaving? That was my favorite!  One thing, Pinterest Fails are still tasty!

Lani, what a beautiful picture of Mom GLG and her new chick! They are such a pure white!  I would not have guessed that you were a Stephen King fan! I have every one of his books in hard cover. I had joined a book club years ago, now I get the new ones from Sam's. I am a little behind in getting them read though. The Shining is the one that got me hooked!

Built from the ground up, pour by pour, and block by block. The Hoover Dam took 5 years to build by the Bureau of Reclamation. Even though the task ahead was daunting, construction was completed 2 years ahead of schedule. Here we see the first forms on the ground floor of the dam.

Good Morning Beakers

baz - Thanks for the heads up on my upcoming weather.  Jeff will make sure the B&B kitties are warm, well fed.  Mmmm, your dinner sounds delicious.

tig - Camper look very happy with his Ramen, and the Bao's look delish!

tsk - A pair of geese recently landed on N2B this week.  They were there for a short time, then flew off to the retention pond. LOL, the penguin walk.  I checked Phyl's profile she last logged in at 2:30am.  Hopefully, she is reading the forum and knowing how worried we all are about her.

kb - Hope that European model is right.

karen - I think the cookies were a Pinterest fail.  But, it was a fun night of laughing at how our cookies were coming along.

clynn - You are right, I missed Lani's good night post too!  LOL, no on the basket weaving classes.  I did take ceramic classes when I was a kid.

I wanted to eat the cookies before the decorating even begun, as they smelled so good!
Here is what we started with ....

And, here is my finished box.....

Lisa, your cookies are very cute! I would eat any one of them! I also took several ceramics classes! On the basket weaving, Ed's Mom and I took 4 classes together. The fourth class was a big egg basket Picture of an egg basket below). About halfway through she pushed it across the table to me and said I could have it! Basket weaving isn't for crazy people, it makes crazy people!

CLYNN  Love those shovels - You find the cutest crafty things   ;D  The ministry I run with my friend Julie is preparing for the 6 week Lenten food collection.  We deliver to various food pantries the Monday after each weekend of Lent.  Lots of busy prep work.  LOL
The Stephan King movie Misery with Kathy Bates - one of my all time favorite actors - was a good one as well.
Hoover Dam pics - hard to believe.  My Dad took a cane chair weaving class.  ;) ;)  Mom had a couple for him to repair .  I have one  ;)
By the looks of that egg basket the craft looks very hard to do. :o

LISA  I love red heart cups  LOLOL.  Thanks for verifying I wasn't crazy with the geese sighting  LOL   I am TRULY impressed with your decorating efforts!!!  For the first time you did great.  I bet you had all the right tools to do that as well.

TIG  Looks good.  I've not seen one like that.

LANI   LOLOL  Love the AM photo  ;D  Hope you feel better today.

tsk, Thank you!  The class was $40, and everything was provided.  The cookies, royal icing, scissors to snip the icing bags, a lil tool to smooth out the icing, and a lil practice sheet before you start.

;D Lisa, You can go into the bakery business now and feature decorated cookies. The only problem is usually they use sugar cookies and I like peanut butter and chocolate chips. Oh well can’t have everything.
I have been thinking about Phyl and seem to remember her saying that sitting at her desk typing on the computer was not good for her knee. In fact, I think she mentioned that it made things a lot worse. She may have been told by her doctor that she can’t really do that yet and that is perhaps why she picks in to see what’s going on but has not been typing fill you might have to get the computer to fit on your lap and then hit the talk button instead of trying to type then you can at least come on and say all is well.   I am hoping that is the case.

LISA   So you got to keep the tools - icing bags etc?  Fun time.  I would enjoy doing that.

So here we go.  My store brand dozen eggs $7.99 today ( those were the cheapest.) Limit 2.  Guess I won't need eggs for awhile.  ::) ::)

I've been there twice only for a few days each time, but never in the winter time .. thanks for the itch, like I need another one.       ;)

Tsk. I don’t know what size eggs you bought but I just checked Publix and they have a dozen eggs large free range Nellies brand and they are four dollars and something a dozen. They go all the way to 6.53 dozen and the Publix brand but they’re not free range or cage free. I guess that’s what they say.  Our prices are cheaper this week than last week or the week before I don’t know what the differences but it is interesting. I heard today that chicken Place is like KFC and etc. are all having difficulty as they are unable to get the chickens they need to fry, so I guess it’s not only eggs.  I don’t think there was a limit on the number of eggs we could buy but I do know that they had 18 eggs in a carton for $8.63. I think I don’t use that many eggs.

Hi Clynn, Aww Thank you. I hope you pop into Cheers from time to time too.  I bet you're as ready for Spring as I am. And gardening and pretty flowers!!

BL, What do the numbers 1 2 3 mean above the pine trees? And btw no Elk or herds were seen last Autumn. Not one. Darn it.

Lani, Good that you're feeling better. I just got over the flu. Nasty! I had flue shot too.

Everyone rest when need be and build up immune system to fight germs. Come on Spring!

I agree with you all and hope Phyl is resting and healing.

Phyl, Hope your resting and healing. Prayers continue.

SED to Beak Room.
----
Came back after posting and seeing karen's post.

Karen,  Interesting about Chicken Place and KFC!! Hadn't thought about that.

Regarding eggs. My husband eats 2 to 3 Jumbo eggs every morning for breakfast. A few weeks ago I paid $10 for one dozen. I'm in PA. Yea I'm going broke.

I usually get 2 dozen for him but got him just 1 dozen that shopping trip. I "suggested" he cut back on the number of eggs per breakfast or there might not be enough.  ;) ::)

Now for everyone that is going to get wintry precipitation events this week ,,    ;)

I always like to think it could get even better outdoor snowfall wise.   8)

If precipitation is going to fall from the sky in the month of February north of the 40th parallel lets just say , and it will, one wants it to be just so cold enough to fall as little kid playground powder.

Just so cold Ice, Sleet, Mix and mud just sucks.

Or just Rain.  :)
