Good Morning Beakers

BL - Gorgeous stone work on the Admin Bldg.

karen - Peanuts saying, so very true!  You had some warm temps yesterday, send some my way!  :D

Lani - I tried to count those geese, probably over 100 there.  Yes, Mother Goose should be arriving soon. If I remember correctly, I think she arrived to nest around mid-Feb last season. Jeff loves those old movies like, The Fog, Invasion of Body Snatchers, Coma.

tsk - Pretty morning greeting!

((Phyl)) - Hope all went ok at appointment.

clynn - We have lots of geese visitors on the cornfields around here.  :)

kb, tig, oldguy, Puff, and all - Morning  :)

2 more healthy ones nearby but not as close as yesterday.

Ice/graupel fell last night. Too slippery on driveway even with yaktrax on to shovel or sweep. I tried and poured more ice bite down as best I could where I could reach.

Big big storm coming here Tomorrow night into Saturday so hoping between now and then to get the ice off before the snow falls.

I hear VA and Maryland areas etc. are getting ice too.....

No won't be walking today Ollie.

Hi Tsk, beautiful morning post!  ;D

Clynn, Love today's Chicken theme!  ;D .. Sadie is constantly sniffing the grounds when walking, hiking. She has a fantastic sense of smell and hearing. After all these years of living in AZ I've learned to #ID the prints left on the ground and the scat (fecal dropping) left on the ground.... Coyotes will leave their scat on our driveway or sidewalk to front door. They let us know it's their territory. And that makes Sadie furious! ... I hope the weather doesn't get dangerous for all.

Lisa. I can watch the old classic horror movies, but after Jaws and Poltergeist, no more horror movies for me. Also, some of the Stephen King books that they made into movies scared me to bits!!! Lord, I still can't get over Betty Davis in that corn field movie!! LOL!! Or the one with John Ritter and the poor baby. I can't handle horror movies that includes children or animals in their storyline... UGH!! Won't watch and I haven't read a Stephen King book in over 25 years.LOL! ... take care with the icy weather.

Kb, neat picture you captured of the coyotes. Makes me think of some of the nature videos... take care with the icy weather.

some bounce

I took my rollator to the Y today... for stability on the ice in the parking lot and it helped some when trying to get off the machines. I haven't done my weights workouts in a couple of years. I'll need to make some adjustments as my knees don't allow me the strength to get up off the seats. And I dinged my lower leg skin, just a little. Will prolly have a few little bruises tomorrow. The good news is that I went in 15 degrees and 20 mph wind.

tig - Brrr!  Sorry about your dings on your lower legs.  Hope you are not too bruised tomorrow.

Lani - Agree, Royal mama and baby are beautiful.  The icy sidewalk and steps were cleared around noon, but its been a gloomy cold day.

I am off to a cookie decorating class with a former co-worker this evening.  We will get a bite to eat before the class starts.  We were giggling earlier saying our cookies will probably turn out like those Pinterest fails.  ;D ;D ;D

Good night, everyone  :)

Waving to All the Beakers!  :D

Clynn, LOL, Swampy was at the retention pond, not the Bog. Gators don't like the Bog anymore because it's pretty small and very shallow, and has so many fallen trees in it now that they can't "swamp-around" in it well enough. But the Retention Pond is much larger and deeper and gives a gator more swampy-ing around room.  ;) :D  The Canada Geese here are year-round, too. Yep, they don't hurry across the road either. LOL!

Karen, I agree with your Peanuts quote!  :)

Lani, aww, GLG and her chick and morning tea.  :-* :-*  Go Chiefs!  ;D

KB, I saw about your weather, and there is a string of storms coming, one right behind the other, over the next 5 or 6 days. Looks like you'll get a good snow.

Lisa, I wondered if you got that freezing rain. I see more may be coming your way, and looks like some snow too. Several separate winter storms expected to come through that area, one behind the other, in a short period of time, according to The Weather Channel. Your outdoor kitties will be extra happy for shelter and food. Y'all stay warm and safe!

Tig, that's perseverence!

BL, those are huge chunks of stone for those walls. I'm cold looking at it, so I hope there's a rip-roaring fireplace going!

Phyl, are you home? I hope you got some helpful treatment at the doctor yesterday.

Oldguy, is your water back on and all normal again? How is your mother-in-law doing?

I'm hungry! I got up earlier than usual, and only have eaten breakfast with coffee. Heading to the kitchen now to get dinner going early - will bake a lobster cake to have with steamed asparagus and baby carrots, with a glash.
  ;)

Good night, Beakers. Peace. SED.

YUM!

On our return trip from Yellowstone we had lunch at a Japanese cuisine Diners, Drive-ins & Dives favorite in Rapid City, SD https://www.bokujoramen.com/view-menu where Camper discovered Oko or Bao buns, stuffed with yummy pork or chicken or bacon.

I finally found a great place in a neighboring city, Eagan: https://www.kyuramen.com/about
We had the lunch special there today. I had Katsuobushi Pork Ramen, Pork Bao Bun, and Brown Sugar Bubble Milk. Camper had Original Chicken Ramen, Chicken Bao Bun and Amazing Lemonade. We shared a mango crepe dessert.

I'm very impressed. Camper is not one to venture too far from his Latino heritage when it comes to foods. He jokes he is allergic to vegetables. And won't usually try anything that doesn't "look right". He even ate the marinated egg! And some "green stuff" LOL

We were greeted warmly, with humor, and had great customer service. And the food was excellent.

BTW... while I was snow-raking the roof yesterday and looking up... I saw out local Bald Eagle soaring about a block over from our home.

Hugz all

CLYNN  Loved the AM pieces  "Bubbles Coopinghower"  I don't feel it tho  LOLOL  I googled - Sequoias - Amazing photo.   Finished my 5th winter puzzle this afternoon and that will be it for this winter.  Doing lots today getting ready for our Lenten Food drive and other ministry activities.  Will probably head to Verizon tomorrow - For a week now I've been getting 20 spam calls every day.  I could scream.

LISA   Was I mistaken - maybe saw an old pic?  geese are at N2b?  maybe it was an older piece.    I often forget to check dates.  another good cuppa with afghan and hearts  :)  We were slippery this AM too.  I was doing the penguin walk  LOL   You had me at "maybe our cookies will turn out like Pintrist fails"  LOLOLOL   Please post pics - sounds like a fun time!!

LANI   No kidding with coyote scat on your driveway and front walk.  Yikes.

BAZI  Fixed asparagus with meatloaf tonight. I usually steam it too but tried a little saute in olive oil seasoned with lemon pepper and Trader Joes bottle of multiple seasonings - I forget the name at the moment.  He liked it.

TIG   What a day you picked to go to the Y  LOL.  Easy does it.    Fun to do something " out of the box" now and then.  Kudos to Camper  ;D  Glad you took a pic of the bao buns.  They look a little gooey?

Hmm....Paul Douglas ( a meteorologist) posts that the European model for our weather is suggesting more like 3 or so inches!....rather than the 8 inch model. Too fast and not enough gulf moisture.

I'm going with the Europeans on this one ;) ;)

Talons crossed KB... I've still reserved the guys to come on Monday to clear the roof. $$$  :-\

TSK... the buns are soft and best eaten when they're fresh and warm. I'll use my rollator again tomorrow to see if the pool is as warm as it was on Wed.

Phyl, You have all of us waiting to hear what the orthopedic doctor had to say at your appointment. Hopefully you got some good news and that you are OK even though you’re not posting.
Tig, good luck at lunch and nice picture of camper enjoying some non-Hispanic food although it kind of resembles a puffy taco does look good because shuffle with the Rollator. If you have ice on the ground, they can get pretty if he on ice.
Waiting to see Lisa’s cookies to see if it’s in fact, a Pinterest fail. I’m sure they would be good to eat anyway. Piper and I had a busy day and have some activities planned for tomorrow as well at least I do she will be staying at home. Our temperatures will stay in the 80s or highlight high 70s at least through Valentine’s Day at which point they will drop a little bit for the rest of February and March going to get some seeds tomorrow and will be planting them anyway as it takes a very long time to sprout.
Baz, Good sounding dinner tonight. I had to look up a recipe for lobster cake and suppose you can use the recipe for crabcakes if so, desired they sound delicious.
SEDS bakers and take care oh and LANi mama and baby Albies were too sweet for words. Thanks for posting
