Happy Caturday, Beakers!
The error message produced when attempting to access the Beak Room's pp. 223 and 224 indicates the error is on the server side. That means none of us out here in "member" land can "fix" the problem on our side by doing anything like rebooting or clearing cache or cookies. My best guess, without additional details, is there was an indexing issue (or corruption) affecting those pages. Maybe Amy can fix it, and if it's an indexing issue, maybe she can rebuild the index... just a guess. Anyone who wants to see what they posted on those pages can click on their own member name and then click on "show posts," and then you can scroll down to see what you posted. In any case, the fact that clicking on "previous" or "next" sends you to a different thread, instead of the next, or previous, page of the same thread, is what makes me suspect an indexing issue, possibly a corruption of the index for those 2 pages. Did anyone who contacted Amy about the problem get any reply from her yet? I hope she will address it, even if she can't fix it.
My niece and hubby and their little ones, LGN and Baby Bro, lost power yesterday in the storms in the VA/DC area, and said a lot of trees were down in their neighborhood. Luckily they're running on a generator - LGN's needs require 24/7 power. I don't think any trees came down on their property, best I can tell from the scant communication I have gotten on that subject from my LilSis, but I know they are all fine.
Lisa, what about at your place? There were a lot of storm reports all around that area. Also, how did things fare at Bradley's? I hope you all have power, and no property damage.
Lani, my first guess, without any detail info, is there was an indexing issue (possibly a corruption of the data affecting the indexing for those 2 pages) affecting those pages. Odd, but possibly "fixable," if Amy gets time to de-bug the problem.
TSK, which part of that picture is part of your b'day present? The flowers and statuary are all pretty there!
Such awful destruction from all the storms over such a broad area of several states - last I saw, the count was 23 dead (over several states), many more than that were injured. The death toll is expected to rise as search and rescue efforts continue. Over 5,000 buildings were damaged in St. Louis alone. Prayers for all affected by the storms, and as they continue through today and the next couple of days.
I haven't looked to see if The Preakness is still scheduled for today in Baltimore. I don't know how much that event may have been affected by the storm system - not just at the track, but for all the related operations, participants, and those who travel to and from who are needed to make that event happen. I will look it up after I post to see what the news for that is today. I do know the Kentucky Derby winner won't be racing in The Preakness, which eliminates the possibility of a Triple Crown winner this year, rare as it ever is to begin with.
Take care, (((All))) .
For a little comic relief... Here's a related-to-topic jigsaw puzzle "funny" for the puzzlers among us (click it to enlarge it):
