BAZI   My friend in Vancouver Wa has in the past couple years been very proactive in getting linked up with a low vision group in her area .  As she no longer drives now she has access to their "buses" that take her where she needs to go.  I'll have to ask her if she has dry or wet  - I know she does get injections.   Liked your Dad's saying  ;D      LOL  How cute were you!!  Vamping and being just so cool.. ;D

CLYNN   Nice reflection on your grandparents and past times.  Uncle Albert, a proper gentleman.  My prayer every night that Tim goes before I do because he would be laying there right next to ED!!!!!

TIG   Congrats to great grandpa Camper!!!   ;D ;D

Clynn, Mike did notice, and looked worried for his piles of paperwork, and then found all in order.... I'm worried about the water cresting, does that mean your mom continues to have water coming into the lower part of her home? Hoping you'll be able to let us know when you get to your mom's home all is well.... Finn is not here yet, it Louis that has been showing up  :-\.... awww love the Big Bear family.... Thank you for sharing your family stories. Your family must have long time ties to that area of the states.... ...  Wonderful story of Albert Walton, great pic of him. Standing there like that, he looks like its just another day in Illinois.  ;D.  I wanted to know where Bone Gap near Bonpas Creek was, so I googled it those 5 words and your post was right on the top! Take care and  safe travels.  :-*

Phyl, another JB classic nature video.... thank you for the article on the Cicadas... I hope you and Jim had a restful day.

Tsk, I know what you mean I can't do what I use to do in one day.....  I had co-hosting duties for a meeting at our church today. Left early to set up and start coffee, then came home at noon to wash Mike things and clean up... I was so sleepy by 5pm, Mike went to Culver's and picked up dinner. We both fell asleep in our chairs in front of the tv. LOL! I'm going to bed after I post this... I guess Mike was keeping the skittles and candy under the paper piles for a rainy day! LOLOL!!  So typical  ;D ... take care  :-*

{{{Puff}}} LOL! :-*

Oldguy, thanks for weather info for Clynn.

Congratulations Great Grandpa Camper!

Karen, I pray you will qualify and be able to get the shot.... sweet good night cartoon... SED  :-*

Kb, sweet owlet, thankful they were able to rehab and return to nest.

Baz, sit/think/say it!  ;D ... You are so cute! Love the jumpsuit and yes, it was the style then. I loved wearing them. I sewed a lot of 60's mod dresses, so easy to make and fun/colorful fabric available.

TGiF and Good night!

TSK and Clynn, LOLOLOLOL!!! Ed and Tim - in the gutter, starving and dirty. I laughed out loud!  ;D ;D ;D

Tig, congrats to Camper and Family on the arrival of sweet Wyatt Wade! :) :-*

TSK, that's great that your Vancouver friend found that group, and has access to the bus. If she has wet AMD, eye injections have been around for that treatment for a lot of years now, with some newer ones that have been developed since then. Eye injections for dry AMD are a more recent development. I hope she has great success with her treatment.

Clynn, oh, I forgot your drive is that long. Gosh, I hope you get to take some good "walking around" breaks and have good weather. Smooth travels to you.  :)  Loved hearing those family stories and childhood remembrances. Your Uncle Albert's home is wonderful! Is it still standing? That CSN video was a good one! They had great harmonies.

P.S. Clynn... One for your road trip!

Karen, I love your doggy "touch" attachment. Sweet.  :)

Lani, it sounds like you passed the clean-Mike's-office test. He approved after inspection. LOL. That's Louis in that picture with Iris today? The cad! Finn! Hurry!!

CLynn- just want to say before you left later this AM...Wishing you safe travels to your Mom's. I do hope you find her well. And, her house in good shape.  If  you 're able ...please take some breaks from driving so you're not too weary from sitting and  focusing on driving.
LOL  Mike keeping stash of  skittles /candy under stacks of  paper 'for a rainy day'
Wishing everyone a belated 'Good Night and SEDs'.

Good Morning Beakers!  It's Caturday!

Pictures are acting up again, first they are huge, then they are normal, then only one is huge! Strange!

Phyl, I'll be taking off around 8:00. I have three audio books to listen to on the way, it really makes the time go by. It's a pretty easy drive once I get past the Des Moines East Mixmaster traffic! Down through Galesburg and Peoria, then to Bloomington and South at Champaign to Effingham. From there on (70 miles) it's 2 lane roads to Albion. Through Newton and Olney, then Albion. I'll call Kelsey when I cross the Mississippi, I wonder how high it will be! Hope you and Jim are feeling better today!

baz, thanks for the Leon Russell!  And especially the CSN&Y!!  Uncle Albert and Aunt Clara's house was finally torn down a few years after they both passed away, no one was brave enough to live right next to the creek I guess. Mom and I went to look around before they tore it down, the little garden shed was still there, I picked up a small little basket, still have it and it reminds me of them.  I found a great free online radio!  https://www.accuradio.com/  I love listening to the 60s & 70s music, it was real music.

Lani, the water at Mom's was only from the rain coming down the hill, she is nowhere near a river or a creek, but all of the ones in that area are flooded, I am sure! I'll take some pics. All of Mom's family is from the area around Bone Gap, Mom was born in Browns, at home. All 4 of Grandma's kids were born at home. I guess Bone Gap was our anchor all the years Dad was in the Air Force. Always the place we called 'home'.

karen, you're right, and as I say, it is what it is!

tsk, that made me laugh, Tim lying in the gutter next to Ed...  ;D ;D

Hellgate, an article about Iris:  https://nbcmontana.com/news/local/iris-the-osprey-returns-to-hellgate-canyon-nest?fbclid=IwY2xjawJnKnNleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHmCiN7xzzCSuBUzJqwzKMLsxH-GDE_KeyV1B_A_XmgpsuC-2A-ZyoUj-2DD0_aem_r6cI3MRSmR_-iBwaU7zBSA

Big Bear - Another day of family, fun, and fish with Sunny and Gizmo honing their new skills, building muscles by standing/walking and with wingers.
Sunny and Gizmo bring new meaning to “Art Imitates Life”. Both are beautiful, full of soul and personality, being kind and considerate, sharing with each other and taking turns grabbing bites of food. As day gave way to night, both of our cuties, with crops that should be illegal but used as crop pillows instead, shared beaky kisses to end the evening. Cali Condor

GOOD CATURDAY MORNING

BAZI   Yes my friend has wet macular and has been getting injections for years.   I took Mom for wet injections as well.  Thought I had inherited her macular but my symptoms mimic hers.  I actually have a retinal adhesion.  Stable now for 5 years.  Surgery is possible and more likely if my left eye wasn't OK.  Knock on wood.

CLYNN   I'm going to check my map to view your route  ;D   Always loved my audio books when back and forth to Door County, Decorah etc  esp if I knew the route and didn't have to pay attention.  ::)  Great link to music.  I use Pandora.

Good Morning Beakers....Happy Caturday!

tsk - Hope you are feeling much better today.  Geez, you dug a hole after not feeling all that great...you are a SUPER woman!

baz - Love that jumpsuit in the throwback pic. My mama made me something similar to that when I was pregnant with Bradley.  I just had a bagel for early lunch, a plain one, but sesame seed is my favorite.  :D

clynn - Oh, a gentleman with a stick for Iris?   Loved reading about your family.  Hope you had a safe trip to your mom's!

tig - Congrats to Camper, and you too on great grandchild.

Lani - Love the pile of pups last night.

BL - Enjoy your time in Augusta!  I want to know, as I have seen this on Pinterest, do they really have egg salad sandwiches that there that you can buy for lunch?  Have seen so many recipes called The Master's egg salad sandwich.

karen - LOL, will try and get some pics of the kitties.

kb - Fancy for sure...  ;D

Phyl, Puff, oldguy and all - Morning  :)

Yes they do and people tell me they are awesome, but I don't really like egg salad that much so I go for the pulled pork BBQ sandwich.

In fact I'm scarfing one down right now as I type with a cold beer ($6) as Jordon Spieth walked by on the fairway.
$1.50 for the egg salad sammy.
Same prices here since 2002.  :o   :)
$3.00 for the BBQ sandwich so you can't go wrong.   8)
They really get tou on th beer ..   ;)
