Spotted a falcon on January 30. Could not get band number - remained outside the nestbox and only tail was visible.

Painting their tails  ;D right? Finally saw a falcon in the box again. Banded, but I couldn't get the number. I'm glad someone finally showed up here!

2.40 pm  Falcon is still there.
I hear it, caught glimpse of its tail on outer perch.
Its chupping - does that mean another falcon is there too??

It's '5' up top but I could only see a very small part of the top band and I couldn't read the bottom band. This is most likely Malice 59/R bl/blu, the resident male. He nested with P/41 Fearless last year.

Ok it DOES look like the band for Malice.  The female is unbanded............Looked sort of brownish on her back yet too.

At 7:46 he brought in some breakfast that she promptly followed him in and grabbed.  He left when she started eating.

There were a couple nice pigeons checking out the whole nest box and then they skedaddled.

Check upper right corner, Malice showed up  ;)

Pigeons at peregrine nest boxes and geese on eagle nests......................  ;)  And I think it's up in MN there are ducks on an eagle nest.
