Thanks Nora for the info on when U-09 came on the scene here at GSB. I remember this bird was listed as a male. However, I've wondered if the upside down band might indicate that the sex might be in question. Certainly, U-09 behaves like a female around Newman, and is significantly larger than Newman, typical of female peregrines. So, we'll wait and see if this "pair" produces eggs next year. Are there any banding experts who can enlighten us?
