Good Evening Beakers

baz - I just bought the Old Fashion candy at Walmart today!   ;D   ;D "here from tech support to delete your cookies"

Phyl - Thanks for enjoying my cuppa's.  Awww, look at Maggie, she looks like she is thinking....are all these for me?!?!

Lani - The kitty B&B has been very busy with the cold.  We even opened our shed, put straw and an indoor heater in there for whoever needs to go inside. Love your Pups from earlier.  Hope all went well at your eye appt.

tsk - I bet the Church looks beautiful all decorated.  Did you have helpers?

karen - Sorry I didn't get to posting your link today.  I have been out all day, with Jeff and then dealership.

kb - Thanks for the tunes.

Puff - I think you are right about that transmitter on that eagle.  I remember RRP's being a lil bit more bulky looking.

Lori - Good to see you!

BL - Sounds like you had a nice trip.

PHYL    Love Snoopy  ;D   Maggie looks so good.  365  Cool salmon spawning.  What a beautiful duet David and Big  :'( :'(
So interesting after 155 years Campbell drops "soup".  Sure glad they didn't change the color  :o :o :o    So much less of it on our shelves these days.  When we were kids we had a lot of "Bean and Bacon" as Mom liked that one  LOL

OLDGUY   Thanks for info on Kilauea.  Roaring its might head again.

LANI   those 3 pups are hysterical  LOL

BAZI    LOLOL  "I'm here to delete your cookies".  Love the look on the dogs face  :)

LORI   Thanks for the info about Captiva being up and running again.  You hit the spot with all the seasonal cartoons  ;D

BL   So Pips friend is the source of your llamas - Cool.  Enjoy that fire like you always do.  ;) ;)  Lots of nice visiting with friends and family. ;)

KB   WOW  3 bobcats - right place right time.  :o

LISA   Love the Christmas mug  :D   Routine dealer shop visit??

We had a lot of helpers. Amen to that.  Pretty much 2 1/2 hours to be mostly done and can finish with final touches tomorrow AM when the Advent candle comes down after mass.

I must report I was pleased with my efforts yesterday when for the second day I was without sound from my car radio.
Settled in and watch several youtube videos  - those didn't work.  Then came upon one that said " disconnect battery for 30 min" as a last resort.
Well I wasn't strong enough to loosen the bolts so waited til Tim came home.  It worked!!!  No trip to the dealer necessary - However should it happen again - it will be a trip to the dealer  LOL

Lisa- another nice  cuppa cocoa and just look at that latte handiwork !  Jeff may need to build some new kitty B&B's. Dealership...hope 'the putt-putt' is doing well.

Baz- LOL ' ...here from Tech Support to delete  your cookies'. Too funny.

OG--Meant to thank you for news on Kilauea
Lani--how'd the v isit to eye doc go today? Your poochies this AM  ;D

Tsk-- ditto Lisa, Did you get help today? Hope so. No doubt the sanctuary is looking lovely and spiritual.

KB-enjoyed the tunes today;  awesome 3 BOBs just moseying along their trail. Just love the snapshots of them.  We  have bobcats too, usually a Mom Bobcat and her kittens in the
over grown overflow ditch in the spring can hear her muffled growl keeping them hidden and in tow.

Puff- tks  on the transmitter comparison. I saw the difference  right off...

Lori-- so nice to see  you here. So enjoy  your digital handiwork. LOL the Pixies in the crock pot taking a marshmallow 'bubble  bath' .
Tks for Captiva   update...hatching in progress... Pip party too.   Hope all are well.

BL--by the reading...sounds like you both enjoyed your travels. Be safe.

CLynn--let us know y'all arrived safely

Tsk--glad your decorating went well;  less Campbell's on the shelves--Yes.  I  sometimes use certain of their soups as a sauce/gravy.

Good Night Beakers... SEDs

Hello Beakers

The live stream in Hawaii ended at 8 hours, but Charles at Doing Hawaii runs live 24/7    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nyo4lrOIVF0
But it appears that this eruption may already be over - no visible hot lava as of now...

A busy week ahead - having a soup supper X-mass eve and full meal X-mass day on top of working Tue and Thur.  Making chili for tomorrow - got it started this afternoon.  Then slow cooking a ham that I need to start just before the soup supper.

I think the transmitter looks like the cell phone style that was used by the Davenport group - they were tracked the first year traveling within 60 miles of each side of the Mississippi River south to lower Illinois.

Another segment of Music 101

It may take more than a day for some of busy Beakers to watch it all, but I found it very good entertainment... ;)

I went down the proverbial rabbit hole last night.  Several years ago I had watch some videos of a family in Canada with 6 young kids performing a Christmas special.  It was Celtic music with all of the kids playing violins and dancing.  The parents were Natalie McMaster and Donnell Leahy.
This is a sample clip from 7 years ago...
"A Celtic Family Christmas" with the MacMaster Leahy Family   -   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR4aqHmSemg

Now, 7 years later the kids are 6 to 19 - 7 kids in total with 6 performing fully in the shows.  The 6th was born with Downs, but still does as best she can...
Natalie McMaster Donnell leahy family Christmas   -   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0FlUHceHgk

This is where I dove head first in to the hole...
Both parents are from top level Celtic music families...
Donnell from the rural Irish community of Lakefield Ont. raised in music and farming.  8 out of 11 siblings compose the music group Leahy - award winning around the world in Celtic music.
Natalie McMaster grew up in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and the rich Celtic heritage found on that Island.

Both groups brought the children along on tour as they arrived, so was exposed to the stage and music from day 1.  The Leahy Band has expanded it's musical influence over the years.  Their main attraction is still the Celtic sound, but it has morphed.  They include many aspects of classical, jazz, rock, country and religious music into their music.  Most of their music is original and every member has been credited with more than 1 song.  A year ago, Leahy Band released a 7 video series on how they function as a family group.  See their channel for these videos...   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA4vDB3vxQbEq3Y_pKDNiFg

This is the Leahy Band Christmas 2024 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUsn_E5gAQM

As with Natalie and Donnell's children getting older - the Leahy Band as a whole have children getting older - best as I could determine the Leahy Band has 18 children performing on stage for Christmas.  But the Natilie/Donnell children now have their own group...

Tsk, Thank you for posting FB for Karen. I do hope that's a Decorah eagle! Awesome capture.... I hope you had help at the church today. Your church must look lovely.  :-* .. YAY There's always a youtube video to help. Good for you and Tim! I'll remember that.  ;D

Phyl, cute pics of Maggie, she is a beautiful cat... thanks for nature video.... silly thing to remove the word Soup from Campbell's label, just because they're adding sauces and pasta. I've been using their cream soups as sauces for years.

Baz, it would be great if it was our Diva, but I thought her backpack wasn't as flat. This one looked like an iPhone.

Lori, awww Congrats Captiva family, great pics and video.... Fun Christmas posts!

BL, Merry Christmas to you, Pip and Kopje!

{{{Lisa and Jeff}}} you're both St. Francis's angels.... eye appt went went well, just getting changes in my left eye.. cataracts.  ::)

Oldguy, Mele Kalikimaka!  ;D ... Love the story of Major.... Listened to one of the Leahy family's vide. Will finish other videos tomorrow. Thanks Oldguy, fantastic links.

Good night!

Currently: 43F mostly cloudy , High  55F partly sunny, Low 39F

I usually buy Progresso soups for meals as they just have a better taste than 'Campbell's'  brand. IMHO

The Origins of 6 Classic Christmas Songs
Many of the holiday songs played over and over each December were penned decades, or even centuries ago
