Phyl, I got the Meowant litter box. Not that I believe all the rankings out there, but this one had very good reviews. I was all set to cough up big bucks for the Litter Robot, but this one actually rated better... and I can use any good clumping litter. With the Litter Robot they recommend you buy their litter, and it's pricey! Also, this one has a larger opening, so big Harley will fit!   https://meowant.com/products/meowant-self-cleaning-cat-litter-box-mw-sc02   Love the cat in the plaid flannel shirt!  And the 12 days of Catmess!

Lisa, cute cat Christmas tree!  I watch several of the decorating/remodeling shows and the biggest hurdle the people have is picking out things. There are just so many choices and you end up going in circles!  Don't you wish you could just have Erin & Ben or Dave & Jenny do it for you?

tsk, we are going to leave on the 22nd and back on the 29th, a stop in Springfield on the way back! It will be my 5th trip for 2024! Our upstairs bathrooms are next to each other so I think the tub/shower in Kelsey's bathroom will be sufficient. I only have room for one or the other, so for ours it will be just a walk-in shower. If I had room I would have both!

Fabulous Lovers Of Weird Everything

"Many have passed away, and those who are still here are called "the elderly.""
We were born in the 40s-50s-60s.
We grew up in the 50's-60's-70's
We studied in the 60s-70s-80s.
We were together in the 70s-80s-90s.
We got married or not and discovered the world in the 70s-80s-90s.
Adventuring into the 80s - 90s
We're settling in to the 2000s.
We became wiser in 2010s.
And we’re going strong into 2020 and beyond.
Turns out we went through EIGHT different decades...
TWO different centuries...
TWO different millennials...
We've gone from phone with operator for long distance calls, pay booths, video calls worldwide.
We’ve gone from slides to YouTube, vinyls to online music, handwritten letters to emails and Whats App.
Live games on the radio, black and white TV, color TV, then HD 3D TV.
We went to the video store and now watching Netflix.
We've known the first computers, punch cards, disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones.
We wore shorts all through our childhood, then trousers, ep pants or mini-skirts, Oxfords, Clarks, Palestinian scarves, jumpsuits, and blue jeans.
We avoided childhood paralysis, meningitis, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19.
We've done roller skating, roller skating, tricycle, bicycle, moped, gasoline or diesel and now we drive hybrids or electric.
We played with the little ones
horses and checkers, ostrich and marbles, 1000 threshold and monopoly, now there's candy crush on our smartphones
And we read... much
And our schoolmates religion was not a subject...
We used to drink tap water and lemonade in glass bottles, and the vegetables on our plate were always fresh, today we get meals delivered
Yes, we have been through a lot but what a beautiful life we have had!
They might describe us as “ex-annuals”; people who were born in this 50s world, who had an analog childhood and digital adulthood.
We should add the Biological Revolution that we have witnessed. In 1960, biology was very descriptive. We have witnessed the event of Molecular Biology: the molecules of Life have been discovered: DNA, RNA etc. When you see everything that has come from it: gene therapy, gene fingerprints, and others the progress is considerable.
We kind of have "seen it all"!
Our generation has literally lived and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.
This is our generation that has literally adapted to "CHANGE".
A big congratulations to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE.. "

FYI regarding SWFL  No problem at their nest.  I'm not a regular and don't know their viewing habits.  Since they hadn't been on since Friday a.m. - and nothing until noon today and because their last post yesterday talked about an intruder, I kinda jumped the gun.  Their moderators aren't on as frequent a sked as Decorah.  And, but, they also don't open unless one of their mods takes to the cam/air.

However there is talk and excitement for possible good things might happen next week.

I've been  watching the re-opening / dedication  service at Notre Dame de Paris . The rendition of 'Amazing Grace' was wonderful..spiritual 'fill up'.

Here's an early close to the day.

KB    LOL  that was funny.  Something about that concrete...That version of Amazing Grace gave me goosebumps!

TIG   Thanks for passing that piece on with Coldplay and DVD.  He's not afraid and has lived a life he always wanted to live...

PUFF    How interesting to have those Dec 6,7,8 have meaningful memories of Dad for you.

CLYNN   I always wondered if a cat would change from one little system it was used to  to another.  You'll let us know.  Boy, they aren't cheap  :o :o    You've put a lot of miles on your car this year!!   I've seen that piece on the "elderly" before.  When you lay it all down on paper we have seen an incredible amount of change.

LANI   That first man with the 3 white kitties is fighting a losing battle  LOL    Cat and window bucket  ;D ;D ;D    Mouse and cat and turkey and hen repeat  LOLOL

LORI   thanks for today's sunshine  ;D
